Kate Middleton engagement speculation rises
Kate Middleton has asked friends to call her Catherine, amid fevered speculation that Prince William is about to propose.
The Daily Mail reports that Middleton, 26, has asked friends and family to call her Catherine, a name with a more formal ring and a regal history.
Middleton is currently on holiday with Prince William on the Caribbean island of Mustique, and bookmakers in the UK have stopped taking bets on the likelihood of William proposing while the pair are away.
A friend told the newspaper: “Everyone knows it’s about to happen with Kate and William. There’s a distinct feeling that she has started to become very aware of her position.”
The name Catherine or Katherine has a long history for England’s royals - Henry VIII alone married three of them.
Let’s hope young Middleton’s royal future is a little luckier - Henry cast aside his first Catherine and beheaded another. (via Herald Sun)

Before she’s come back with wills, i hear at magazine that she’s want everyone call her Catherine, and maybe she boring of that name! and i know she’s can become Queen Catherine of Britain someday suit..suit..Good luck for you Catherine Middleton, but i wish someday can become Queen Mariska too! ha..ha..

Princess Anne has moved to St James’s Palace and neither Prince Andrew nor Prince Edward uses their suite of rooms at Buckingham Palace.

An aide said: “Apart from the Queen and the Duke it is usually empty apart from all the household and staff.
“There are considerable savings to be made from scaling down the way the palace is used.”
Royal officials are struggling to keep up with the millions of pounds of repairs to the fabric of the home.
Centuries old masonry around the palace quadrangle has become so damaged massive lumps of stone have been falling on to the car park below. Repairs will cost £5million, say officials.
Other repairs have been put on hold because funds to undertake them are running out.
In his hunt for a home William viewed his mother Princess Diana’s old apartment in Kensington Palace but he didn’t take the move any further.
One aide described it as: “Too expensive and too many memories.”

Well the story about Charles and his bears isn’t a made up story. Friend of his often tell the story that when Charles & Diana didn’t see eye to eye at times, he would go into a guest bed room and take his teddy bear along with him. He’s very atteched to his bears. So was Diana. Her bed was filled with them as her former employee’s remember. When Harry was at Eton, he had a a beautiful picture of his mother by his bed in his room. There’s a picture of it that was released to the public, if you can find it. So I wouldn’t be suprised if William had pictures of his parents and Cathrine in the room. I don’t find this weird at all.

Now that William and Waitie Katie are back from yet another vacation, maybe Kate could do something productive with her time. Instead of getting her hair done and buying clothes.
There are many many abused animals, small children etc. to name a few that need help.
So, do the NOBLE thing and volunteer. William can still reach you by your cell phone.

I don’t get the picture story either, Rman. I think it’s only natural that he would have pictures of his family and g/f there and I can understand that he would not want strangers to touch his personal stuff. What are his army buds doing rummaging around his stuff anyways? I don’t get what’s weird let alone nutty about this.
The Buckingham story I don’t believe one bid. BP is the official residence of the monarch, I doubt William and/or Harry would turn it into a “party palace”. I can imagine that Will is currently looking for an appropriate appartment though. Obviously he would want to move into his own “house” when he starts full time work next year. Even more so if he indeed intents to get engaged and married. That he might not like moving into Diana’s old apartment is only understandable. I guess that leaves St. James though the appartments there are supposedly not very cozy.

not to change the subject but…apparently there is a mug being produced with Will and Kate’s picture on it from the wing ceremony. My ? is…Is it legal to market am item with someones picture on it without their permission or without compensating them? If such an item was approved by either KM or the palace, I think we will have that engagement at any moment!

Lisa, yes I think they had their approval. It would mean a lawsuit if they didn’t. I think everybody should calm down on the engagement talk. Just wait until it is announced. But I do understand the excitment of it all. William & Cathrine has worked hard to get to this point in their lives and know they must be very refreshed from their vacation.
