The Royals at Windsor Castle Easter Service

PHOTO - The Queen at an Easter service, 2008Spring seemed very much on Queen Elizabeth’s mind as she chose her outfit for the traditional Easter service at Windsor Castle this Sunday.

As sleet peppered the area, the Queen arrived at the chapel wearing an extremely spring-like light-pink two-piece with matching hat. Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the 81-year-old monarch led a host of royals to the service.

By his mother’s side was new dad Prince Edward and his wife, the Countess of Wessex. Wrapped up well against the weather, the Queen’s only daughter, the Princess Royal, was joined by her husband, Timothy Lawrence. Celebrating their last Easter as singletons were Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, and his fiancée, Autumn Kelly. The couple are due to tie the knot on 17 May.

Pretty Canadian Autumn looked every inch the stylish bride-to-be. Sporting a monochrome ensemble, her blonde hair was set off by a feathery fascinator – a headpiece popular with her future cousin-in-law, Princess Eugenie.

Also in attendance were Lady Sarah Chatton and Prince Andrew, by himself as his two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, spend time in Verbier to mark his youngest daughter’s 18th birthday.

After the service, led by the Right Reverend David Conner, the Queen made her way outside the chapel where a group of children were waiting to present her with some colourful posies.

A car was waiting to take the British monarch and Prince Philip back to their quarters. The rest of the group made their way on foot. (via Hello Magazine)

I watched Barbara Walters special about the BRF, one thing that caught my attention was that HM has so much energy. Example, she walks way too fast for her age and not a hair out of place. Hope she stays healthy and strong always..

Any other case, if PW decides to wed a girl who is not Anglican, she has to renounce her faith and convert to Anglican, or PW may step down in the thrown of line.

Anyway his actual girlfriend - Catherine Elizabeth Middleton not only is English, but she is and belongs to the Anglican Church.

That is something I have always love about the Queen. When she was corinated she vowed to serve England as queen until her death, and easter proves that she is far from it.

Jenny, that is true that Andrew have been single for so long. I have a feeling that his heart is still with the Duchess of York They are both single. Every now and then you hear a rumor that they might be dating some else but they seem to stay loyal to each other, even after the divorce. Her Majesty is very young at heart and she really don’t look “nearly” 82 years old. She has her mothers genes but her health is also a blessing from God. She also takes care of herself. I think she is also glad to have lived long enough to see her grandchildren doing very well and with the loves of their lives. Long may she reign.
