A big slice of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding cake is set to sell for more than £2,000 at auction.

The 27-year-old cake – decorated with the royal coat of arms – was given to Moyra Smith, a cleaner at Clarence House, by a royal chef in 1981.

A thank you letter from Charles and Di to staff for a clock and a bottle of beer made to mark Prince William’s birth in 1982 are also for sale.

The three will go under the hammer at Dominic Winter Book Auctions in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, on August 27. (via The Mirror)

The model cake of Diana and Charles looks artistic and nice to look at.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s crazy to keep a piece of cake for 27 years and even more crazy to buy it for 2000 £? The world has gone mad …

I’m someone who would bid on Diana’s loo paper (provided they could prove it was authentic) but a slice of stale old cake? Where would I display it, in a gold-plated dome in my freezer? What if Big Al got hungry in the middle of the night and didn’t realise what he was eating?

Sorry, but I just can’t take a chance on this.

alsgal, did you see the FOXNEWS article about Kate and Wills? It likely untrue but it is still somewhat entertaining..that Neil Sean either has some great sources or a very vivid imagination..I suspect the latter, lol

William & Kate is more of a old fashion couple and after we saw a picture of their trip last year, where William and Kate was reading away in the sun, I can totally believe that they was taking some quiet time to themselves. You can see the picture on W&HU.

I have two wishes – one is for Kate and Wills to be happy in their lives be it together forever or not, and my second wish – for FJAE to leave this site. ** EDIT – Please don’t get personal **
