I lent Harry £10 to buy round – The Sun
Prince Harry asked to borrow a TENNER from a bar owner so he could buy his round. Shocked Brian Sables revealed the royal, 23, argued with pals over whose turn it was to get the beers. Brian said: “When they all told Harry it was his, he asked me to lend him a tenner. I couldn’t believe it – it was so funny. He’s like any other normal lad.”…

Madame Tussauds prepare waxwork Kate Middleton – Fox News
Proof further that Middleton is all set for royal status — Madame Tussauds is secretly making a Kate waxwork in time for the royal wedding next year. A source tells me that Kate “knows about this as we have had to ask friends for advice, etc., but as she has not personally sat for us it’s all from pictures, so it’s harder than normal.” You read it here first. …

Rhys Ifans: Prince William is a bender – Metro
Boozy ladies’ man Rhys Ifans has sparked a royal row after appearing to call Prince William ‘a bender’. The Welsh star, who is bouncing between a string of blondes following his split from Sienna Miller, made his verbal attack while being filmed chatting to paparazzi on the street. After bizarrely being questioned where the Prince was, Ifans, 40, ranted: ‘Where’s Prince William? He’s a bender man…’

Royal Navy fly-past scrapped because of Prince William stag party – Daily Mail
But a decision halting the proposal was made by the navy’s Fleet Headquarters to prevent any adverse publicity caused by potential criticism of the event as being a waste of public money. The Prince was heavily criticised for using Chinook helicopters to land outside the home of his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, and to fly with Prince Harry to the Isle of Wight for the stag party of their cousin Peter Phillips…

OH NO! i guess Catherine and her family surprised, okay, they happy for that statue but i’m not! this mean Wills and Catherine really wants married next year?? but why in yesterday news at newspaper say kate won’t wait Wills forever?? i’m confused! or maybe now Wills change his mind to propose her next year Amien. and i become bridesmaid for both of them he..he..Wills you wants to choose me? i have experiance for that ha..ha..

  • alsgal #6 - August 15, 2008 at 8:28 am

mariskaagusta, I heard rumours about that last year as well.

If Madame Tussauds is making a statue of Kate, that means that she had to have posed for it, which means she had to have gotten the approval from the Higher Ups to pose (from both Chuck N’ Cam Palace AND Buckingham Palace) which mean the Higher Ups must know they are engaged to be married and have given their consent!

Forgive me if I am jumping the gun, but there is no way in heck Kate could pose for something as official as a wax statue without having the tacit approval of HM — and I doubt HM would give approval for a mere girlfriend of PW to have a statue of her own.

It also wouldn’t make much sense for Tussauds to invest the time and money in such an undertaking if Kate wasn’t about to become the next Princess of the Realm.

They know something, we know something, and I think the British people know something.

    Hello all,

A few months ago, just after their wedding an article mentioed that Peter and Autumn would be going to Hong Kong to continue their careers away from too much publicity.

This was initially denied and a further report mentioned that Peter would join his father’s firm and help run the business and it seemed that he ran the recent event at gaticombe.

    However, perhaps they have made the correct move to help them through the first few years of married life but I would love to know;

    (i) The reason for his estrangement from PW
after they have been so close in the past
    and

(ii) Is there any evidence that they have met
up since PW unexplained absence from
their wedding, (Kenya being a rubbish
explanation as PW clearly did not leave the
UK) and possibly ‘made up’. It will be
interesting to watch over the next few
months /years as it is sad that a friendship
    has deteriorated over a possible
    misunderstanding obviously connected to
    the Stag Party in Dorset/IOW.

That part of the country seems to cause lots of problems which I hope have now been curtailed.

it seems riduculus that a status of a simple girlfriend will be made. KM is just a girlfriend and nothing else. Don’t believe this article.

  • Rman #9 - August 16, 2008 at 2:42 am

Sonia, a couple of years ago Kate was just a girlfriend of the young Prince William. It was sweet to many that William had met a nice young girl at college. They was seen vacationing together and it just looked sweet but they have come a long way since that time and Kate is no longer just a girlfriend but a longtime companion of the heir to the throne. William and the royal family has made this clear in their own way. This woman has dined at Balmoral, and have attended several royal occasions like the Order of The Garter, royal weddings and royal birthday celebrations. A little girlfriend will not be able to do these things without being formaly approved be The Queen and The Prince of Wales. So although I don’t believe that Madame Tussauds is working on a wax of Kate at this time, it’s been made very clear without a doubt that (Catherine) is not just a girlfriend. Madame Tussauds will however start on a wax maybe after their wedding. They usually like to copy the wedding dress. That will come whenever.

    Rman,

At the time of the so called Break up in March/April 2007 it was reported that work on the Wax model of KM was discontinued by Madame Tussauds ,so obviously they had started the Model, which eventually will stand alongside PW (we hope) in the Royal Gallery at Tussauds

    Hello ,

Addendum to sonia. and earlier reports.

    Check your facts

  • gracie #12 - August 16, 2008 at 9:12 am

I am shocked about Peter and Autumn moving to Hong Kong. Maybe selling their wedding pics has caused more issues with RF than the press lead on to. I would imagine and this is just a guess that those who run in RF circles have turned their noses up to Peter and Autumn for the photo spread. Very interesting though.

  • Me #13 - August 16, 2008 at 9:22 am

No conspiracy theory IMO, Peter was ascended in the bank where he works for and it bank has a huge branch office in HK, and conveniently his wife speaks Chinese, where she may further her PPRR career. The hello magazine says they will be working (the usual term when a business man/women is moved from one country to another in the firm is expatriated) for a period of 5 years. The expats usually receive huge bonuses and benefits, i.e. vacation home leave once or twice a year (tickets fully paid by the Co.). I know, I’m a daughter to an expat, the bonuses and benefits extend to the children of the worker-expat, i.e. the Co. pays the education (obviously you’d choose the best and most expensive one in the country they place the person)…its part of convincing the worker to move, usually they consider that person an asset, to spread the “know how”.

  • Me #14 - August 16, 2008 at 9:25 am

and I can tell that expats children live a spoilt life, bonuses include membership to highly placed country clubs (in the country they expat the person), schooling, home leave tickets in 1st class to the entire direct family members and more.

So I would think that P&A are doing there thing wisely, conveniently what is offered to them, whatever it is, but its good.

  • gracie #15 - August 16, 2008 at 10:00 am

Me, sounds nice. Who could turn that down?

  • gracie #16 - August 16, 2008 at 10:12 am

So Hello! says they are moving to Hong Kong and Mandrake says Peter joins the family business at Gatcombe. Maybe they have had a change in plans.

  • Me #17 - August 16, 2008 at 10:21 am

Perhaps, if the news of HK was true in the first place, whatever it is they where offered, taking the decision of moving out to another country, culture, is hard one, that is why usually loads of money including those bonuses and benefits are offered.

Gatcombe sounds good too, more homey settled.

Hay anyone made follow ups with Mandrakes articles (all articles). I have followed up R. English, Richard Kay, Katie Nicholls (all DM correspondents) plus The Sun guy, to catch their flaws (controversial writting). It would be interesting though, since I have noticed in one particular forum, the members follow 100 percent the DM articles, but do not consider the other articles from other tabs (the way of reporting), i.e. specially this latest club outing. All the other journalist wrote an “average” article, and the DM wrote a hardcore nasty one in its 3 changed versions. One then may tell towards which tendency that particular forum exchange their comments and opinions.

  • Carla #18 - August 16, 2008 at 2:26 pm

    Sonia,
You might think that Kate is only a simple girlfriend. It is perhaps your opinion, and that’s fine. But, if Mme Tussaud is to make a statue of Kate Middleton (if the story is true of course), then she might not just be a simple girlfriend. I visited the Wax Museum in London some 8 years ago, and believe me, the folks that have their statue in there are VVVVIPs. Hence, Kate might not only be a simple girlfriend in the inner circles.

  • nikki #19 - August 16, 2008 at 4:21 pm

The Daily Mail has become the worst of the lot over the last several months. Not only are they always inaccurate but now they are down right nasty towards Ms Middleton and William. I can guarantee that 75-80% of the negative stuff written about that couple has come from the DM. All the other tabs like The Sun, Mirror, and NOTW have more of a balance. It’s become pretty obvious the Mail has decided to cater to the anti Kate element online. That’s why all the Kate haters treat their articles as the gospel truth & ignore the other papers. Especially if when one of the broadsheets speculate on an engagement announcement. By simply ignoring the good they can live off in their own delusional little world. But guys let’s stop wasting so much energy on the haters. They aren’t going to change because they don’t want to.
