Sporting shades and a wide grin, Chelsy Davy appeared to take her first day at Leeds University in her stride.
Dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, and clutching a voucher for free sandwiches, Prince Harry’s girlfriend appeared well-prepared for freshers’ week. The 21-year-old Zimbabwean chatted with friends before sighing up for her postgraduate law course.
Miss Davy, who met Prince Harry three years ago in Cape Town, is thought to have arrived in the city on Sunday night after helping the prince celebrate his 23rd birthday.
After arriving at the university at 9.15am, she met a friend for coffee at a café opposite the campus, before attending a welcome meeting in the law faculty.
Miss Davy, the daughter of a millionaire safari operator, has a degree in politics and economics from the University of Cape Town.
Leeds’ students’ union claims to have the longest bar in Europe and the university’s alumni include BBC royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell and the impressionist Alistair McGowan. (via The Telegraph)
