B, I agree. Eating sensibly is the only way to go long term, but unfortunately easier said then done. I pack a meaty 267 pounds on my almost five foot frame, so I feel for Kate as it must take a whole lot of denying herself to keep herself that trim. I used smoking as an appetite suppressant until I finally quit, and I still can’t figure why they say people gain the smoker’s 15 — try more like 84 ounds!

Kate has 120% of my admiration for making every effort to stay thin and fashionable, be it from smoking, working out constantly, whatever. And let’s face it, that’s kind of her job right now, ’cause if she weighed as much as I did, there’s no way she’d land a Prince, not even that guy from Swaziland.

True but there have been no reports saying that she has given up. A lot of that circle do smoke and Chelsy was also trying to give up at one point but failed. Just because there has been no update, it does not mean that it is not still applicable. However, things may have changed and we don’t know. What I am trying to say is that we only have one article to go by and that is not recent so is not reliable.

As I said above I was concerned when heard that she felt she was overeating and would put on weight. As a woman I know how she feels but I do hope that she has not succumbed to the pressure of being in the public eye. I know there was an article last year which said she had lost a lot of weight as smoking stops her becoming hungry and she said she hated being a size 6. I do hope she is being sensible.

I can’t believe that there is a major discussion going on regarding whether or not Kate smokes and if she had cigarettes in her purse. Is this what we’ve come to – so desperate for news that everyone is obsessing on cigarettes?
Oh Boy – another royal better either get married or have another scandal so we can move on to more interesting conversation.

That is an interesting point, Me — and Maddie you make a really logical point, as usual … five years she has been under the microscope and yet not a single picture of her puffing away!

I hope no one took my previous post as a criticism or that I pass judgement as to whether she has smoked. Alls I trying to say, as a deeply flawed human being myself, that even if Kate has any of these so-callesd vices, well, it’s really not so bad is it?

She could have been holding a pack of cigarettes for a friend who didn’t have a purse with them. I am with Me, I have never seen a pic of her smoking. She seems too health conscious and fit to be a smoker. Most smokers cant do alot of cardio without becoming out of breath easily, but I am just guessing.

Maybe I’m just being silly and over-simplifying, but after reading up on Mette-Merit of Norway, smoking/drugs/drink don’t seem to matter so much in a pre-Princess these days. Wouldn’t most people say she’s doing a great job for the Norwegians as their Crown Princess? I would. So, whatever she did in her single past doesn’t really seem to have made a difference — the gal is performing now.

I’m gonna have faith in Kate that she can stand up and be counted when the time comes.
