Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly’s low-key Royal Wedding
Keen to keep his wedding low-key — although a marriage ceremony in front of 350 guests including the Royal Family at Windsor sounds anything but modest — Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips has turned down the chance of a ceremonial presence.
“The Queen offered to have a dozen members of the Gentlemen at Arms on duty as ushers to show guests to their seats at St George’s Chapel,” I am told.
But 30-year-old Phillips, who will marry Canadian-born Autumn Kelly in May, has declined his grandmother’s generous offer.
“Peter and Autumn have told everyone they want to do their own thing. The ushers are standing down.” (via Daily Mail)

A wonderful example of how to conduct a relationship. I wish them the best and hope for their wedding day, Kate Middleton will be kind enough to stay away. She will be a distraction if she shows up. I hope William can go to one event without Kate attached to his arm.

I think if he where the 2nd or 3rd in line it would not be ‘a wonderful example’…after all don’t think Peter is inviting the Presidents, PM’s, Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Aristocrats, Billionairs, etc. around the world. It sounds more of a 350 family and friends both sides.
…but most likely PW and PH will do so when its there turn to marry (probably simple but at the same time regal), not because of tradition (carriages, waving from the balcony, etc), but because money makes the world go round and marriage + the wedding list of invities = formalization of cordial, business, political and social ties needed to keep on with the responsabilities of the Monarchy with those who are in the wedding list and the British subjects, both are Princes and have titles, and will hold responsabilities, more after the Queen steps down.

If KM is to go, she and PW may perfectly plan there way in/out without being a ‘distraction’. The wedding is not Chelsea Street, Mahiki, Bouji, Africa Africa, Cheltenham or Heathrow Airport.
As I said before, is she managed to in/out Camila’s birthday (planned) no ‘distraction’ from the birthday girl, then she and PW may do exactly the same thing at St. George’s and Windsor.

No distraction to Camilla’s party except the headlines being all about Kate and her night walk upstairs around 2am for a fall in the sack after her closer-than-a postage-stamp-dance with horny William. I hope she stays away, because whether she is seen or not all headlines will be about Kate and how she and William hooked-up later for their passionate night of love. Kate is too in love with the camera’a to ignore them on Autumn and Peter’s wedding day, she will be there smiling ear to ear upstaging the brides headlines, given the chance.

Tell it to the Daily Mail, they are the ones who described William and Kate on several occasions as dancing together or being closer than a postage stamp. She’s just a new Camilla in my opinion, always available and he’s just a new version of Pr. Charles.

In my humble opinion, I think that if William loves Kate, that’s the most important thing. After all, we hope never to see another Charles and Diana situation which put both parties as well as Wills and Harry thru hell. I want William to be happy and have a family that makes him feel happy and secure – so I’ll just trust his judgment on the matter. He seems to be very level-headed, very independent minded and I don’t think he will allow himself to get pushed into a marriage that he doesn’t want.

I like Charles and I like Camilla. They are soulmates from years ago and should have married each other in the first place. I have great respect for Prince Charles with all the wonderful work he has done for others with both THE PRINCE’S TRUST and his many other charitable organizations. He’s helped many people thru the years and continues to do so. I also think he will make an excellent King. I don’t want to see William rushed into “the top job”. Let William enjoy his 20’s and 30’s. There’s plenty of time for him to completely give himself over as King.

Thank goodness that Peter and Autumn’s wedding will be private so there won’t be any papz inside. All we’ll see are the official photos and those are always taken according to a list by the bride and groom. My understanding is that William is best man or supporter so he will definitely be included in photos. If Kate is included we can be sure it is because the bride wants her in them. That would tell us all that William and Kate are privately engaged.

When William gets married it will be a state occasion because of his place in line for the throne and will have as much pomp as Charles and Diana’s did. Harry will have a wedding more on the order of Andrew and Sarah, unless William would renouce the throne, then Harry would get the pomp. It all has to do with the place in line.

Cinthya great, I hope you learn english fast, faster. Your brother in law probably got tiered of the Army, perhaps the Irak War – and the controversy that surrounds the deployment, in the first place.
I’m from Australia – but I have been living many years in South America, so I also speek spanish, as my second language, being english my native language (1st). So maybe if you need to express yourself better in english I may help you, although practicing your english will help you more, than doing it the easier way using a translator (cheating)

Prince William has his own money that he inherited from his Mother. We got it when he turned 25.
