PHOTO - Happy HarryPrince Harry, fresh from active service in Afghanistan, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

Prince Harry was promoted because he has completed two years in the Army

The Prince, on regimental duties at his barracks in Windsor, was elevated from second lieutenant because he has completed two years in the Army.

His salary has risen from £20,173 to £24,247. If he remains in the Army, he can expect to be promoted to captain in three years.

When Prince William joined Sandhurst in January 2006 his younger brother was there to greet him.

Officer Cadet Wales, as the future King became known, had to salute Harry when the younger prince was commissioned as a second lieutenant in April of the same year.

But as Flying Officer Wales he has caught up with his brother. (via The Telegraph)

Cheers PH ! What a big smile :)

I’m proud the boys decided to do some time in the military – the Monarchy and its subjects should be proud – they could have been doing nothing at all in the confort of the Palace, but they decided to put part of their life time into the Military with all its dangers – going to war (if allowed) or not.

    He is so handsome.

Its not so much, an ordinary non royal military Lieutenant earning that would pay house, electrical bill, food, wife, kids, school, tax and every other thing a normal person would need to pay.

I’m glad PH is earning his money, even though he is a Millionaire – Billionaire – a Prince.

Britain’s Prince Harry has been banned from DJ-ing at a Leeds music festival by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

The 23-year-old royal was said to be desperate to join his girlfriend Chelsy Davy behind the decks at the Wax: On Live event in the grounds of Lotherton Hall on May 31, and was devastated when he was told it would not be possible.

A source close to the prince said: “Harry is a big follower of Reverend and the Makers, who are one of the 60 acts who will be performing at the event. He’s brilliantly miffed about being banned from DJ-ing with Chelsy. He’ll be gutted if the queen bans him from partying altogether.”

While Harry has been forced to pull out of DJ-ing, Chelsy has no such plans.

The Zimbabwe-born beauty was ecstatic after being offered the opportunity to perform with her favourite band Primal Scream at the music event and she can’t wait to spin some tunes.

Dan Blackledge, the creator of Wax: On Live, confirmed to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “We have sent a record bag invite to Chelsy as she is a fan of the Wax: On Live night. I can guarantee it will be an interesting VIP area – we can’t wait!”

A source close to the blonde beauty added: “Chelsy is agonising over which songs to play at the event. She is a massive Primal Scream fan.”

bluefire, thank you, but I think we all know about that old news (8 days old) ;) It brought mixed feeling withing the public. He later with the RAF said where sorry, we also discussed it here, where I think only Will and Me agreed that he/RAF shouldn’t have said sorry to the Chinook flight (s). If you scroll down the home page, perhaps you may still find the news by BRW.
