Chelsy Davy has reportedly turned down the opportunity to rebuild her relationship with Prince Harry in Dubai over Christmas after her dad told her to concentrate on her studies instead.

Chelsy was rumoured to have dropped out of her two-year postgraduate law course at the University of Leeds after splitting from Harry last week but campus sources report she is still attending classes and her dad, Charles Davy, is adamant that her romantic difficulties should not impact her future career.

A source told the Daily Star that Harry proposed the luxury Christmas break to give them time to reconcile but it’s too soon for Chelsy: “Chelsy and Harry might do a Wills and Kate and rekindle their relationship [but this] cooling-off period could do them the world of good.”

“Her dad is right, she needs to focus on her exams and her family over the next couple of months. Chelsy doesn’t want her problems with Harry and the subsequent media storm to affect this vital point in her course.”

The source added: “[Chelsy and Harry] can have a fresh start in the New Year. Christmas is emotional enough as it is, and it’s not wise to make plans this far in advance, when their relationship is in this sorry state.” (via Fametastic)
