Remembering Princess Diana

Tributes will be paid to Diana, Princess of Wales, on the 11th anniversary of her death.

Fans of the Princess are expected to make their annual pilgrimage to her former home, Kensington Palace, to leave flowers and tie pictures and messages to the iron gates.

Princes William and Harry will remember their mother in private. This is in contrast to last year when the royal brothers marked the 10th anniversary with a memorial service.

A Clarence House spokeswoman said: “The princes will be remembering the princess privately and in their own way.” (via The Press Association)

I can’t believe that this happened to William & Kate. How did they get their hands on the pictures? They just need to be more careful and I think there should be some security provided for Kate because the press and members of the public is now losing their minds. I’m sure William & Kate and The Middleton family is upset about that.

Sounds like Pippa has some explaining to do.

Diana was an amazing woman and will always be. Perhaps even the most amaing in the world. It’s shame that she went through all the things that she did. I cry every time I see that car she was in on the night of her passing, all messed up. She has raised two lovely boys. May she rest in peace forever.

Rman, I can’t believe those men just found the memory chip in a gutter, as they are not that big. The whole thing seems very odd.

Gracie, the men who tried to sell it claimed they found the memory chip in the gutter — Pippa reported her entire camera as being stolen, which presumably had the memory chip inside.

Me thinks the two men are lying.

I thought I read somewhere that a burglary in a vehicle was reported. So I thought the guys had stolen the whole camera from Pippa’s car but only brought the chip to the meeting with the Sun. Obviously they wouldn’t admit it and just said they had found the chip which is crazy enough since noone who had stolen this camera would have been as stupid as to throw the most valuable part of it away.
I have to admit that a small albeit extremely nosy part of me would have loved to see those private pics but I am glad that they were not published. I’m not sure how much credit the Sun deserves – I assume they would have been in for prosecution themselves.

These men George and John are as clueless as Pippa was leaving the photos on her camera after two weeks.

Well the young generation of the royal family have it very hard. Their private lives seem to be a soap opera. Like I said before, by William & Kate being out of the limelight and keeping things on a hush, hush level is driving the media mad and they can’t deal with it. I’m glad that the pictures was not published. What they did on that trip is their business. We all know that in public, they at act more mature but in private they let their hair down and that should be private.

I hope that the stolen camera/chip does not lead to a friend-of-a-friend trying to make press or a quick buck. Similar to the aide scandal with Princess Margaret’s son. More importantly, I hope the the Queen does not start to find all this press about Kate and her family is not good for RF and wants William to end it.

No I don’t think the Queen would think that or William wants to end it but the media is tierd of not getting something out of them and tierd of waiting from them to make things more official. I hope things won’t get out of hand when Kate shows up for the charity event. I think it’s time for her to continue supporting charities and organizations. The media need to leave her family alone.

Rman, I agree with you that they should leave her family alone, but IMO it will continue until engagement is announced or some type of legal action happens. It would be very hard as a parent or family member to sit back and let this continue to happen.

Gracie, I understand you but I have a strong feeling that Clarence House is sorting this all out so the announcement can come out soon but the media don’t know anything at this point and they need to sell papers. They are becoming very low and they are hurting a family that they don’t know. But I’m sure everything is calm in the royal household.

Well it was a bad week for the Middletons thats for sure but from what I can tell,William sees them as his family so I am sure he was supportive. I am hoping for that announcement this year, like maybe in oct.

Rman, how long of an engagement do you forsee them having? 7 or 8 months or shorter? I know security concerns will weigh in on the timeframe.

I don’t know I think it will be short but it will take some planning and the engagement has to go through the Queen, her council and government before it reaches the media and public.
