Prince Harry Nose He’s Got a Drinking Problem
Prince Harry has sparked fresh outrage after pictures were released of him inhaling vodka and playing drinking games on a holiday to Africa.
The shots—taken from a video of Harry’s holiday in Namibia and published in the UK’s News of the World —will bring fresh shame on the boozed-up royal. In the video, pals cheer loudly as Harry slugs a bottle cap of vodka, swills it around his mouth, spits it back into the cap and then snorts it up his nose.
Seconds later, Harry—a 2nd Lieutenant in the Blue and Royals —closes his eyes and shakes his head as the alcohol, shooting straight into his bloodstream, takes effect.
Experts on drink abuse have warned that the game is potentially deadly.
The video was shot as Harry enjoyed a four-day canoe trip with girlfriend Chelsy Davy and more than 20 pals on the Orange River in Namibia last November.
The damaging footage will fuel speculation that 23-year-old Harry’s drinking is out of control. The prince was pictured falling over outside a Mayfair club in April and drunkenly partying with Canadian bar girls in June.
And at 3.30am yesterday Harry and 21-year-old law student Chelsy were seen leaving London club, Amika, with her apparently in tears after another boozy night.
A royal source said of the vodka-snorting: “Harry is a young man having fun but this drinking game sets a very bad example. He has responsibilities as third in line to the throne.
“Everyone knows Harry likes a drink but this could have caused him serious damage.” (via Herald Sun)

I honestly worry about both Harry and William’s drinking, but especially Harry’s. They both need to consider what makes them think that being drunk in public, at their level of fame, is ok, in spite of the consequences that the inevitable next-day publicity will bring. Being unable to stop a practice in spite of its continuing negative consequences is one definition of addiction.
