His feet are on the ground, the changes (shift) are where you put your feet (left foot) when riding properly, so there is no way he can make it move, just engine run. 1st, neutral, 2nd, 3rd and so on.

Yeah I had read that but they are just speculating because of the Air Force announcement. Merrick, everybody wants to know what’s going on. I have read other royal sites and they are even puzzled. This is just a wait and see thing now. But something is telling me that there’s more good things to come.

This speculation was all over the British papers in September right after William’s RAF stint was revealed. It’s not new and apparently nothing has come out of it.

Belga Picture has some pictures of a blond biker up (no William in sight) with the following caption:

Yeah, like I said before the tabs will always do that. Which I think it’s sad, it’s like he can’t talk and be friendly to any young girl because they tabs will always try to write that the conversation was flirty. The late Princess had that problem. They was always trying to hook her up wth someone so Diana never had dinner parties at Kensington Palace, she would only have luncheons so the press couldn’t say that a guy had gotten close to her and he had stayed a night. It’s just sad to me. But yet again they don’t have much to write about so this don’t surprise me.

Yes the article about Chelsy having a wobble I think is nonsense. What on earth would Chelsy do if she quit now she is so close. They would rake her through the coals for quitting because then she would become the girl waiting around for her prince.
Did you guys all see the article on Zara Phillips breaking her collarbone. The pictures looked really awful. She could have broken her neck. It awful because she has had quite a few falls this year and the falls seem to get more and more serious.

I did go back on my computer and found the Oct. 6th sites about possible split. I am confused. No one is reporting anything but old stuff about Kate. wow, Katie Nicholl is even laying off of Kate now? I am starting to think someone offered up one big carrot in exchange for laying off of Kate. My though is that if an announcement regarding William and Kate is close it won’t be before Charles birthday. Possibly right after. Don’t worry everyone, they will manage their relationship as they see best.
If they break up it is for a reason, and if they stay together it is for a reason.
I have said this so many times now, but the reason that Katie Nicholls or any of the other journalists are not writing an article about Kate is that there is nothing to write about. We all know where she is and what she is doing. She’s out of the way of the cameras anyway so there are no photos and William has just come back from Africa (he came back last night right?), so there is nothing for them to speculate about.
I don’t think that it is a huge sign if they are together for Charles’ birthday party either. They were together last years for Camilla’s and it would be stranger if Kate or Chelsy were NOT there. That would say more than if they were there.
I agree with jj about Chelsy wanting to quit. She might be homesick but that is understandable as she spent 3 months with her family and friends and is now in Leeds again. After a few weeks of being alone (she has some friends there but it’s not the same), I can understand why she feels homesick.

I agree about Chelsy also. Didn’t the papers write the same thing last year? That Chelsy would quit and return to South Africa? I see another pattern there. She may very well miss her family and friends – who wouldn’t – but she’s come so far and I don’t think she would quit now if only to avoid the public humiliation that would undoubtedly follow. It seems like the tabs desperately want her to fail. It’s so sad instead of commending her for her effort, they try to find fault with it.

Lots and lots of conflicting stories but the paps seem to be ‘off the scent as far as KM is involved.
I know pretty (?) mentioned an announcement due a few days ago and I had heard that some editors were waiting for news. Nothing came but perhaps the ‘announcement’ was not an official “D” notice but just a ‘polite ‘ reminder to the editors to respect the earlier agreement not to print photographs of private events.

Thanks for the explanation,Trixie. I hear what B is saying regarding no news to write now but it has never stopped the tabs from making stuff up in the past. The fact that there is nothing from anybody is starting to look very suspicious. If this continues upto Charles birthday, I believe we will have something right after that party. Maybe this time Kate has been taken under the wing of the Palace and is being “prepared”. It is possible the Telegraphs report of Kate choosing a bodyguard was the last credible news item we had and it was factual.

Lisa: I can’t think of anything that they could possibly make up though. I think that they have exhausted all the options. She is meant to be in Berkshire working, so I don’t understand how she can be getting prepared as well.
The bodyguard article was not credible because we have heard the same article several times every few months when they are seen together. No other paper picked it up either. There has been no proof to suggest that she has a bodyguard at all.
There have been the odd bit of news. There was an article in the Express saying that neither Kate or Chelsy are going to the Bond premiere – no surprise there.
Nothing has been written about Chelsy for ages either (except todays article in the DM about her wanting to quit). That was the first piece of news in ages about her.

So I need to ask a question. Why can’t the girlfriend attend an official Royal event? I understand the overshadowing angle but if you want to spin it it would actually bring more awareness to the event than if the princes attended along. But just wondered if this was a protocol thing or what the reason actually is?
I actually agree with B that there really isn’t anything to write about Kate at the moment she is tucked away in Berkshire. I do hope she doesn’t get bored or frustrated with her limited movements. It’s sad that it has to be that way her life is curtailed so much in order to help make this relationship work so I hope it works out.

They can take them as their dates. Charles did the same thing with Camilla before their marriage. He took Camilla to the opera and to royal premieres. So I think it’s up to the Princes to do so. Sometimes royal protocal steps in but I don’t think much in this case. I would take a date with me.

I hope she does not get bored as well, but I have lived in the country side for most of my life and there are always things to do. If she is working with her parents as much as some sources are suggesting she shouldn’t have too much spare time to get bored.
Besides, she’s an adult now and she made all her choices; to date William, to not get a job straight after uni, to work at her parents, to attend many public events which got her more noticed etc. Unfortunately there are consequences to everything a person does. Anyway, if she cannot cope with how much her life is restricted now, she would never cope with being a royal as they lead very restricted lives in terms of personal freedom away from everything. It’s the same thing I say when people say she cannot cope with the press, because if she thinks it’s bad now, she will have no idea if she becomes a royal.
Me: when you made the comment that nobody thought that she would attend the OotG (Order of the Garter). Did you mean that in reference to the premiere or Charles’ birthday party? Sorry I’ve got a bit confused there.
I don’t actually think it would be appropriate for a girlfriend to attend a royal engagement. Awards and ceremonies is fine- they would be there in a private capacity as guests so it does not count as royal engagements. However,a royal engagement is for the royals or their fiancees. A girlfriend has no role within royal life (apart from giving some emotional support to her partner like any girlfriend does.) It’s just about protocol really and I’m sorry if this sounds a bit snobbish but it’s like the saying : there are things you do do and things you don’t do.
The Bond premiere will be a royal engagement and I do not believe that Kate would be invited, so there was no surprise from me by the Express column.

I don’t think Kate minds living in Berkshire very much. She grew up there, went to school nearby, studied in St. Andrews (hardly a huge city either). She actually only lived in London for about 1 1/2 years. City life for her seems more like the exception not the rule.
I agree about the Bond premiere, B. Neither g/f ever attended an official royal engagement of the Princes. While the Bond Premiere may not seem like a very serious engagement, it’s still on the royal calendar and hence official. I cannot imagine the Princes walking the red carpet with their g/f’s even less so since William and Kate apparently went to great length to ensure her privacy as of late. Maybe we’ll see them out and about on the weekend together but I would be extremely surprised to see her at the Bond premiere.

I’d personally go crazy. I guess with the Bond Premiere I agree with everyone that they wont take them but my understanding it that it is up to the princes, given that Charles has done it before and so has the Prince of Monaco. He brings Charlene everywhere. I guess the difference is age Charles and Albert are older (not that Albert is any role model) & able to cope with whatever is thrown at them. As well as France having very strict laws about what can and can not be reported in the papers.

About the Order of the Garter, yes its a ceremony, but its a once in a life time, much more important than a official royal event for charity with a film, and yes nobody, it took the press and the public by surprise, that Kate was there and with the Royals and inside the chapel and included in the lunch, events for that ocassion. Me, yes anything could happen. But you just said it, the OotG was a once in a lifetime thing. This is just a premiere to a film. Kate was there not in a public role but in the same role as she was to William’s passing out parade in 2006; she was there to support William as a private guest. We have no photos so say she did sit with the royals, although it would surprise me if she did not, after all, where else was she suppose to sit? It would have been inappropriate for her to sit anywhere else.
