There will be some striking gaps in the ranks when the Royal Family gathers at Windsor Castle for the traditional Easter parade on Sunday.
With Princes Charles and William away skiing and Army officer Prince Harry on leave in South Africa, the glamour was to come from the Duke of York’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.
But while Prince Andrew will be on duty at his mother’s side, the two Princesses will be absent, having been whisked away to Europe for a mystery trip to mark Eugenie’s 18th birthday. It is the first time the girls have not spent Easter with their grandmother, but the Queen has given permission for Fergie to take the girls abroad.
“It’s a birthday treat for Eugenie, who is also bringing some of her close friends,” I am told.
Apropos Beatrice, I hear she has dropped plans to study textiles and design at university. Instead, she will study for a degree in history at Goldsmiths College. (via Daily Mail)
I’m sure the girls will enjoy their time with their mother in celebrating Eugenie’s 18th. I still remember my 18th, mothers always know the best possible way to enjoy your coming of age.
I’ve got a few years until my 18th so I will have to find out what my mother will do then. I hope it will be as fun as you say yours was Claire.
BOT: Does anybody know where she is going? I know it says mystery trip but does anyone have any ideas?
Is this an old picture of the girls. Eugenie looks nothing like the magazine spread.
I think they did cgi affects on the magazine spread
I wish I could go to a magazine and have a few years removed from my face and body.
