Chelsy’s friend Jabu Kirkland sets record straight
A young game-hunting enthusiast has landed in hot water for getting too close to Prince Harry’s lover, Chelsy Davy. This week Kirkland rubbished allegations that he had romanced Davy.
Apparently Kirkland — who cites “rodeo, outdoors and pretty girls” as his interests on the social networking website Facebook — vowed that Davy would be his next conquest.
He insisted that they were “buddies” and that there had been no improper horsing around at Greyville racecourse in Durban. “We’re buddies from varsity days,” he told the Sunday Times.
The outdoorsman said friends had sold the story of his supposed affections to the British tabloids, landing him in deep trouble with the royals.
“Buckingham Palace approached me indirectly. It’s a long story,” he said. “Like, at the Durban July, me and Chelsy were just having a good time with other friends. There’s no romance.”
Davy, the daughter of a wealthy Zimbabwean game farmer, is taking a break in South Africa from her postgraduate law degree at the British University of Leeds. (via The Times SA)

Hello,
It is most unusual for articles like this to come out on incidents so close to Royalty, and the suggestion that BP contacted him however indirectly does not add up.
I do’t know the real story here but this seems very much like a damage limitation exercise very close to PH’s next liaison with CD.
This article would I feel sure have been better not published as it resurrects the Durban racecourse events ,reminds the world of what allegedly happened and invites comments similar to mine.
People remember their Englisg lessons and Shakespeare’s thought provoking ” perhaps he does protest too much” or similar words.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I do not think Harry and Chelsy are destined for the long term. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Sorry, I wasn’t judging or criticising but I thought that his comment “Buckingham Palace contacted me indirectly. It’s a long story” was a little suspect.
Have you ever known BP or CH get involved in any newspaper comments ?
I recall their not commenting ever when PW and KM (or even PH) had contentious articles printed about them, it is just something they don’t do and his saying that cast doubt on his statement in general.
It may be an unkind thought but money does talk in many unlikely situations.

This is the second “friend” of Chelsy who’s prominently featured in a newspaper article. The first was that blond Bubbly girl (can’t remember her real name). In addition to all the facebook pics that doesn’t cast a very good light on Chelsy’s friends and their trustworthyness.
I very much doubt that BP contacted this guy in any way. Why? It’s not like his story is a big deal. So what he’d like to have a go at Chelsy, I bet a lot of men would. That’s hardly newsworthy and certainlynothing for BP to worry about.
The guy wants his 15 minutes of fame and he’s riding Chelsy’s coat tail to get them.

You may well be right and he is after his fame but his family is wealthy, he’s on the brink of becoming a big game hunter in Africa.
Why get involved. He may well be a univ. buddy and ties like that are strong.
As an amateur conspiracy theorist perhaps my nose is letting me down but lets just wait and see what develops.

Just over ten years ago a Princess died and it has been mentioned to me that degrading comments are being made about her on an Internet site obviously in an effort to attract attention in this time of slow news.
I’m sorry but that is the most disgusting attack on a peson who did a lot of good in this world, and is unfortunately unable to respond.

Maybe the Kate bashing has gotten old for some so they decide to attack Princess Di. Some people don’t know when to quit. Can’t wait for William to get back next Friday. It has been kind of dry for royal news with him gone. Not that I didn’t enjoy the Kate sightings at Wimbledon and particularly Lady Rose’s wedding.

At first I t thought dasy was a girl who liked being herself but now I think this girl has some serious issues. First she appears on those compromising pictures and now she appears with another guy. Although she may not be trying to do anything wrong with this guy she needs to be more careful cause she is dating a highly publicity boyfriend.

The Fox news is a rubbish piece with an obvious advert for a “white teeth” process.
The Brown,PW,KM story is an obvious lead in to this advert and is meant to attract any gullible readers by playing true facts with fairytales.
Brown is involved because the trade unions have placed additional holidays on their agenda to continue or increase the Trade Union contribution to Labour’s expenses.
The EU has also approached the UK to increase number of ‘bank holidays’ to bring us nearer to other EU state who have more holidays than UK.
The PW/KM story is to attract attention and note the advert on the left adjacent to KM’s whitened teeth story.
I have no doubt that KM has a very competent dental practitioner who would advise on the state of her dental hygiene and would probably support the view held by them that some whiteners damage teeth and gums.
Rman, no 2009 engagement or marriage based on this story .

I wouldn’t get my hope up for a lot of news from Prince William (and Kate) once he returns. It’s holiday time in the royal family so maybe we’ll learn where they go on holiday but I’m afraid there won’t be so many photos. It’s also time for the Olympic Games. Maybe William is going there? We could hope! Most likeky they will hide in the teapot cottage at Balmoral. I think that we must rely heavily on the papparazzi to get anything, and I’m not so sure I want that really.
May I add that I wouldn’t mind to be proven wrong and that there is a lot of official information and photos of Prince William in the near future!

Personally, Fox News is the channel I turn to daily for news. They are not into the gossip thing and rarely have Neil Sean on. They have enought viewers that the network doesn’t need to plug teeth whitening proceedures. We have an election coming up here in the U.S and most networks are focused on Obama and McCain. If her teeth look whiter in photos well then she might have had it done. I still stand firm that she has had some minor work done. I think she has had tip refinement to her nose too. No one here may believe me, but if you study photos you can see. She is a beautiful girl anyway, but if your constantly getting photos taken like she does what’s wrong with wanting to look your best. I think it is a good sign that indeed the engagement will be announced soon.

I agree Garcie, they wouldn’t just gossip on something like this. Fox news and Neil Sean are the ones that broke news that Kate is being groomed and getting a makeover. So you have to know what is good to listen to. Now there are stories being made up all the time but Fox news would not lie.

Rman, as a news channel,FOX is very reliable but I am leery of some of their sources in pieces such as this as they seem to come from already published reports and from not so reliable sources. I have seen the same thing from cnn/msnbc where they use outlets like In Touch mag for their entertainment news. I do personally believe that William and Kate are set for a 2009 wedding,I just don’t think Fox has any more news about it they we do at this point. The one thing I will say is that it sure does appear that the worlds news agency’s are gearing up for this event. It will sure be something.
