Prince Harry Lends a Hand in Africa

Prince Harry did his best Bob the Builder impression yesterday as he helped to lay the foundations of a new school for the forgotten orphans of Lesotho.

The Sentebale charity he set up in 2004 aims to ease suffering in the Aids-ravaged African kingdom, where vast numbers of children have been left without parents.

And in a direct appeal, Harry said: “The plight of the orphan children of Lesotho cannot be overstated. I know Sun readers can make a huge difference to their lives and that the people of this country blighted by Aids will be so grateful for any assistance they can possibly give.”

Harry, 23, is in the tiny kingdom with 26 chums from his Household Cavalry regiment.

Sweat dripped from the 2nd lieutenant’s brow as he rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in to the foundation work.

But he said: “There is no point in becoming a patron or setting up a charity just to sit back and let someone else do the work…”

I wonder why nothing much is being said to Prince Harry and team for the hardwork whereas if those were Kate’s pictures coming out Boujous, thousands of replies would be flowing, peole quoting all sorts of remarks like ‘buetiful princess to be…’her outfit looks great bla.. bla..’

Well done Prince Harry and your team, the Royal Family must be trully proud of you.

Great work, Harry! Good to see that he’s so involved with Sentabale. A very clever idea to have his army collegues join the effort as well.

Jenny, I enter this site every day, and I believe in editing/deleting a comment when it breaks the rules - simple as behavior that doesn’t have to be written on the wall and I’m sorry if it affected you or were banned, but you would get totally ‘mad’ (sorry) - offensive language. :( and repetitive…I think the last straw was with our fellow poster who’s vacationing in England…I think you remember what you wrote to her (telling her off)…then crazily you asked her to please inform you about something over there with the royals :(

Anyway, perhaps a break has made you reflect and even if you dislike Kate - you may express it more wisely :)

    Take care.

All I asked is to go up to km ,and see how nice she really is ,I hear from alot of other sites that she really is quite a snob,As for my opinions ,I will never start worshiping her,but I won’t get on to any of you for doing so.
I also doubt the royal house think it is good for her not to work it is hurting her image nit helping, and partying 4 days a week ,how many hours a day is she working. LOL thanks for the link rman.Cannot believe i am allowed to log on again,.here is one for free speech .if you do not like what I post skip it

    For the record;

I have never deleted a post that contained considered opinion pro or anti Kate.

I have deleted posts that contained inflammatory comments. If your post contains really good points and opinions and then you throw in something inflammatory the whole post gets deleted.

If you find yourself banned chances are you crossed the line too many times - don’t take it personally, just move on…

The above is completely inline with the Blog Comment Policy for this site.

I respect people’s right to their opinion. But I also have to consider the “community” as a whole.

I prefer to run a site that is “positive” rather than “negative” and I think most visitors prefer it that way as well (feel free to set me straight if I’m wrong ;-) )

Why everything has to turn to Kate?
Pretty, why don’t use Harry’s girlfriend to compare the news? There’s no necessity to use Wills girl for it, Chelsy has already topics enough!

    Steven,

    KUDOS to you and BRW.

    My two cents worth:

It’s not so much about stifling anyone’s freedom of speach. I just wonder, why go on to a site that is specifically about “Weddings” and Love, and bash those in love. I would think most of us that log in here are basically on, “Engagment Announcement Countdown”. :)
