Chelsy Davy celebrated the news that Harry was returning home in the way she was sure he would approve of – partying with her friends.
The 22-year-old Leeds University student went with friends to a house where a party was in full swing.
They spent several hours drinking, with loud music blaring – and by lunchtime yesterday, Chelsy still had not stirred for lectures.
She and Harry, who have been dating for more than three years, have endured a tempestuous relationship. In November they split up, with Zimbabwe-born Chelsy citing Harry’s lack of support for her move from Cape Town to Leeds as one of the reasons.
When she heard that the prince was being sent to war, however, Chelsy visited him at Clarence House. They have been in contact throughout Harry’s time in Afghanistan.
Despite the distance between them, friends say Chelsy has been acting as a “rock” for the Prince during his stint in Helmand.
The couple have shared tearful conversations by phone, both breaking down at the sound of each other’s voice across the 3,500 miles between them. Housemates of Chelsy’s in Leeds have overheard her weeping as she tries to keep Harry’s spirits up by phone.
Celebrates by partying…wow.

Well done prince harry – i feel bad too that the rotten media had to leak his whereabouts out which could have cost him and others their safety. However, now that he’s back in england, i really hope he doesn’t start the heavy partying and drinking again because he does have a drinking problem. And miss chelsy is already off and running on her partying again, if she ever stopped.
I love Chelsy. She’s doing great by furthering her education AND having lots of her own friends –> unlike that desperate woman Kate Middleton.
Good to see the girl out enjoying herself. I like her too.I’m wondering whether or not the split was just a smokescreen to cover up the fact Harry was going to Iraq. It would explain alot.
Chelsy looks happy with her girlfriends at a night out without Harry you know it’s fun to stay single.
