British Bookies William Hill offer odds of 6/1 that Kate Middleton returns from the Caribbean with a diamond ring on her finger.

William Hill are now odds on at 1/2 that Prince William and Kate Middleton get engaged in 2008 and offer 6/4 that they do not.

“We have felt for some time that it is a question of when, not if, the royal couple get engaged and the odds suggest that we are not far off an announcement.” said William Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

you know what guys, my theory is that they will never get engaged. If william really wanted to propose and if he was desperately in love with Kate, then he would’ve proposed long time ago and he wouldn’t be waiting too long. Some people mention that he hasn’t proposed because he is being pressed not to get married to fulfill his royal duties, but william is not like his father to let other people manipulate him. William makes his own decisions and he will marry when he gets ready, and not when other people tell him. The reason why he’s not ready is simply because he doesn’t feel sure about wanting to marry kate.
I bet you that they will never get engaged. Trust me, you’ll see how my theory becomes true.

    Hi, Sonia,

I agree with you completely…if William loved her that much, there would have been a wedding already.

  • nikki #6 - August 11, 2008 at 7:12 am

So then I guess we can apply the same standards to Harry and Chelsy? Harry must not love Chelsy because they’ve been together for a few years with no wedding. Not just Harry but so were the Duke of Gloucester’s daughter Lady Rose Gilman & her husband George. They dated for several years without getting married. Same goes for the Duchess of Cornwall’s daughter, Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes. She and Harry had 9 years under their belt before tying the knot. And let’s not forget Prince Edward and Sophie. Edward didn’t propose to her until 5 years after they met. But I guess if these couples were really in love they would have gotten married long before they did. Right?

Or how about his own father who had one wife and then got another, or how Diana was seeing someone else on the side? Forget that part?

They make their own decisions about their love lives, not us.

  • B #8 - August 11, 2008 at 10:18 am

WHEN and IF they are ready they will marry. However, I hope that they only ever marry because they love each other and not because they feel pressured into doing so. It is better to wait and be sure than to rush in too quickly and for it to break down several years later when children are involved.

Exactually Nikki, I don’t people get how the royals work, which is a big problem. William & Kate doing this their way and it’s not moving fast enough for people. That boy loves that woman to death, so lets just get that straight. He not only spend time with her but he’s including her into his royal life. She is a very important person to him and the royal family knows that for a fact. She has done nothing to make them think that she’s not. It’s truly time for people to start treating her with respect and not put down William’s longtime companion. William will start doing royal duties when his completely finish his training and Kate will continue to support him. He really did this the smart way by doing his naval training before settling down and it’s clearly working. He’s got the best advice from his grandfather, father and uncle who have all been through this before. Anyone who knows William will tell you that he is a very caring person and he knows what love is and Kate is clearly the love of his life. Nnow you watch my words when I tell you that these will make a great husband and wife and they will do a great job with the Monarchy.

  • sonia #10 - August 11, 2008 at 1:45 pm

    Rman
How are can you be so sure that williams loves KM to death and that he is a very loving and caring person? Are you close to the couple or to PW? Just because you see them together, that doesn’t mean that he loves her to death. Well, he could love her to death, but we can’t tell whether he does or doesn’t just by looking at pictures of them being together. I have met so many couples who are not in love any longer but still are together because they are to used to be with each other and it is hard for them to break up. Either case could be true for KM and PW, they probably still love each other or they are just used to be together, they are the only ones who truly know, we don’t. Anyways, as you mentioned, they are going to do things the way they like.

  • Rman #11 - August 11, 2008 at 2:15 pm

Sonia you are missing my point. No I don’t know the couple but you can clearly see whats going on. William wouldn’t spend his time with her if he didn’t love her. What’s happening is people are getting impatient with this royal couple and is tierd of the big wait so it’s easy to just think “he’s not in love with her because if he was he would have been engaged already.” The point is be patient and let them do this their way. They knows what’s best and William knows what he’s doing. As we can see that things are going on great and they just enjoyed a wonderful holiday. That’s all. I know people are saying, “Oh get married already” but timeing is key and like Ked said before and like I have said before, “Lets just be patient.”

As a member of royalty for many many centuries i would be saddened to see an addition to British royalty such as Kate Middleton in any capacity. As it is very apparent the girl has no intention of ever contributing to society in a fashion that Williams mother did with her heart and soul before she was taken from us so tragically and suddenly.

  • Rman #14 - August 13, 2008 at 10:28 pm

(laughing) Me that was funny what you said. I just imagined you saying that “snob”.

  • ked #15 - August 14, 2008 at 2:26 am

    Hello People,

It is possible that an investigation could be instigated on MR W.Alan Young’s claim to be Royalty as I believe that to assume an HRH title ,to deceive, in jest or otherwise is treason.

In the UK the only crime for which the Death sentence is still on the statute book is for being convicted of TREASON .

As Mr Young’s comments above could be seen as a confesion it will be interesting to read his next post.

    We await with interest.

Who are you HRH Alan ?
If you ‘re realy HRH then you must remember the kind of relationship between PD and the RF. Now please tell me do you think that theRF wants another Diana?

  • Me #17 - August 14, 2008 at 6:01 am

    A fake

  • sonia #18 - August 14, 2008 at 12:59 pm

Ked, it looks like you are still living in the 15th or 16th century when kings and queens would put people to death for treason, like the tudors who put a lot of people to death for treason. We are now in the 21st century and right now, the royals have no influence or say on the country’s laws, and you know that. They are just here to represent the nation but when it comes to legislation and passing laws, they have nothing to do with that. People in this forum are free to name themselves as they want and the stupid royals can’t do anything about it.

  • Elaine #19 - August 16, 2008 at 1:43 pm

I can’t believe she’d still be with him if there wasn’t some sort of understanding about marriage. He said early on he wasn’t getting married before he was 28 or 30.
I would feel better about her if she did have a job, I think she is setting a poor example by all the partying, holidays and waiting around.

  • Me #20 - August 16, 2008 at 4:35 pm

How do you know about the poor example of all the partying: whilst we have seen her at the usual spring, summer events with PW, there usual holidays, but the waiting around sounds too repetitive of a Kate hater, cause I don’t know what she is doing, but that doesn’t mean that my conclusion would be “waiting around”.

Why wouldn’t you believe that a couple are together like any other couple because they understand each other and want to be with each other. What type of conclusion is that, when a bf even though says he wants to marry at 28-30, lets split. That would be the thought of a inmature person, but that is understandable of thought at age 20, not 26. Many have lost their love one, because of this thought and end up marrying the next one who decides quick to do so. But the aftermath is never known. Each has their own experience.

  • amy #21 - August 22, 2008 at 9:03 pm

ms kate might have understand long ago that she will never be his wife, only, she is playing fool in case william’s mind will change.nothign is lost anyway, all of herself has been lost already before they met PW, she is just playing the game of LUCK, while PW has no choice but to play the game .Kate’s chance of becoming a queen is diminishing everytime she is with William becuase she losses track fo herself evrytime she is with him, try observing her personality it is FADING….because she is already out of CONTROL, she is so DEPRESSED & INSECURE!!!Can’t Ms. Carol advise her DAUGHTER? just for the sake of reviving herself & leaving her (kate’s) miserable life with PW.

  • amy #22 - August 22, 2008 at 9:07 pm

Well, that idea was kind of gay.

  • gracie #26 - August 28, 2008 at 8:14 am

Ked, sorry she does not play on daytime soap anymore, she has worked on various movies, small parts, low budget. I guess she an “up and coming” actress. From Baltimore, Md. Studied in New York at the American Ballet Company, then signed with Ford Models Agency and worked her way into film. Looks like a brunette Chelsy. I hope this is who you are refering to.
