British PM plans to give female Royals equal succession rights – Daily Mail
Gordon Brown wants to end the centuries-old law that gives men priority over their older sisters in the Royal line of succession. The ban on members of the Royal Family marrying Roman Catholics - unless they give up their claim to the throne - would also be swept away. The Prime Minister believes the 1701 Act of Settlement is an ‘anomaly that has no place in the 21st century’, Downing Street sources said last night. Buckingham Palace is said to be sympathetic to the idea and ready to ‘open dialogue’ on the issue…

Conclusive proof: the day the Queen ignored humble Simon Cowell – The Guardian
Promoting one or other of his apocalypse-baiting TV formats this week, Simon told chatshow host Jay Leno that the Queen had ignored him in a Royal Variety Show line-up. The picture above shows Her Majesty ignoring him at the occasion in question – but on the monarch’s head be it. The truth is, humanity needs Simon…

No Kate again, huh? Well at least they can’t accuse her of falling out of nightclubs drunk at 4am.

Lisa, well said.
With regards to the Queen ignoring Simon Cowell, I don’t quite understand this story, as clicking the link what I see is a picture of the Q shaking hands with the acerbic Mr Cowell.

Meanwhile the above link is a story about Fergie. She looks awful in this dress. Doesn’t she no longer represent weightwatchers?

Hi Hale,
Cowell went on TV and claimed that he was ignored by the Queen at a recent function. The photo clearly shows otherwise.

Nice to see that Miss Phillips is back in the saddle doing what she loves! Best wishes to her on the way to 2012!
Adding in the Catholics should open up a new dating pool to the new generation of royals, but honestly, what would they have said if Wills, Harry, Bea, or Eugenie if they brought a non-protestant home to meet the folks? If they would have denied their kiddos to see a Catholic that would have sparked an uproar from plenty of papers. Nice to see something so archaic has been overturned. I wonder what would happen if one of them dated a Hindu or Buddhist? Don’t think the RF is ready for that one!

Thank you BRW for explaining that to me. Simon Cowell is not one of my favourite people.

Well I hope Zara will be ok with her come back. She had some pretty nasty falls last year and I really wonder whether she should give the whole thing up.. I wonder what is going on with her and Mike Tindall also I would have thought that they would have been engaged by now???

ATX – Why would you attack the Catholic people on this website? Shame on you.

Woah, Jade Falzon, you might want to re-read my comment. No attack there. Just jokes! If anything, I’m happy they’re adding Catholics into the mix. Are you always this quick to jump into an arguement? Shame on you.
