Kate Middleton flies solo at Cheltenham Festival
Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton arrived at the Cheltenham Festival yesterday in a black trilby almost identical to that of his cousin Zara Phillips.
In the absence of Wills, who is learning to fly with the RAF, 26-year-old Kate was on the arm of his best friend, Thomas van Straubenzee. She wore a thigh-skimming blue raincoat and black low-heeled suede boots, her eyes heavily rimmed with kohl.
She clearly enjoyed her day at the races, in marked contrast to her appearance at Cheltenham last year when she and the prince turned up in dowdy tweed outfits and expressions like thunder. Weeks later, they split.
The separation didn’t last for long, however, and, according to friends, their four-and-a-half-year relationship is stronger than ever with an engagement expected next year.
Next week Miss Middleton will receive another royal seal of approval when Prince Charles joins her and William for a ski holiday in Klosters, the Royal Family’s favourite Swiss resort.
Owing to William’s military commitments, they have spent only a couple of weekends together since the beginning of the year.
They are being accompanied on the trip by Kate’s sister, Pippa. (via Daily Mail)

That’s nice Kate is wearing a black hat identical to Zara how wonderful to hear that. I hope by next year on Christmas William will propose to Kate soon! It will be the best christmas proposal ever and the ring will be in a black box with a red ribbon!

Yeah, Kate and Zara do have great fashion sense. The trilby hats is a big thing with women and men. You see alot of celebrities wear them now. I hear the crowds was thrilled to see her and they really made her smile. She was surrounded with her and William’s friends and I’m glad that her horse won. She has her own way of showing the media and public that she and her relationship is doing very well. It was great to see her.

still 6 years is a long time to wait for an engagement.I still think she calls the photographers to tell them where she is going.the hat looked silly on zara ,and it looks even more silly on her.just because everyone is wearing it doesn’t make it right.remember parachute pants.

So PW/KM will be going to Klosters this Thursday with POW and tagging along Pippa ?! Lets see.
On the other hand, PW was seen on the next to town Movie Theaters watching Rambo with a couple of RAF friends this past tuesday.

I quite like Kate’s outfit except for the boots. They look very worn out. But I love what Zara wore. She has her own style and usually looks great, IMO.I don’t think Kate looks old beyond her years. She’s 26 and dresses like a mature adult and not like some teenage girl. But she doesn’t look 40. :rolleyes:
Gracen, there is no law that requires the heir to marry a virgin. The only law concerning suitable wives is that they are not supposed to be catholic. There might have been a tradition for the heir to marry an aristocratic virgin but ever since Charles and Diana, I’m sure they’ve learned to give up on that idea (and nowadays it’s probably even more difficult to find an aristocratic virgin who’s already of age).

thankyou gracen,actually if you look at kate you can see she looks old for herage.which usually points to lack of good genes,or drug use.either way she stalked prince william into dating her.she will prabably marry him walking down the isle in an almost exact duplicate of his mothers wedding dress .she has a bad habit of wearing things that are way to simular to diana’s.

Well, I think Kate looks beautiful in some of the pics…I absolutely love her coat. Not too sure she isn’t copying Zara and really trying to associate herself with the Royals though. And she is such a poser. However, I think she looks gorgeous and does not look 40.

Marie, I agree with you. I don’t know what everybody else talking about but she looked very good on Friday. I don’t think she was trying to dress like Zara but just ended up with a simular hat. She do have to dress up nicely because she is the girlfriend of a prince so she has to stand out and I think she does that wonderfully. Alot of people was dressed up that day but her and Zara just stood out.

I don\’t understand how anybody can say she looked awful. It might not be your personal style, but awful? If it\’s not your style, you obviously have a problem with today\’s fashion. Kate was dressed in the same way as most young and trendy women would be. She is following the fashion, not copying any particular person. What is so wrong with that? I haven\’t seen any girlfriend of any prince that has been a fashion icon before thet got married. Some of them may have developed their own style now maybe, although most of them also follow fashion just like Kate. I could easily see many of them dressed in a similar outfit. Before they got married they werer pretty much dressing like any other young women.

Kate looked lovely at the races and she looks lovely on the ski slopes. I hope she doesn’t let all the negative comments get to her. No matter what she does, she get critized. To all the naysayers, How can you say such awful things about someone you don’t even know and don’t have any proof of what you say? I would sure hate knowing someone so critical. Life is way too short to look at the down side of everything. Hoorah for William and Kate.

at last, she have shown her face, the kitty-kate!w/out william since december is no doubt a sign they are no longertogether,bur her smiling face can not hide the pain, look at her slim figure! i’ve heard she is now working in an industrial company away from malls, good for her at least she recovered already and maybe learned from her mistakes!
