Harry Down in the Dumps on evening out with Chelsy
Prince Harry and his girlfriend Chelsy Davy look decidedly down in the dumps after a night out. The tension between the couple was clear as they went clubbing in the early hours of yesterday.
Onlookers said the normally bubbly couple appeared to be angry that fellow revellers had been taking photographs of them on mobile phones.
Chelsy, 21, who last month started a two-year law course at Leeds University, looked close to tears as she jumped into the front of their waiting security car, leaving Harry, 23, in the back.
They drove from a Latin Salsa night at the newly opened Azteca bar on the King’s Road in Chelsea to nearby Amika nightclub. But there was no improvement in their mood when they left at 3.30am. This time Chelsy jumped in the back while Harry, an officer in the aptly named Blues and Royals Regiment, sat in the front.
It was the end of a difficult week for Harry. Friends say the inquest into his mother’s death has “hit him like a sledgehammer”.
He faced further distress on Friday when artist Daniel Edwards unveiled a sculpture of him lying dead in a military uniform intended to honour those willing but unable to serve in Iraq.
The work, showing the Prince lying with his head on the Bible before the Union flag with a lock of his mother’s hair in his hand, was condemned as tasteless by the Royal British Legion. Both Harry and Prince William, 25, loathe the paparazzi, who they hold partly responsible for their mother’s death. (via Sunday Express)
