Chelsy Davy rushed to Hospital

Chelsy Davy in LondonPrince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy was rushed to hospital for an appendix operation yesterday.

Chelsy, 21, collapsed in agony just after breakfast at her home in Cape Town, South Africa, and was taken to the city’s Christian Barnard Hospital where doctors immediately rushed her in to theatre. Blonde Zimbabwean Chelsy was said to have been shaken last night.

Pals told how later she was sitting up in bed joking with hospital staff after surgery. It is thought her mum Beverley tried to contact Prince Harry, 22, shortly after Chelsy fell ill. He was more than 6,000 miles away on Army exercise in England.

A pal of Chelsy said:

“It was a very frightening day for her. She collapsed in agony just after breakfast and was suffering severe pains in her stomach. She had no idea what was wrong and was worried it may be linked to a tropical illness she may have picked up on her recent holiday with Harry to Botswana.”

Doctors kept Chelsy in hospital for observation for a few days. Appendicitis can be fatal if not diagnosed quickly but most patients make a full recovery within four weeks. (via The Sun)
