Kate Middleton’s recent trip to join the Royal family at Balmoral has once again sparked speculation that her engagement to Prince William is imminent. But a source close to the couple has said that she will have to wait until 2009 to be a royal bride.
Says the friend:
William is very happy at the moment and everything is great with him and Kate, but he’s aware that now their romance is back on track, all the speculation about a Royal wedding will start up again.
He and Kate have had a lot of discussions about their future together. William has told Kate that he is in no hurry to get engaged and while he does want to get married, he doesn’t want to marry just yet.
If William has his way, there probably won’t be a wedding until July 2009 when he finishes all his military training commitments. As long as Wills behaves himself, Kate will be happy to wait.
And with the young couple reportedly planning to jet off to a private island in the Bahamas for a romantic Christmas break, there is sure to be renewed speculation of an engagement.

That’s good, I’m happy for these two. They are doing their own thing no matter what the media says, nor the publics. No matter what the future holds for these two, my prayers goes out to them.

Amy, I have a feeling that William will make things more official soon. It maybe a engagement or somthing else. Just wait and see.
No wedding until 2009… yes, I’ve seen this article before. This is nothing new, just stating the obvious that William won’t get engaged or married until after his military commitments are done. At least this isn’t more of the annual Christmas engagement garbage we’ve been getting a lot of lately.
I wonder if their “stable” relationship will result in another breakup between now and then, seeing as the track record is one breakup per year with these two.
And I don’t see how any informed person (i.e. someone who’s been following this drama from the beginning) could seriously believe their relationship is strong, or going from strength to strength, as they have yet to be seen together in public sober (or even happy for that matter–William looks pissed off and Kate is grinning insanely as always) since the April breakup… jmo
