The article about William moving “back in” CH doesn’t make any sense. Did he ever move “out”? He’s been sharing an appartment with Harry ever since Charles made it his residence. I also very much doubt that “all the other Palaces are full”. No way do I believe that there wouldn’t be a single vacant appartment in Kensington or St. James. And even if - I’m sure some minor family member would have to give up his/hers to make room for the future King if he so wished. Obviously William couldn’t just buy a place somewhere but then why should he? If he really will be administrating Sandringham, he may as well move there, no? Should be enough room for two there.
And then Charles is building that residence supposedly meant for William…
Still silly season in the press.
And sorry that blond is far from being beautiful though I do not doubt that she’s a capable and trusted employee…

Does anyone know which of the British papers are considered tabloids? I know The Evening Standard & The Telegraph aren’t seen as tabs. I’m not sure about the Dail Mail. Most of what they write turns out not to be true.

Seems like William prefers brunettes over blondes. Both Chelsy and Kate are beautiful girls with model bodies. Nothing against Thea Garwood but she does not look like look like William or Harry type. Why do they start this junk at the DM? It’s just so implausible.

I don’t think the HMS Iron Duke tour is complete yet, although William time is. So either HMS is in port or William had to be flown/boat off of ship. So the story about Kate being flown aboard the ship seems fishy to me. If that kind of stuff happend all the time the navy would never get any work done with picking up family members at ports. I am thinking that it is more likely that William was flown off the ship to meet Kate. What do you think?

I was looking at party pieces web site and the photos are very good. It’s hard to make cups and plates look interesting. I think that if Kate is indeed the one taking the photos, she is very talented and has a good eye. Taking photos for a web page must be a daunting task and takes a lot of WORK. I am surprised at the fact that her parents have made a fortune by selling party supplies. Some of the items could be bought at Wal-mart,Target or grocery store. I am not saying their items look cheap. Do they not sell birthday items in similar stores in UK? Just curious. I wish we had photos!

Well, Katie Nichol has pulled the knives out. Now she is reporting that Kate gets loads of free clothes from Issa. There’s always the negative undertone. Kate has a great body and looks good in clothes so its no surprise to me that she is getting clothes sent to her. It helps Issa sell clothes when she is on cover of mags/paper wearing her designs. Diana had the same thing happen to her, except hers were Versace, Christian Dior, etc. I am surprised that Kate does not get freebies from Stella McCartney too. I think that as Kate roll becomes more prominant she will get large fashion houses calling to dress her. Lucky girl! So since Issa is made by a Brazilian designer, I wonder if Kate will choose her to do wedding gown? I think most royal brides wear British labels for wedding dresses.

Free stuff is the coolest! I’d imagine she gets a lot of things for free or doesn’t have to pay full price for stuff. I know celebrities or VIPs in America get that kind of treatment all the time.

I’ve read that Diana’s female staff got lots of skincare and make-up from her. She weekly received parcels full of products from the welknown and some not so wellknown names in the industry. Not strange at all if Kate is starting to get the same traetment. And Katie Nicholl knows this, she just can’t helpherself, she has to be nasty to KM.

The odd thing about this article is how she quotes the designer in the end denying some of the stuff she wrote.
It is not surprising one bit that Kate, a highly visible,attractive woman, would be getting clothes from designers for free so she can give them exposure. It is status quo. No big deal. Given the thought that she may be needing a wedding dress soon, I am sure she has designers lapping at her toes.
What is becoming annoying are these silly,made up articles *every weekend* that are serving to feed these negative internet trolls who expend their imaginations thinking of ways to bash Kate and her obviously rock solid relationship with William.
I find it hard to believe the amount of time they spend dissecting articles written by tabloids like the Sun,The Daily Star and others. Are they not smart enough to realize it is all made up BS?

Yes they’re smart enough. It’s much better for them to believe the BS because it is what they want to happen. There’s a lot of denial with some of these people. The sad thing is not all of them are jealous teenage girls either. Some of them are adult women.

Change of subject..I saw a picture of a Tiara on another website recently called the Cambridge”lovers knot”. It was worn by Diana at times. I am wondering where it may have landed and if it would be available for Kate when the time comes.

It’s funny the News of World is saying that Harry’s security has been stepped up, when he just got his cell phone stolen. I thought they had already stepped up his security when he came back from Afganistan? I think their money would be best spent sending Harry and Chelsy to a detox center so that when they go out they don’t get trashed and are more aware of their surroundings. Run-on sentence. I know that it sounds harsh, but I think both boys have problems with drinking to much. Plus Harry is in Africa and that is not the most stable region of the world.

Lisa, I don’t know The Lovers Knot Tiara hasn’t been seen since Diana last wore it and it has become part of her legacy. I’m sure Kate will bring it back to life. But I think if she wears it, people will think she is trying to be like Diana. Which wouldn’t be true but you know how people think. Even after the divorce, Diana was still borrowing jewelry from the Queen and everything was returned to her after Diana’s passing.

I get excited about the jewels too. I know Camilla has alot more usage of royal jewels than Diana did. You can often see her wearing Oueen Mother jewelry, that for some reason Diana was not privy to. Maybe Charles inherited it when she passed. I am dying to know what kind of engagement ring Kate will get. I don’t think it will be Diana’s though, Harry supposed to have it. Although you would think it would have gone back to the Queen when they divorced as most of her royal jewels did. I hope that Kate does not get a diamond, because I love the colored stones. A emerald ring would be so pretty with Kate eyes and skin color, but I think RF are weird about emeralds as engagement rings.

From what I have researched Diana only wore 2 different tiaras. The Lover’s Knot, and the Spencer tiara. She wore the Spencer tiara more often the Knot. She didn’t like wearing tiaras much from what I have read. That’s why she mainly wore necklaces, bracelets, earrings. But can’t believe everthing you read. She also didn’t like pins as the Queen and Camilla are often seen wearing.

Yeah Gracie, he inherited it after The Queen Mother’s passing and it would have been too big for Diana. Diana’s ring is with William or Harry but it did not go the Queen. I wonder if Charles gave his ring that Diana gave him to one of the boys? Charles didn’t stop wearing Diana’s ring until a couple of days after he announced his engagement to Camilla. It’s funny how they do that because Prince Andrew still wears his wedding ring and sometimes Sarah still wears hers. It’s something between those people that no one will ever know about.

Yeah a lot of that stuff is heavy so it would hurt Diana’s neck from time to time. I know we may see Kate wearing the George IV State Diadem which Her Majesty wears on the State Opening of Parliament but that will be in the future. But there are countless tiara’s in the collection so The Queen will give her some things.

I loved Camilla’s engagement ring and her wedding ring that she wears now is great too. I love big diamonds! Nothing really vulgar but a nice big ice cube. It would be pretty special if William gave Kate a family ring for their engagement. Camilla’s was from the Queen Mum’s collection. Or if he wanted to be different a canary yellow diamond would look very nice on Kate’s finger.

Rman, I wonder if Camilla wears only Queen Mother’s jewels and the ones Charles has bought her? I do hope that Kate will be given a family ring as Charles gave Camilla. I wonder how the Queen feels about Camilla wearing her mother’s ring? If Harry did indeed get the sapphire ring of Diana, than Willam would have to get a ring either the same size or bigger because the closest to the throne usually get access to more of the jewels. Just as Fergie never had as much jewelry as Diana did. Even if William had the sapphire ring I don’t know that he would give it to Kate, because they might look at it as an omen. I have heard the RF are superstitious. Maybe it would be given to either Harry or William children instead. Just a guess. Although the ring is beautiful it might be a reminder of all the baggage that came with it. Just a hunch though. I think it is neat that the RF in Denmark give engagement rings based on the color of the Danish flag. So Princess Mary has ruby and diamond ring and Princess Marie has ruby, diamond and sapphire because she is French. There is a pave ring white gold, dome shape that Kate wears to formal affairs- Boodles Boxing Ball. I found a close up of the ring and it looks just like the one Dodi gave Diana except in white gold. It has the same unusual star type center that Diana did. William just needs to propose already.

Thanks for the info on the tiaras! I too, am so curious about the engagement ring. A diamond would be great but I can’t imagine Kate wearing something overly large like Diana’s ring. Amythest is said to be the stone of kings….I also would not mind seeing Kate wearing some more signifigant jewelry now that she is the “official girlfriend”. She really plays it safe,IMO.

I think something not over the top like say a nice high quality string of pearls or a nice pair pf earrings would do the trick. Most of the jewelry Kate wears appears costume to me. I think being the longtime GF of a future King, she is entitled to wear some nice stuff at formal occasions.

Charles gave Camilla jewelry throughout his marriage to Diana and I have read that he likes to find antique jewels that once belonged to Alice Keppel. Of course Charles had more money at his disposal, but William just got his inheritance from Diana, so you’d think we would be seeing more jewels on Kate than we do. I noticed she was wearing a three strand pearl bracelet to the Garter and Windsor wedding. I am thinking this must be a new piece as I have never seen her wear one before.

Lisa, I was looking at some old photos of Diana at getty and she had one that looks identical to the one Kate in now wearing. I think it might have been Diana’s bracelet. Diana also wore another pearl bracelet that had atleast five strands and she usually wore a huge center stone. But in looking at the old photos, she also had a three strand pearl bracelet too and it had no ornamentation. Kate also had a different ring on as well at Windsor too. Can’t get in close enough though, but it appears to be solitare peach colored stone.

It would be very special if the bracelet is from Diana’s collection; however I think that a 3-strand pearl bracelet is a fairly common style…and, from a distance, one bracelet is bound to look similar to the next….unless there were extreme close ups, and a distinguishing feature, I don’t think we can accurately conclude that they are indeed one and the same.
Here’s to hoping that one day we will get to see Kate in Diana’s jewels!

The only way I want to see Kate in Diana’s jewels is if William marries her.
I doubt that she is wearing Diana’s jewels at the moment, I imagine that they would be a far too precious to give to a girlfriend even a serious and long term one. Besides, I do not think that it would be right for a girlfriend to wear the royal jewels, they were never just Diana’s but the family’s.

There is probably an understanding and the article about Kate not waiting says that William has promised that they will marry. All articles say that she is fed up of waiting and no article supports the idea that they are engaged.
If Kate had worn Diana’s jewellry it would be all over the newspapers. William and Kate are adults and are not naive enough to know that Kate could wear his mothers jewels without the press finding out.
I perhaps should have made my point above clearer. The RF and William could never allow a girlfriend to wear the jewels of a royal, all of Diana’s jewels now belong to either Harry and William or one of her relatives/friends. I cannot see PW or PH allowing their girlfriends to wear their mothers jewels. It is just not done and the RF would not allow it at all.

Hello people,
I have spent an enjoyable weekend watching the Red Bull Air Race and was lucky enough to get VIP tickets so watched from the Race Club near the media centre with lunch,tea and night time disco.
I picked up an Evenin Standard magazine which I have never seen before. The cover and a main story by Karl Pierard and Nicky Yates was on Isabelle Calthorpe.
When asked about meeting PW her reply is given verbatim as ” we met later, Um
….yes. No. I did,and he’s a friend.”
She was asked if she saw him regularly and replied, ” Yes- from time to time”
When asked if she had met KM her reply was”Yes I have met her once and she’s lovely”
So it appeared she meets PW from time to time but had only met KM once.
The main context of the interview was her career as an actress and her ‘boy/girl’ friendship with Sam Branson who incidentally is 6/7 years younger than Isabella.
I thought it strange that the question about PW came in the middle of the main interview and her reply implied some hesitancy.
I seem to remember a similar interview with Jessica Craig a few years ago when she was reported to be seeing Sam Branson.

Jessica Craig never did an interview as far as I know and she didn’t date Sam Branson either.
Isabella is milking her 15 mintes of fame she has thanks to her “link” to William for all it’s worth. People would already have forgotten about her if she didn’t keep those rumours alive… The right thing to say would have been “No comment”.

I have been catching up with the recent posts that I didn’t have time to read over the weekend.
Almost every one believes that the engagement and follow up is a done deal. They are in love, they are going out together but it may be that there is no arrangement yet about marriage. I do think it strange that KM went back to PW last July time without some arrangement being made but with Royal Princes one just doen’t know.
Read the stories during late 1920’s and early 1930’s about the then Prince of Wales before Mrs Wallace came on the scene when he was a lot older. There were several budding ‘queens’ around then and some with four and five year histories.
As they say, ‘it isn’t over ’till it’s over ‘ and believe me Royal Princes have been the most unpredictable suitors over the years.
I would love to see them together for ever but I am now realistic enought to know that IT may not happen but I hope it does.

Trixie, try to get a copy of the article and read it in context. Her ” Um…yes. No..I did ” etc was very hesitant after she had initially answered it as ” …um …a bit weird”.
PW’s friends usually answer ‘no comment’ I agree.

It may just be the way she talks normally and the reporter decided to include the hesitencies (sorry about the spelling) to sensationalise it and to make people wonder…well…what you are wondering. The reporter may have left out where she had hesitated in the rest of the article to make it more fluent. Did you have a good time at the Air Race?
You are right that there may be no arrangement at all. I am sure that they love each other but there are plenty of couples that have got back together with out any need for an arrangement. They argue, they miss each other, they kiss and make up..simple as that.

B, to be quite honest we don’t know what the royals do and don’t give as jewelry. Charles gave Camilla jewelry throughout their affair and do we know were Charles bought the gifts from, no we don’t because we are not privy to that. I am not an idiot and I know that the Queen would not give away royal jewels to girlfriends. But the jewelry that William and Harry have is their own, and it would be their decision as to who they would give it to. William and Kate have been dating for five years and I am sure he has given her some type of jewelry, if it is Diana or not would be up for him to decide. I said Kate bracelet looks like one Diana wore. I don’t know if it is, but take a look for yourself! Go to Getty and then look at the one Kate is wearing. It is not up for us to decide if Kate is special enough to recieve any of Diana jewels, that is William decision. We have no clue as to what stage they are in their relationship, only they know. Unless you hang out with them than that different. Just because other royals have short engagement does not mean that it applies to William or Kate. No one thought Charles mistress would be queen one day either. The RF makes their own rules to suit their needs. For all I know Kate pearl bracelet was bought at Wal-Mart.

ked, I agree with you on the fact that royal princes are unpredictable so anything can happen. But, Kate has been to many high profile and public events lately and usually that does not happen unless the relationship has progressed to a certain level. I don’t think the Queen would allow it either.
