Chelsy Under Fire For Advocating African Hunting

Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, is under fire from animal rights campaigners after attending a convention to promote big game hunting in Africa.

Chelsy, whose father has made millions operating a safari in Zimbabwe, attended the Safari Club International Event in Nevada, USA. The Safari Club is a non-profit organisation that prides itself on being the “leader in protecting the freedom to hunt”.

Tim Phillips, of Animal Defenders International, has criticised Chelsy for being an advocate for the organisation. He is quoted as saying “Safari Club is a group who are happy to hunt and kill pretty much animal that moves. For Chelsy to put her name, and the mark of the Royal Family, to that is disgraceful. The British public will be disgusted.”

It’s not surprising that Prince Harry has chosen for a girlfriend someone who is involved in abusing animals. Her father has made a fortune out of massacring wildlife life for fun. What a shining example these people are. They are all disgusting. It seems the royals prefer the company of people who indulge in cruelty towards animals, despite the Queen being Patron of the RSPCA – what a mockery!! Prince Philip is a prime example – he used to be president of WWF – what hypocrisy. I hope that when Chelsy Davy, her father and his vile gun-toting clients and all the animal abusing royals are on their deathbeds that they are confronted by the souls of the animals they murdered for entertainment during their worthless lives.

Hunting is a cruel and unnecessary “thrill” for those not smart enough to pursue other “hobbies, habits or “sports” that normal people do.

Isn’t there enough killing of helpless animals that this shouldn’t be further perpetuated?

Get real – get a life!!!

Well her parents own and operate this kind of SAFARI park so what else could one expect from her and of course he follows like the little puppy !

When you ask people what it means to go on safari they usually reply by saying it is a lovely treck through the African countryside with camera’s in hand – looking at and photographing beautiful and protected wildlife ! Not so – not on this kind of Safari ! Here we have the most amazing animals, bred for the sole purpose of wealthy, cowardly men and women picking up guns going out on what they call a ‘ hunt ‘ in their landrovers and shooting them down ! It is a status symbol for those who take part in this barbaric slaughter of captive bred animals – they will also try to justify it by saying that this is CONSERVATION as they are not taking from the ‘ wild ‘ – - the killing disgusts me – these kind of people disgust me !

How wonderful and challenging it is to be able to hunt with a camera and leave the wildlife to live on as they are meant to !

I no longer get angry — just sad — when I hear that a public figure comes out in the open to support barbarian acts such as hunting. This is such an act of cowardness because the hunted cannot fight back in fair competition.

This woman would be infinitely more useful to herself and to the world if she put her energy into something that would enhance humanity, not bring it to a level lower than what it is already.

I know for a fact that Prince Harry’s mother Diana, opposed hunting and shooting. So why is Harry following on his father’s family traditions of hunting and shooting? More and more members of the public at large disagree with this type of animal cruelty. If Prince Harry and his girlfriend want respect in the future, then show the people of this country that you are a compassionate, caring person – like your mother was. And put your time and energies into doing worthwhile things for humanity and animal welfare. Only then will you gain the respect you will need to hold onto the Royal throne.

I’m not amazed at all. So called “upper-class” people live in disdain for anything not belonging to their incrowd, humans as well as non humans. They don’t pity and they don’t have moral considerations; they go their own way as long as they can go unpunished. As they have the Might, they take the Right.

Those who enjoy torturing and killing living creatures are poster children for moral idiocy. They take joy in the ugliness of pain and death, enjoy inflicting it, and thereby give way to the basest of human emotions. By what perversion has a necessity for survival become a bloodlust for fun and profit? In this day and age, only the ignorant and the arrogant hunt. Those who enjoy and promote canned hunts are simply the lazy and the gauche. May intelligence win the battle with ignorance, and eliminate cruelty for fun. In sophisticated circles, hunting simply isn’t done.

It is the responsibility of the monarchy to reflect the views of it’s nation. They never have. The majority of the population in Britain despises hunting of any kind but the Royal Family continue to do it regardless. Unfortunately this latest debacle involving Chelsy Davy is hardly surprising. She is absolutely pitiful and I am starting to agree with these comments about doing away the monarchy entirely.

I am shocked that a modern young woman could consider big game hunting is a worthy pursuit when hunting has been banned in her own country for reasons which her intelligence should dictate. This is an appalling reflection on her moral standards and demonstrates a pathetic arrogance.

Don’t be surprised, don’t be disappointed with them, they are just running true to type. We have moved on but they haven’t. They don’t have to. They have money, power and the inertia of the english keeping them in power.

The British royals would improve their image beyond measure; if they would only behave as civilized environmentally conscience folk behave.
STOP with the blood sports. You’re living in the Dark Ages. Think about what you are doing, for a change. The more genteel element in society finds hunting to be completely unacceptable and the people who indulge in blood sports to be completely offensive. Let the change begin with Charles. He talks to his plants. How about talking to wild life instead? And Harry – Rid yourself of a girlfriend who is a walking advert for the killing of animals.

We urge Harry, Chelsy, and their dads to take a look at our website http://www.all-creatures.org/cash. They will find so many reasons to give up hunting. They range from cruelty to environmental, and even social.

But I guess anyone who goes to a party in a Nazi uniform and thinks it’s funny, would also think that blasting wildlife is a gas as well.

THE ACTIONS OF PRINCESS DIANA’S SON, HIS CHOICE OF FEMALE COMPANIONSHIP AND THE HEARTLESS CAVALIER ATTITUDE TOWARDS NATURE’S CREATURES ARE BLACK MARKS ON HIS MOTHER’S MEMORY.
IF HIS MOTHER HAD LIVED PERHAPS BOTH HER CHILDREN WOULD HAVE RISEN ABOVE THE MONARCHY TRADITIONS OF HUNT AND DESTROY TO HEIGHTS OF COMPASSION AND RESPONSIBILITY.
IT APPEARS THAT THEIR STATION IN ROYALTY HAS ONLY LEFT THEM WITH A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT THAT THEIR BEHAVIOR IS ACCEPTABLE NO MATTER HOW DEPLORABLE AN EXAMPLE THEY SET.

“Compassion is most important for happiness. We must treat fellow human beings as equal, that is very important, but also all beings who have capacity for feeling. So the innate desire for happiness that is the basis of human rights extends to all sentient beings, including animals and insects. There are now some individuals and organizations who care about animal rights and are showing concern about the suffering or torture of animals. I have noticed among ordinary people, out of their love and compassion, growing efforts for promotion of vegetarianism. These are the right kinds of expression of compassion, very positive and encouraging signs.” — His Holiness the Dalai Lama

How very very sad that Chelsy would promote this brutal blood bath….and sad that Prince William would even associate with her….also terribly sad that Chelsy’s father makes his living off the SUFFERING of these defenseless animals!
I am sure Princess Di would NOT be happy with her son’s choice of a girlfriend that clearly has no compassion for our animal friends. Diana raised her children to be compassionate….her teachings to them appear to be in vain…
Stalking and killing helpless animals is pathetic and so is the likes of Chela for promoting this blood sport! William, you can do much better in your choice of a girlfriend…dump this idiot and be with someone your mom would approve of..one that has a HEART full of COMPASSION for our animal friends…tho what can we expect when you are influenced by a father that has taught you to not respect and care for our animal friends. I live in hope that, despite their privileged and extremely cruel backgrounds, they will one day (and hopefully very soon!) engage their brains and realize that there is another way to live their lives – alongside, and in compassion with, all other creatures with which we share this earth.
