Kate devasted as RAF orders Prince William to shave
Britain’s Prince William has reportedly been ordered to shave off his new shaggy beard by RAF bosses who think the facial hair is unsuitable for his upcoming role as a search and rescue helicopter pilot.
The 26-year-old royal – who debuted his new look on a pheasant shoot with girlfriend Kate Middleton and 24-year-old brother Prince Harry at the family’s Norfolk estate Sandringham on Saturday – is said to be under orders from senior members of the Royal Air Force to change his look before he starts training next month.
However, while the RAF are not taken with William’s new look, it seems Kate has grown fond of her beau’s beard.
An onlooker said: “It was a real shock to see William with a beard. It looked as if he had not shaved for a couple of weeks at least. Whether Kate approves is another matter entirely. But she was laughing and joking during the shoot so maybe she does like it.”
It has also been claimed that William originally grew the beard as a disguise when he worked undercover with the Special Boat Service in Barbados earlier this year in a bid to combat drug trafficking and piracy in the area.
A source said: “William has been back about a week and knew it was only a matter of time before someone spotted him. Everyone has been saying it makes him look like some of the old British kings. No one is sure if he’s going to keep it. But it’s here for now.” (via Monsters & Critics)

Interesting links especially PP and he really is a character.
He and HM recently visited an educational establishment with which I have a fond attachment.
Venison was served for lunch and afterwards on a walk through the enclosed park land PP observed the large herd of deer freely roaming around.
Turning to the Burser he asked if that is where lunch had come from and was informed that their meal had in fact come from an outside source and their animals were not for the table.
He replied ” don’t tell my son that, he demands that all purchases be made local” an obvious skit at PC’s organic food requirements and his organic gardening techniques at Highgrove.
In a similar vein PA recently remarked that as children Monopoly was not a game played in the royal household as it was ” too heated and a little too close to the mark” which was probably a reference to the PofW inheriting most of the Royal Establishments to his,his sister and brother’s detriment.
Well at least we’ve got away from the usual discussion on “when” and “how long.”

Ked, yeah Prince Philip was treated badly when he came into the royal family that’s why he really connected with The late Princess of Wales. He knew how she felt during her marriage. I think this is why he is more welcoming to the newcomer’s.

This is just my opinion – there will be no engagement between William and Kate until at least 2009. There will be no marriage until at least 2010. Anyone care to take bets? William is obviously not ready to marry and Kate, who may also not be ready, is committed to staying with William – for the time being. In the end – it’s not up to us, the media or even the BRF – it’s up to WILLIAM and KATE!

But I have to say she looks HOT. My only complaint..loose the UGGS in favor of a nice pr of pumps.

I don’t think it was a wise move for Kate to be seen out and about partying again even less when Chelsy is seen looking like a professional business woman on her way to her internship every day. The only pics people ever see of Kate are those out and about either hunting, partying or shopping. That’s not good. While I understand that she’d rather be left alone at home, it wouldn’t hurt for her to be seen working in some capacity for PP every once in a while. At least the Daily Mail admits that it is a rare occasion now for her to go out. However I fear that article will get more and more snarky with each edit. It is rather polite for now but some of the pictures look unfortunate like the one of her bra showing. There’s another shot up her rather short dress, too…

I agree. I don’t begudge them their fun but the tabloids will. The problem is that these are about the only times we see Kate now. I KNOW that she is working the rest of the time but people don’t SEE that and that causes damage to her image. Whenever she is pictured, she’s out and about looking like a party girl. I know that this was the only time for her out and about for several months but how many people who superficially scan the papers will know that? All they’ll remember is that the last pics of her were those hunting and before that those at the roller disco. I know it may sound harsh but she needs to stage some “business shots” of herself like Chelsy. Surely there are some meetings she could attend on behalf of Party Pieces that would make her appear like the working woman she is. It’s not so much that she parties too much (hardly), it’s more that she’s not seen doing anything else.

I just knew, down in my deepest tenderloins, that just when we’d all but given up hope, December would bring us at least one dead partridge in a pear tree sighting at Sandringham and at least one sighting of William and Kate coming of Boujis. Anyhoo, this is a relief to all and even though Alsgal’s W&C lawnchair was burned to a charred crisp on my tarmac of a driveway (that’s right kids, we’re new money) a few weeks back, Big Al assures me that Home Depot is still in busniess, and we can still get it custom painted.

I’m sure that KM is NOT a nuclear or any other kind of terrorist but suddenly I get the impression that she has joined PW in this little charade and that to me, to put it bluntly, smells.
The smiles from both seem just a little supercilious and unusually for KM she is not making any attempt at eye contact.
Think back at the remarks made about how she would look at PW as she was smiling and he would sit there with that inscutable face looking anywhere but at her.
He still isn’t looking at KM but has a more than mischievous smile on his face as if he is amused at some sort of private joke, whilst KM averts her eyes and almost has a disdainful look on her face but no smile or glint in her eyes.
Photographs are deceiving especially after a heavy night but I can’t recall seeing such facial expressions from KM .
There is something unnaturally opaque in both which is a little unnerving and I wonder what gracie thinks when studying KM’s posture.

Prior to that on 15 November Kate was at Highgrove, and 4 November Kate was supposedly at Birkhall/Royal Deeside with Wills.
So whatever we choose to label their relationship, it’s obvious that Wills definitely seems to prefer Kate’s company. Once again he’s spending time with her during the Christmas holiday season like he’s been doing every year since December 2003. That seems pretty straightforward to me.
I’m glad they went out and we got to see photos of it. At least they’re celebrating the season and having fun together with family and friends.
That’s the way it’s supposed to be this time of year.

Ked, I had similiar thoughts on KM expressions. Some people say she is to “smiley” that it’s fake, but she has alot of expression in her eyes that is apparent when she is happy. I didn’t see that w/current pics. Of course it could be cause she’s tired, afterall it was late. There are a couple of pictures of her smiling, but for the most part there was no expression. She was walking a great deal ahead of Pippa where usually they interlock arms. Maybe there is some tension between them? She kind of reminded me too of Katie Holmes since she married Tommy boy, “the light is on but nobody is home.” I think that can happen to a person when they have endured great pain, all feelings have numbed and what’s left is the shell of a person. I am sure most will not agree w/me and think it’s silly, but it’s only my opinion when I look at the photos.

When the paps are taking their pictures, you end up having the most interesting expressions. I think she was caught in thought because I too saw those pictures. Gracie, I have to agree and say that I had the same feeling. Although it was great to see them together, I didn’t get the feeling looking at her eyes that Kate is as happy as she was before (perhaps she worries about PW’s new dangerous career?) and I sense a loss of carefreeness, if that’s a real word. Perhaps she has other worries about the economy or for Party Pieces? Let’s hope her family didn’t invest with Ponzi swindler Bernie Madoff, as in, Madoff with all your money.
I also thought Pippa and Kate looked a bit more tense in the taxi togther, although that could be simply because Kate has given up trying to please the press after their harsh and uncalled for treatment and doesn’t give a rat’s anymore.
Of course I cannot speculate as to what is going on between them but it would seem plausible that:
1) whether it was SAR or the economy, Kate must be a bit disappointed, especially as prior to the SAR announcement, that designer told Mandrake she’d been asked to submit wedding dress plans — so between that and GMatthews getting sacked so soon after being hired, I do think something was in the cards and has been delayed
2) even best case, happily in love and secretly engaged, Kate has got to be worrying about PW’s physical safety more so than usual.

okay, my .02….
I thought the dress was simply too short. If she’s at all trying to improve her media image (and it’s probably only on blogs that this notion has any reality), then this dress does not help.
It reminded me of when she tried to look ‘hot’ back in spring of 2007, after their second break up, when she was out and about, and trying to look happy and glamourous and doing just fine without pw.
I agree with Ked that something seemed ‘off’ with their facial expressions and body language.
KM’s facial expressions looked strained, or forced, and she did not look genuinely happy.
There just didn’t seem to be any noticeable warmth or affection as PW and KM sat together in the car. They looked stiff and a bit awkward. Where was the warmth and affection that one would expect?
Something seems off here.
And, if PW has so little free time to spend with KM, why didn’t he and KM eat dinner together? And why were they out drinking with friends, like teenagers?

Jade, if you have the right to say that they did look happy then anastasia has the right to say that they did not. If you do not like others commenting about expressions and body language, don’t do it yourself. If you want to then you just have to put up with the fact that other people are not always going to agree and may see something differnet. Every opinion is just as valuable as the next.
I personally think that the dress was too short. An inch or two longer would have been more advisable just so she did not show as much of her legs as she got into the car. Poor girl she must try to be more careful when getting out of cars, it must be embarrassing to know that someone has taken a photograph of your bra.
I think that Kate does not look as happy as she is not smiling as much for the cameras as she used to do. There is no posing or big grins just a woman leaving a club and getting in the car.
I do not believe the New Idea article at all. They are not a reliable source.

lisa, I don’t think I was the only one to comment about KM’s demeanour and facial expressions. Compare the same night photographs when with her sister and when with PW.
PW and KM both had that “ok it’s Christmas, they want a snap lets give them a couple , good night, see you in a week or two” and what was most unusual was that KM’s attitude to PW was exactly as PW usual attitude to KM.
I don’t think PW would go to ‘8/8′ its so tiny and tables are so close together. The private back room seats about a dozen and they have a 2 for 1 at present so it gets a bit crowded.
lisa, there is tension and even conflict between them at present and if it is PW’s press phobia that is causing it then he really has to grow up, get out of the nursery and remember who he is. He is going to get that attention all his life and he has to get over it and learn to use it as PC does and Diana did.
He is not natural like PH, doesn’t really like people and has an implied arrogance whilst trying to show he is caring. It is obvious he isnt and seems to give off a very selfish attitude.
it would seem from this latest sighting that KM’s attitude to PW has changed and perhaps she herself is now seeing that side of him whilst earlier on she was blind to it.
Unless it is all an act carefully staged to show indifference in the hope that interest in them will wane as the public grow tired of the interminable misery that surrounds their public appearances to gether.

ked,I think people are really reading way too much into facial expressions and the direction they are looking in. Pictures are taken in a fraction of a second. They actually looked happier to me and for once,William did not drunk,which is a good thing,IMO.
You state there is “tension and even conflict” between them. How do you you know this? Only someone close to a couple would know this kind of information.
From what I can see,there is no change in the relationship at all. They appear together at the usual events(Sandringham hunting,Whiskey Mist etc.) I see not reason to think there is anything wrong. In fact they look happier in this batch of pictures then they normally do when they are being besieged by 40 lunatics with cameras.
Where I do agree with you is William’s issues regarding the press. You are right,he will be in the public eye his whole life and it will only get worse so he better learn to accept it and deal with it..

Ked, I agree w/your comments. I do think KM appeared to have the same “look” that PW usually has when they are together. Like you said, maybe over these months she has seen something in him that she does not like and can’t fake it w/a big smile. I was wondering if the bags seen in one of the photos were from her stay at Sandringham and she was returning home after they left WM? I hope she has woken up and will find a life a way from PW while he is gone. I can’t see why she would want to carry on this charade though. Maybe there is a change in her family too and that change is due to PW not being w/her. Personally, I would be hurt if I were KM by her mother’s comments to the Telegraph. But that’s just me. JMO.

In a taxi with quite a few photographers outside they have other things on their minds than looking in love. They just want to get into the taxi so it can drive away. The look on their faces has to do with this, not how they feel about eachother. Seriously, you cannot be jugding their love for eachother from pictures like these???

Yes it’s true, everybody is paying too much attention to their facial expressions. Those pictures are taken so fast that you face comes out in all kind of different ways. When they was settled in the car, they smiled from ear to ear. They really showed us that everything is fine and they were out enjoying their holiday celebrations. I see Harry is said to be taking Chelsy to a Christmas vacation. I thought they would be home for the holidays? I think William & Kate gave us alittle holiday joy the other day.

Does anyone remember the pictures of Km & Pw in the car after the Boodles Boxing charity event? KM had a similar face on her as the pictures which were taken last night. I personally am just happy to seethem out & about together again. Pictures are only a small snap shotof the evening. Often at 4:00am I don’t look the happiest either. Hopefully everything is fine let’s be grateful that there have been some sightings & that we are not still wondering where KM is.

I would have to agree with the people who are saying that Kate and William are still together. If William wanted just a physical relationship, he could find many girls who would go along with him. With Kate, there is a connection which goes beyond the physical. It spans from the time that they just met until right today.
If they had just split up, I would not think that they would be seen together. I would also suspect that we have two people who are soul mates who will eventually get married.

H & Kat, I agree. William really do look happy. I said before that he seem to be in a happy place in his life and got so much going for him. H, I said this about William & Kate and I’ll say it for Harry & Chelsy. If that is true, then I don’t think Chelsy would leave Harry with other girls if she didn’t trust him. Everyone is entitled to her/his own opinion in my book. In fact, all view points should challenge what we believe. It took me almost a year of following William and Kate before I wrote my first words. In the end, we are all talking about two people who a very real. We can only guess about what is happening. The thought that strikes me is that every time I start to feel that they are drifting apart, they do something like this week with the hunting and the clubbing. It reinforces my thought that they do love each other. No one that I know could be dating for as long as they have, split, and soon after beseen together. I might be wrong. I do hope that they are together to give each other love, friendship, and support.
There are only a few couples who are in their situation.

The article in which Harry says that Chelsy was at BP for the 60th birthday was reported by 2 other magazines or tabloids from Europe. I did not want to write about it without knowing the validity of the magazines which I tried to find out. However with it being reported by Harry I feel that this is not a rumor. In fact both sources say that both Kate and Chelsy were there. Here is the link to one of the articles

I found the other reference to Kate and Chelsy being at Buckingham Palace for the reception for Charles’s 60th. It if from a French magazine Lefigaro dated 14/11/2008. I could not translate all of it so I translate the important paragraph and I do quote ” The week ended on a more festive for the Prince of Wales and his wife. Well PH, I saw what happened to Charles & Diana and how the media treated them and put words into their mouth. I was young at the time but I had gotten the feeling that a lot of the media stories was nothing but a made up story. Now that William has found his lady, the media is dong something similar to them. I can’t believe after we have seen that things are going so well, KN would come up with that and what’s worse is put words into Mrs. Middletons mouth. You would think that since it’s the holidays she would come up with something nice but no KN has to try to rain on this couples parade. It just bothers me. I went to other royal sites and read that some of them think it’s a bunch of bull. It’s just sad PH that that these two have to go though that but I think back to William & Harry’s interview and how they said that there are so many things that is mad up by the media about them and how they often wonder to themseleves, where do they get these stories from?
