Details of Kate & Will’s private getaway on Mustique
Regular visitor and commenter on this website, Curious22, has reported news of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s recent romantic holiday on exclusive Mustique Island, in the West Indies.
“Hey Everybody…so I have MAJOR news that can end some of our speculation regarding Will and Kate’s holiday! My friend just got back from Mustique and confirmed that Wills and Kate were, in fact, on the island and they even spoke to them briefly when they (literally) ran into them at dinner…”

I honestly still cannot believe that my friends told me just to post it, even after I told them they could probably go to the papers with their scoop…I guess that’s what good friends are for…they saw how ridiculously excited I was about wanting to post it, and said they would never want to deny me the inherent joy in posting about their vacation…obviously it was said in a very sarcastic and slightly mocking tone, though! Oh well.
Bluefire…as I said, there are no photos…security jumped-in the second my friend took out his camera to take a photo of his child, and Wills and Kate were not even nearby to be seen, at that time…with that strict reaction, they obviously weren’t going to try and take a photo when they were actually in the couple’s presence.
I think you may be confused about the engagement aspect…nobody has said anything about an official engagement…
And, as far as proof, I guess it’s just something that you will have to take my/my friend’s word for…I have been posting here for a couple of months and i have never claimed to know “inside” information, and have been very honest in acknowledging that I know nothing about their personal relationship and have never even seen a member of the royal family etc…so I think I’ve got a pretty good record
And my friends would never, in a million years, make something like this up. They have zero interest in celeb/royal gossip, and we had not discussed the possibility of Will and Kate being there…so there’s no way they would have even been aware of their trip, had they not actually seen/talked to them…
I completely understand the skepticism, though…

Will be interesting to see if any photos emerge of this event. Doesn’t seem to be any on the big photo agencies websites…
I think with both couples (supposedly) there, along with a lot of other “titled” Brits, it would have been fairly tightly stage managed event.
But we’ll see - you never know…

Hello,
I have been making a few phone calls to see if there is any further details on the Charity Boxing Evening.
I was;t able to get additional information but may have come up with some background to some of the recent reports about KM and others.
There seems to be a serious press ban on ‘private’ news and photographs of several of the royals and their friends/partners.
The ban does not extend to articles written on any of these persons so it would seem that several reporters and papers being starved of up to date news and photographs are dredging their files for earlier comment/statements and virtually making up extended stories.
This would or could explain the rush of such articles ad speculations to cover the shortage of hard and current news.
I think I did mention a week ago that any engagement/marriage of W/KM was many months or even years off. It now seems that this may be true but is not really unexpected in circles of those who know but it may not all be PW fault or wishes.
There were other related matters mentioned but I need to think through ramifications.

I was just reading some comments on the forum with all the Kate haters. A poster made me laugh so much. She is attacking Kate for trying to look like she is having more fun than she really is, she is being very aware of the cameras again and she has “antics” compared to others. I guess she didn’t see the pictures of Chelsy, Jecca, Harry, William and others then. She has also too much fake tan , according to the poster, which is telling her that Kate did not go to Mustique, Hihi. The tan can’t come from that holiday obviously. And the dress isn’t the right size. Wow, I’m totally impressed by how much people are able to fool themselves if they want to. They are saying a lot more about themselves than about Kate, though. Poor people.

Yes they certainly have their own “special take” on the pictures. I thought it was especially sick to complain about the fake tan , so that she could state that they didn’t go to Mustique together. That’s twisting things. And I didn’t see any comment on the pics where Kate and Jecca are smiling at each other. Wonder what the explaination will be on that one? Can’t wait.
And what will be said about the pics of Chelsy where she is behaving in the same way as Kate. Will we read about her antics, her hamming it up for the cameras? Oh no, probably not. And her dress is obviosly great and Harry will touch her and show how much he loves her. Oh no, that was William doing that this time. How do we explain that? Can’t wait for more!!

My sentiments entirely. I have written earlier about the unwarranted,nasty and jealous attacks on KM by these idiots who take advantage of doubtful newspaper speculations to get their selfish views in
Now I ask them to look at these photographs so quickly provided by Steven then asses KM’s character ad inner strength. To come out at weekend after taking a week of hatred from some of our members and newspapers shows why William adores her. She has shown everyone this week the qualities she has to become our Queen.
Because events and people do change it may not happen and if it doesn’t what a loss she will be to the country.
William has a jewel and it is now up to him to persuade her that he will make a good husband and eventual King.
Again I apologise to the posters who criticised me for asking Royalty to step in to protect her. Sorry people you were correct.
She doesn’t need it.

I find it extremely interesting that you use words like “higher standard” and “pure”. That is so far from what I read in your posts.They are mean and judgemental, they are very negative and there’s never room for any thought that KM could be an ok person. You expect a lot from your daughtres that you don’t expect from yourself.
I’m personally convinced that KM has been true enoughto herself that she has deserved love and happiness as much as your daughters. And she has got it.

These details are fake. Look at the map of the island… the villas described are nowhere near each other… they would know this if they went to Mustique…

anonymous, I think it’s possible you might’ve misunderstood what Curious22 wrote. Curious 22 wrote that his/her friends attempted to take photos of their child outside on the beach, and they were prevented from doing so by some sort of security. They were told that because of some high profile people on the island, photos were restricted to being taken within the villas/villa compounds only.
Curious22 then said that his/her friends went to a special dinner party that night that was thrown for all the guests, and that the friends bumped into William and Kate at the dinner party. It’s certainly not farfetched, I think it happened.
William and Kate have been to Mustique before, in April 2006, and we didn’t get photos of them on the island then either! We saw pics of them on a boat with friends, but not on the island itself. It seems that a lack of photos from Mustique is the normal situation.

About the villas, Curious22 didn’t say his/her friends said the villas were next to each other. They said they were two villas away from each other. There was no mention of how far apart or how close the villas were.

I didn’t say that they didn’t go. I actually think they were there. I just think the photo-ban is ridiculous and far-fetched (you know how many people are on that island at any given time? they can’t photograph their own group/family? nobody complained that they spent thousands of dollars on a vacation and can’t take ANY pictures?) and two villas away from each other? Again, look at a map of the island.

I think rereading Curious22 may enlighten to better comprehension. If during their first trip to Mustique no pics where exposed, then its plausible for a second round. I agree with Mapleleaf, the Villas where not described as close or far apart, so there goes one, no need to check up on a map, cause the explanation of Maple (refering to Curious) is well said.

Yes I heard about it on the net and we all know it’s not true. We all know that facts that they are doing just fine but that story is not true at all and may be a story from last year’s breakup. I do hate rumors like this. After seeing the happiness on those two in love and happy faces the other night, that story is completely made up or an old one from last year.

If your trying to trace provenance to some story, the logical thing to do is post (link) the story for group discussion, specially when asking urgently a question to fellow posters, but since you started of saying you heard a rumor. Rumor is a rumor, who love to spread rumor around royal websites.
