Wills & Kate to miss Peter & Autumn’s Wedding?
Prince William will miss the Royal wedding this month – to go on holiday with girlfriend Kate Middleton.
Wills and Kate, 26, had booked two weeks away before he starts a three-month Royal Navy attachment in June.
But they will miss William’s cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding to Autumn Kelly on May 17. Wills is said to have apologised.
A senior source said: “William has already got the couple’s blessing.” The Queen and 300 guests will see Princess Anne’s son, 30, marry at Windsor Castle.
Meanwhile Autumn, 30, has revealed Peter hid his Royal roots from her for six weeks. She only found out when she spotted him on TV next to the Queen. (via The Sun)

As far as I know the best man story and the current story haven’t actually been verified by solid sources.
My guess is the best man one is probably true, the one about William being on holiday with Kate and missing the wedding not so true!
Surely the RAF have a spare helicopter he could fly home to be at the wedding even if he is on holiday…

From what I can see, this latest rumor was started by the Sun and picked up by the daily mail. I honestly don’t know what to make of it. It makes William look bad and it will turn into another reason for the already obsessed kate haters to work their agenda. Very frustrating. I think William and whoever advises him need to publically address the KM relationship. He is a future king and he cannot expect to keep his GF of 5+ years a secret. If he intends to marry her, she will have a public role and that role will be made more difficult then it should be by the way he is conducting the relationship prior to his marriage. If there is not to be a marriage,then fine he should end the relationship and allow both to move on.
I hope this article is more tabloid BS and they both arrive proudly at the wedding.

maddie, my gut says you are right. I can’t help but to think back to the 2007 breakup that probably wasn’t or the kate won’t appear at the wing ceremony. If PW thinks this sort of thing deflicts attention from them, he is very wrong. It is making it all the worse. It is time for W and K to come out of the closet,IMO.

What makes you think that William and/or Kate have anything to do with this story, maddie? I think it’s much more likely that the papers made this up all by themselves. Or maybe they heard something about a vacation and concluded it would conflict with Peter’s wedding when it in fact won’t. If they really go to Mystique. they could as well leave right on May 17 and have almost 2 weeks before William starts his navy training.

I hope they don’t miss Peter’s wedding and this is just a rumour or Wills has his priorities in the wrong order. Family should come first and holidays can some afterwards. There’s no excuse since everyone knew when Peter’s wedding was months ago and for Wills just to disappear off is rude and will show that he puts himself above everyone else including family. Defend him all you like but if it was my wedding and my cousin suddenly decided he’d rather go on holiday I’d be really irritated with him. Especially since Peter and Wills are reportedly so close I would have thought Wills would be there for him.

jacqueline, Kate has already met the Queen but that’s not the point. I think this story has thrown everybody off focus and it seems to be working. If William & Kate do not attend then there must be a big reason for them to miss it other then them going on vacation. I know that they will be there. This is the event of the year next to the big celebrations for Charles’s 60th birthday later this year.

I guess Kate would have met HM at Will’s graduation from St. Andrews and Sandhurst and she will again at the wedding since she’ll be there, I’m sure.

Guys Buckingham Palace answered a question from a member of the public about the upcoming wedding. They said that this is a private family event and there will be no cameras inside the chaple but only outside. Meaning that we won’t get a chance to see coverage inside but only outside and see the bride, groom and guest enter and exit the service.

This is a ROYAL wedding, a member of the wedding party does not back out at the last minute, barring debilitating injury or illness. He’ll be there. No way the Queen would allow this. Nor is Prince William that stupid to do somethng this disastrous to his image.

So do you think that with the taste developing for pubiliicty fame & money there will be a Peter & Autumn reality show coming up soon? Hope she doesn’t take too much fashion advice from Anne – she might end up another royal clone type – I thought she looked bbetter with her hair down but the makeup is an improvement – it makes her eyes at least look a normal size (picture from hello magazine) the updo makes her look older than Peter, while she looks so young with the windblown outdoorsy look. Don’t give all of yourself away – Peter didn’t fall inlove with a plastic woman, or a clone of the snobs he grew up around!

Well the last engagement I can find listed for William is on Saturday (and for some reason I can only browse the diary on the PoW site till next Wednesday). It’s possible that he’ll be off on vacation on Sunday but he could still return next Friday and I’m sure the DM will inform us that it was a last minute decision and that he had a “change of heart”.

still, i’ll conjecture a bit:
possibly kate went clubbing with her ex-bf because she’s finally had ENOUGH
.she didn’t care if the media caught them leaving together and indeed may have welcomed that publicity
lots of big milestone events will be occurring, such as the upcoming wedding….
very odd how it’s publicly stated that chelsey will attend, with harry, yet now it’s said william will not attend
why? is this cover for fact william will attend the wedding, but sans kate?
for quite a while it wasn’t clear if she’d be invited to it….and it’s still not known if she was/is
but, even if invited, imagine howvery painful it would be to attend the wedding, knowing the marrying couple dated for fewer years than she and william
so, invited to the wedding or not, she’s in LIMBO after all these years—–not an enviable place
let’s suppose she wasn’t invited to the wedding….or let’s suppose some nasty shenanigans have occurred involving william and guests associated with the stag party….or let’s even go so far as to assume she was invited to the wedding with her perpetual status as william’s girl friend, pfffftt
these are all deal breakers, major deal breakers
on top of a long list of deal breakers….such as being left alone over xmas, ignored at events, etc……
the worst of course is no ring and no date, after ALL THESE YEARS…..why would Kate attend this upcoming wedding without her own ring and date? the answer is: she wouldn’t

imagine the absolute most horrid scenario:
harry and chelsey become engaged, while kate is still in limbo!
kate has to look deeply into her soul and realize she has to transform her life
enough patiently waiting as her precious youth slips away
maybe that’s what this is all about
and she’s letting it be known that she can no longer be taken for granted
one problem remains, however: how come she went to the horse riding event?
why didn’t she just blow it off?
