Well A Fat I’m not sure about that. The window for an engagement announcement this year is closing.. KM just looks tired and very nervous to be caught out by paps. I’m would put a bet on that she has been told to stay out of the lime light or any kind of light at all and got worried that she had been caught. William probably had to leave to get back to the rugby.

William vacationed with the Middleton’s last year in Mustique following his tour with the Navy in the caribbean. It is great how close he has become to the family. They probably represent something he longed for as a child, a close,happy family. I am very happy he has found them. I don’t know about that announcement,though. I have always felt that for security reason,the engagement would be quite short but the window for a summer 2009 wedding is closing quickly,I fear.

jj, I agree that she does not look her best here. I don’t think she is worried about being caught by the paps because she had to go to the airport to get the plane home. It is not her fault she was photographed. I think we tend to forget the stress the constant media attention must cause on her. There is one picture where Kate and Carol are looking down the escalator at something and Carol is smiling. I wonder if it was a pap being escorted out of the airport by security/Police. I hope so.

First of all, Kate looks great and I’m sure her and William had a great time with her family skiing.
I don’t think William or the palace told her to stay out of the spotlight but she just took a break from it. She knows that she has to get back into it sometime. It seems like in the wintery months, she enjoys a break but in the spring and summer, she dives right back into it.
I worked late last night and I was pretty tierd but I had alittle glimpse of a dream that we had more pictures of her. Now I get back online and there are more pictures. That is very interesting.
As for engagement news, that will get here when it gets here. It could still be announced this year for a 2010 wedding. So yes the door is closing for a early announcement but it’s not closing for the entire year. I do feel like this royal couple is going to have a good year. 2009 will be good to them.
I have my fingers crossed for this couple and they are still in my prayers because they go through a lot with the tabs. I just hope the new team get them out there so we can see them doing some beautiful things.

It’s obvious PW prefers Kate’s family to his own — and even if they are social climbers, at least he’s getting something he wants and needs in exchange — closeness and a little bit of “normal” family life.
Think about it — his own family rejects each other each time one of them gets prickly over something. And then here are these warm, sloppy Middletons taking him back home like a Labrador all over my leg. Which would you prefer?

I have to agree. For most people family is very important and going on vacation with your partners family (Mustique/France ski trip) and letting your partner be involved with your family events and vacations (PC birthday celebration, trip up to Scotland with PC and CPB/Klosters/weddings etc) are all good signs. Although it doesn’t guarantee anything it all points in the right direction. I’m not sure the economy is a good enough excuse for me Alsgal as Princess Victoria of Sweden had no problem in pulling that trigger although her wedding is still a year away. PW also mentioned that he is still training with the RAF to some extent (not sure of the exact wording) but made it seem as if the RAF job is not his top priority either. So what gives????? One week left for a 2009 announcement then it’s on to next year…..

Alsgal, your a naughty woman! It looks like KM did pick a ring up while skiing, that big cluster on her right middle finger. Yet, she is no longer wearing that little ring on her middle left finger. If he can’t provide her w/something better than that, then I would not wear one either. They are not in college anymore and promise rings are not meant to last 5yrs+. I wonder where PM and Percy were, maybe they took another flight? Where was Papa Midds, running PP? Maybe the mysterious lady w/KM and CM was a relative? I want a ring already! Too many family trips and PW is not sure if he’s ready to marry KM? I hope Ma Midds sat him down and laid the law down, like she did w/Mandrake. PW needs to make an honest woman out of KM so these “Waitey Katey” can shut up. I do think KM needs to start taking better care of her skin, though. I hope she is getting some type of chemical peels, microderm and I would suggest collagen injections for her laugh lines. She looked like she was taking care of her skin, now that she has been in hiding it looks as though she has not been keeping her face up. I am an esthetician and she needs to protect her skin or she will look like Camilla pre-wedding and face work.

Good points everyone! The woman behind Kate does appear to have been skiing as well because she has the same pattern of sunburn on her face from the googles. I can’t,however decide if she bears a resemblence to Kate or not but I feel as if I have seen her before.
I feel like we may be being a bit hard on Kate’s appearance here as well. She was only going through an airport, not attending a state dinner,LOL. Hopefully more pictures coming soon.

Exactly and I know how I looked last week on the way back from my ski trip and it was no where as good as Kate looked when she walked through the airport. She was probably just tired. The woman behind her does look like she was also on the ski trip with the tell tale goggle marks. There was an unidentified couple in the group picture so she is probably just another friend. Yes Rman I get your point I’m just impatient and want an announcement already….. Hmm I do wonder where Ked is. Something makes me think that when he gets back he will have something to say about all of this…

Ma Midds probably thought it was time for a little one-on-one w/PW and what better place the the French Alps, right? I know the Midds are loaded but that’s an expensive vacay. locksmithoflove…Don’t forget, KM was given her own personal protection officer, I don’t recall reading anywhere as to what sex they were.
In regards to the photos, sometime ago there was a documentary here in England showing us the day to day running of an airport. It was in this docu that I learnt most airports have a resident photographer. It is they who have first call on pics.
I still don’t see there being a wedding this year. Mostly because I expect the second in line to marry in summer and garner as much publicity as possible. However, if its held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, then there is no reason it shouldn’t be held in winter. Other royals have married in Winter. The Queen, Princess Anne to name but two.
I do think K is spending more time than we know with W. It has been mentioned that he is renting a house in the grounds of a stately home and I would not be surprised if W is living with him part of the week.
I hope so, because I am reminded of what Fergie said recently about Sophie Wessex had more time to become accustomed to the Royal fold, and I’m sure I also read somewhere that her and Edward actually lived in K. Palace together.
Anyway, all we can do is keep hoping and fingers crossed.
Alsgal, totally agree with you, I always felt W preferred K’s family to his own. There a real family, whereas the Royals are an institution first and foremost.

Hung and others are right. The photo of Kate Middleton posted above this article is a really bad photo. Really bad photos can make a person look older, tired, etc.
One bad photo is one bad photo and does not mean: Kate Middleton always looks bad in photos or that Kate Middleton is not attractive.
Let’s just agree that the one photo posted above is a BAD photo of Kate Middleton and she does looks 40-ish in that one bad photo, but we all know that there are lots of good photos out there where she looks 20 something!
There is another photo in this same airport set that in which she looks fantastic.

I think it’s best not to jump straight down someone’s throat even if they make a comment as pointed as hung did.
If there’s a pattern of comments from someone like that please refer it to my attention and I’ll keep an eye on things.
Even though commentators may be sticking up for Kate it can come across as confrontational and does in fact add to a ‘negative vibe’ which I’d prefer not to have on this site.

BRW, the problem is that the same FEW POSTERS from a handful of Kate-Hate sites do drive-bys through here with a million different screennames. If you are looking for a pattern of nastiness from the same poster you’ll won’t see it. I’ve seen more new names here and a mockery of names of long-time posters here than I’ve seen regular posters.
I maintain they are flocking to this site in order to (1) tear down Kate Middleton in hopes that the tabloids, who have vacated their once active sites will pick up their bile, rumors, nasty innuendo and out-and-out lies and run with it and (2) pull the chain of others who don’t share their psychotic hatred of all things Middleton.
They are the same people who register under different screennames at the comment section in the Daily Mail and the Sun with the same tired rants against Kate Middleton and her family.

I thought the point of posting was to share everyone’s opinions, and still be accepting of other points of views even if they may be contrary to our own. Isn’t that the fun of this? Lisa, she looks like some kind of undercover bodgyguard what with that hard, icy stare as she is obviously, yet discreetly, scanning the room for “threats” to her “target”.
Or, she might just be a Middleton friend who had too much wine in her fondue the night before. Still, Alsgal would bet that’s some kind of lesbian with a gun on her person, and that she’s there to protect Kate and her family.
So, anyone still speculating that W & K are just friends? Alsgal doesn’t think so, because if Someone is just friends with Someone then both Someones would want to clarify that Fact so that Someone wouldn’t have to pay for a carpet muncher to pack heat on behalf of Someone’s girlfriend, girlfriend.
An official announcement/ wedding delay is due to the economy and also to allow a bit of time for Kate to lose the Clubbing Kate image and to make PW more popular with the public by invoking the name of his Mama. Simple question of timing, that’s all.

The happy smilie girl we got so used seeing seems to be on vacation somewhere.. I have to also assume that the cause of her woes are mostly the media attention which has been unrelentently harsh towards her. Makes me sad to look at the recent photos of her(although she’s still a stunning girl). I so often admired her outfits/great legs/glowing skin etc but now I almost feel bad for looking. Be careful what you wish for I guess…

You may very well be correct about her being some sort of security guard. If you look at the picture of them going up the escalator… If looks could kill who ever was taking that photograph would be 6 feet under.. Doesn’t prove anything but it’s a very sneaky way of getting protection for kate. Who would question a female always in the group. Most would just assume she was one of the group…
Lets hope an announcement is coming soon. Kate does look very nervous actually the most nervous I have ever seen her but Rman was right in his earlier summation in that maybe the media pressure is getting to her a little more than we thought..

JJ that’s why I think people including the media need to get off her back. It’s like they are trying to ride her down to the ground and it’s just wrong. It seems like they have a plan this year and I hope we see her being included into his engagements. I also don’t think she is all that pleased that she is being blamed for the whole Harry & Chelsy thing. But I have to say, she is handling this very well.

Why are so many on this site so happy to knock KM. She wasn’t exactly posing for the photo and I’m certain did not want to be photographed. Leave this lovely young woman alone. Can you not remember how awful people were to Princess Diana and then after her death they all cried and felt dreadful. Please be kind to KM, she faces a future being photographed 24/7.

It looks like Kate’s sycophant fans are out patrolling this comment page. When someone makes a comment that she looks really old, that doesn’t mean they don’t like her: it’s simply a fact, and if you can’t handle it, then it’s your problem.
Show me another 20 something who looks twice her age like Kate, and then we’ll be settled. If you look at 40 something actresses like Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston and model Cindy Crawford, none of them have lines around their mouth and nose like Kate, a double chin, and circles under their eyes. And she also has no lips, which makes her look even older because most old people have thinning lips.
Just because someone is famous it does not mean they’re attractive or good people, and you should know the facts before you defend them.

Although the article concentrates on her swingers uniter Killing Kittens. I don’t think this is what KM needs when she is trying to get PR back on track. CH/SJP must not want this union to happen.

SJP is not messing with their union and I don’t think Kate approve of what ES do. The only thing SJP can do is distance Kate from ES and I don’t think we have seen Kate with her since they made her pull out of that race. The excuse was that the race was a security risk but I think this had something to do with it. The press write will whatever but Kate has nothing to do with it.

I hope that Ked comes back. He always gave me some things to think about. I did not always agree with him. But that is what made it fun. If he did leave, I am sorry that he did. This site has been a good site to come to voice opinions. Nobody was mean or malicious with their comments. Everyone accepted each other’s interprutaion of events. I do think( I have to watch myself as well) that when we go negative with comments or put someone down, that we are also downgrading ourselves. In my opinion noone knows what is truly going on with PW& KM. I do think and hope that they are together and are madly in love. I was hoping that there would be word before this about a wedding. Something to think about. One of ourcelebrities said that I think that they dated over20 years and then got married. I am hoping that PW&KM get married sooner than later but no pressure.

The article posted in the Sun is NOT a good one at all. It’s awful and I don’t like the way that KM’s name is plastered all over it. What on earth are some of these publications trying to do. Enemies of progress my father calls it. I don’t know if it is because they don’t get many photographs any more so they have to write about whatever they can find.. Ron will have a field day with this, he has already written that because of KM association with ES that she is not fit to be the next princess of Wales. Dearest Gracie, Alsgal just about went into full coronary arrest when I did my nightly post-Happy Hour Google search of “Kate Middleton Royal Superstar” and what came up but that awful Killing Kittens article in the Sun.
Ruh-roh.
Alsgal admits she may be a wee bit paranoid at times, and is firmly convinced LBJ murdered JFK, so she has to ask her Alsgal self: Why is all this bad press coming out about KM this last few weeks after months of no news?
Only one way now for SJP/CH to spin it, and that is a big honking piece of diamond on Kate’s finger.

Don’t worry Alsgal, the Sun article about Kate Middleton being a friend to Emma Sayle is missing something very, VERY important:
Any evidence at all that Kate Middleton has had anything to do with Emma Sayle since August 2007!!
The last time Kate Middleton was even seen in the vicinity of Emma Sayle was at the end of July, 2007. In August Kate dropped out of the the actual Dragon Boat race, and she has never been seen with or photographed with Emma Sayle since the month of July 2007.
People should remember that Kate Middleton didn’t join the dragonboat crew because of Emma Sayle, because Kate didn’t even meet Emma until she joined the crew.
Kate joined the dragonboat’s crew at the request of her old schoolmate Alicia Fox-Pitt.
That’s not a guess on my part, it’s a fact. If anyone cares to go look up all of the old articles, that fact is mentioned over and over again.
Kate Middleton was friends with Alicia Fox-Pitt, a schoolmate from her Marlborough days. Alicia Fox-Pitt is not a member of Killing Kittens, and neither is Kate Middleton.
This is nothing more than sensationalism on the part of the newspapers, but unluckily for the newspapers, there are enough people with good memories who will remember and point out the fact that Kate Middleton and Emma Sayle were never professed to be besties. (
that’s ‘best friends’ for the mature people who aren’t familiar with the term.)
Kate was friends with Alicia F-P, and she became friends with Emma Sayle. But the most she and Emma were ever photographed doing was having brunch –twice!– after practise sessions.
There are no photos or articles about Kate Middleton going to clubs with Emma Sayle or any of Emma Sayle’s Killing Kittens friends, and there are no articles or photos showing Kate Middleton having anything at all to do with Emma Sayle after she (Kate) dropped out of the race.
So the Sun referring to Emma as Kate’s “best friend” is false. SJP and BP know this, and so does William.

I am thinking the british press is peeved at W/K for feeding them bad info on the ski trip and maybe over the possibility that the point de vue article could have some truth to it.
Pardon me but the RF is hardly full of a bunch of prudes and tea tottlers. I few examples would be the soon to be wife of Freddie Windsor and the exploits of Zara and Mike in regards to their drink consumption. A blogger on another site suggested that Kate’s “association” with this Emma person would prohibit her from marrying Wills. HA! Not likely.
The press can’t dig up any bonafide dirt on Kate so they resort to these types of articles and they are just really silly.

Mapleleaf is right, Kate has not been seen with Emma Sayle since the Palace pulled her out of that race. I truly believe that is the reason why they pulled her out so the connection the Sun is trying to make is false. Of course the people that hates Kate will rejoice in that story. SJP will not be bothered with that story because they know the facts.
Like I said before, people just need to get off Kate’s back. Kate is going through the fire and she is just handling it so well. I know God will never put no more on her than she can bear. When I look at the big picture out of all of this, I believe the media and public will look back on all of this in the future and truly realize that Kate had to go through the fire for love. It wasn’t a piece a cake for her. I believe The Queen is watching her and is impressed. She showed that last year.

Yay Lisa, thanks for plain speaking! I don’t think Wills and Kate are near engagement either, and why should they have to be?
The skiing pics showed us that William likes being with Kate AND with Kate’s family. William and Kate continue to be together, so obviously they’re happy with the way things are going. A wedding can wait. In the meantime, they have apparently decided to live their lives the way they choose, and continue to be happy being together.
And about the Sisterhood: WDS, the Sisterhood and Killing Kittens are two totally different organisations.
If Kate did actually attend a party for charity that the Sisterhood held at club Raffles, then good for Kate! The Sisterhood frequently holds parties for charity at clubs like Raffles and Whiskey Mist, from what I’ve read.
If Kate Middleton was at a sisterhood party at Raffles and Emma Sayle was at a sisterhood party at Raffles, so what? How would that make them ‘best friends’? I read that Alicia Fox-Pitt was at the Raffles party as well, and Alicia is the person that is Kate’s old school chum. Emma is just one of many members of the Sisterhood, and she happens to own a part of Killing Kittens.
That’s the only reason Kate’s name is being connected with Emma Sayle in the first place. It’s not like we’ve seen any associations in the press between Kate and Emma since July 2007.
The media can’t find anything to say about Kate, so they’re mentioning her name to generate interest in their articles.
