The Queen has honoured her promise to visit the family of an RAF officer who died from cancer. The Queen had originally been invited to visit Squadron Leader John Beard, who was suffering from bowel cancer, by his secretary Ann Beba. But the RAF officer who managed the bombing range at RAF Holbeach in Lincolnshire died in December. On Monday, she landed in a helicopter at RAF Holbeach to view a fly-past by four Tornados.
