Video: Prince Harry awarded Afghanistan Medal
The papers are very interested in the presence of Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy at a ceremony where he received a campaign medal for service in Afghanistan, and she features heavily in the Mail and the Telegraph.
Apparently it’s the first time she’s attended a formal royal event, and the Times is in lyrical mood with its headline: “Chelsy sees her warrior prince rewarded.” (via BBC News)

Chelsy’s date to meet the Queen at Peter Phillips’ wedding
Prince Harry will formally introduce girlfriend Chelsy Davy to the Queen for the first time next week.
The 23-year-old prince will use the wedding of his cousin Peter Phillips to introduce the Zimbabwean-born student to his grandmother.

read on…
Contrary to speculation, Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton will not be attending the ceremony at Windsor Castle on May 17, the Mail understands.
William has cited a prior engagement, although the 25-year-old royal will not be attending the FA Cup Final as expected as President of the FA.
In fact he and Miss Middleton have taken the opportunity to go on holiday together before the prince joins the Royal Navy for a three-month attachment.
He did, however, controversially attend Peter’s stag party on the Isle of Wight last month, flying himself and Harry down in an RAF Chinook helicopter.
Hmmmmm whats this ? not good !

How controversial

Wills and Kate miss Royal wedding
PRINCE William will miss the Royal wedding this month – to go on holiday with girlfriend Kate Middleton.
Wills and Kate, 26, had booked two weeks away before he starts a three-month Royal Navy attachment in June.
But they will miss William’s cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding to Autumn Kelly on May 17. Wills is said to have apologised.
A senior source said: “William has already got the couple’s blessing.”

has kate been formally introduced to the queen, andI thought peters wedding was sapose to beabout peter ,and his soon to be wife .william snubbing his cousin with his cousins blessing ,i doubt it
May 6th, 2008 20:44
maybe autumngave her blessing ,because she did’nt want the middleton parade,so kate asked william to not go as well.like when cailla was rejected, and charles decided not to go to an event

I think if PW goes alone or together he will be center news anyway, I just have a gut feeling this is not true and they will go. But why would CH or even PW want to make this “lie” to the press.
I really don’t want to think the worst that KM wasn’t invited, because she was at Peter’s b-day and shared with Autumn and Zara.
I have a mixed feelings about this article, don’t really know what to think. Really don’t know if there doing this for P&A, or something worst.

true me ,something is off about this.william would never miss peters wedding .he helped him through the death of his mother

Let’s all wait until we find out the real reason behind what happened. All the rumors and smart aleck comments are going to change facts.
Right away, the comments start that Kate’s to blame. While I am surprised William would miss Peter’s wedding (if this is true), I doubt Kate has anything to do with it. It intrigues me that some people are determined to blame this woman for everything - I guess she’s also to blame for the recession we’re currently in and the Iraqi war and every other problem.
I don’t feel for a minute that William would miss the wedding without some good reason because I’m certain the Queen would have a say about him going off on vacation and not attending the wedding (with or without Kate). This is a very important family event and there must be a very good reason that they’re not going.
May 6th, 2008 21:30
I meant to say, The rumors and smart aleck comments are NOT going to change facts.
May 6th, 2008 21:31
good point ,lets wait ,and se what the really good excuse is ,or if he actually attends
May 6th, 2008 21:36
Guys calm down. I don’t believe the story myself. I feel that William wouldn’t miss this event for nothing in the world. Kate has been introduced to Her Majesty but this is a great time for Chelsy to meet her and The Duke of Edinburgh. I just know that they will be there. If not then they must have a great excuse of not attending. To me, the story is false.
May 6th, 2008 22:14
Claudius,
I agree with you.
May 6th, 2008 22:34
I doubt it that Kate would miss the chance to be at the wedding to go on holiday.. The wedding is much more important function for her (not because she likes the couple) but because is one more chance for her to show the world that SHE IS WITH PW. She can go on holiday at any time anyways is not like she does anything for a living

Jenny,
You are so obnoxious with comments like the “Middleton Parade”. THAT COMMENT IS NOT A POINT OF VIEW. It is simply rude and stupid.
The equivelant of that idiotic comment for someone who likes Kate would be to constantly say, “Kate is sooooo beautiful”, EVERY SINGLE TIME A NEW TOPIC COMES UP. Noone has ever said something like that! You are so repetitive and petty.
Honestly, you need to stop or be stopped. So many posters have already made comments about you, and a few have even left the board. You are and adult for God’s sake!
May 7th, 2008 00:26
MGR - You have made valid points. Having an opinion or a point of view doesn’t mean making constant rude, repetitive, petty and obnoxious comments over and over again. There are other ways of wording things without getting downright mean and especially always directing the nasty comments towards one person.

This is quite odd…my first thought was that they let this “leak” so the press would think that W and K would not be there and they will show up anyway like the wing ceremony. I do have to say that if that is the case it is bad stragedy and PW needs to rethink who is advising him. The kate haters are all over this acting like she somehow maniplulated or forced the man into taking her on holiday and missing the wedding. It’s hogwash but if they are to marry,PW need to start making some PR moves to introduce Kate to the public in a positive light. IMO, of course.
May 7th, 2008 03:40
‘Middleton Parade’ was actually used in a quote by a Palace source in a Daily Mail article (’william bans kate from attending his wings ceremony’)…I think. The Sun article is written by Duncan Larcombe so it may well be true.
May 7th, 2008 04:04
The Daily Mail’s reporting that Chelsy is going to the wedding but William and Kate are not. So Kate was definitely invited but they have decided not to go for whatever reason….unless of course it’s a smokescreen….
May 7th, 2008 07:07
not everyone agrees ,and that is ok.I think everyone will agree that if this story is true it’s bad for km
May 8th, 2008 03:41
that’s right! kate introduced to her majesty or to the queen, i thinked chelsy was accepted now to the royal family.
May 8th, 2008 03:45
let’s wait and see. to the autumn kelly and peter philips wedding.
