Mail on Sunday headline

The Mail on Sunday is reporting that Prince Harry is coming underfire over his judgement after attending an ‘illegal’ rave party…

Senior Royal sources have confirmed that the Prince was at the dilapidated venue in East London.

He was there to celebrate the birthday of Davina Harbord, the sister of 27-year-old Astrid Harbord with whom he has been romantically linked in recent weeks. The two young women have been dubbed the Hardcore Sisters by society magazine Tatler.

Serious concerns have been raised about the Prince’s appearance at the all-night party in Whitechapel, East London, an area notorious for high crime rates and drug problems.

Hi Guys As ked said the young royals are really behgaving in an erratic way. They seem to be out of control and without older supervision

Alsgal, I am happy to hear that your tatoo on your arse has not caused you a serious infection and thus your reason for not posting! I feel so bad for you as you might be delayed your favorite mag ” Magesty” in a timely manner due to your recent explosion. Port-o-Potty are a wonderful thing much better than a wooded outhouse anyday. With all that you have been through you should be able to customise the color of your Potty! If you were closer I be more than happy to accomidate you and Al in our double-wide. The camp we live in has public facilities so that would help some. How’s your arse anyway?

  • LRose #3 - April 20, 2009 at 11:13 am

And I know that this has already been said, and though i’m a newbie to posting I’ve been lurking on this site for over a year, and I just wanted to say that I also enjoy Ked’s posts. He contributes greatly to the discussion here, stays on topic, and never makes personal attacks on other posters when people disagree with him. If he stopped posting it would be at a great loss to those of us royal watchers who congregate at BRW.

On topic now, I find it very intriguing that Harry attended an illegal rave. That’s some pretty hardcore partying, and shows IMO that he is perhaps less than concerned with keeping up appearances at the moment, or perhaps I should say less concerned than usual.

  • rosettaresearch #4 - April 20, 2009 at 12:07 pm

Waiting for all the blasts against Harry for not behaving as a Royal should. Just like the blasts against Eugenie for daring to wear a bikini while on vacation in Thailand.

    Again take care”

I am sorry, who is of low “interlect”

    Ha Ha Ha

The same could be said for you and others on this site, maybe you are posting under 5 names. No different…
Each time you accuse people of this “gross indecency” People will laugh at your comment because it takes one to know one…

  • gracie #6 - April 20, 2009 at 3:14 pm

Did this Rave happen when those cop cars where called where CD flat is in Leeds? No reason was ever given as to why they were there and the party was in Leeds area. Just curious. We all like Ked’s post, but he has no been writing as much lately.

  • Me #7 - April 20, 2009 at 3:17 pm

I think the Rave was in London.

  • Me #8 - April 20, 2009 at 3:19 pm

I like Ked, but I think people may express their disagreement respectfully. In the past Trixie, Mapleleaf and myself have done so with Ked, Will and others.

What’s good for Kara is good for anyone.

Most base their/our opinions on tabloid, broadsheet or pictures.

  • Britt #9 - April 20, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Gracie, I’m quite sure the Rave took place only a week or so ago (judging by the Facebook pictures floating about now). It was in London not Leeds, so the police hanging around on Chelsy’s road was a completely isolated incident and not related to the rave :)

If there was a juicy story as to why the police were on Chelsy’s road we would have heard something by now I assume.

On topic, I hope the Harbord sisters are nothing but booty calls. England has so much better to offer!

  • Me #10 - April 20, 2009 at 3:20 pm

Not on the ‘so called’ supposed/perhaps inside info that have not added to nothing.

The only poster who wrote with inside info and provided the PROOF then later was taken by the entire UK media was from Zoe.

  • Hale #11 - April 20, 2009 at 3:28 pm

Alsgal, so very, very happy to hear from you. Sorry to read about your accident and glad you or your husband were not hurt. Hope things sort themselves out soon for you.

Just to add my two pence worth here, and say I agreed with Lisa’s posting about Ked being a respected commentator here.

With regards to the above article. I do feel its being harsh towards Harry. First of all, he didn’t organise the party, and secondly who on earth thinks of asking, ‘oh this rave you’ve invited me to, is it legal?’

I do think however, the Hardcore sisters are not the kind any of the princes should be socialising with.

Who is Zoe and what was the inside info?

  • sojourner #14 - April 20, 2009 at 5:39 pm

Rave, smave. So it was illegal… who’s gonna let a little piece of paper called permit come between them and a whole lotta fun?

A (little) more seriously now… Harry must be giving a serious case of the grey hairs to his pr people.

  • Lisa #15 - April 20, 2009 at 5:42 pm

Do you really think Harry’s PR people have any hair left to go grey? ;)

  • Hale #16 - April 20, 2009 at 5:47 pm

Lisa, more to the point, do Harry’s PR have any tongues? What are they getting paid for? There quick to speak up for William.

Harry, once more the sacrificial lamb.

  • mapleleaf #17 - April 20, 2009 at 5:51 pm

Hi Lisa, Me is absolutely correct, Zoe did provide validated inside info.

Zoe is a poster on TIF. In June of 2007 (month before the Diana Concert) Zoe attended the FN Troop Leaders graduation party held at Lulworth, and provided links to actual fb pics of the party. The pics were attached to open fb Profiles that have been changed to private since then.

It was a ‘fancy dress party’ (meaning a costume party) and everyone was dressed up in a costume of some sort. The theme was ‘Freakin Naughty’, and a lot of the guys wore lingerie and silly wigs. Some of the girls wore lingerie as well. Kate played it safe and wore a ‘naughty nurse’ costume with those fav spiked-heel black boots of hers.

There were a couple of photos of Kate dancing at the party, and one blurry shot of Wills. There were also some pics of some of the party guests having a semi-nude jello wrestling event in an inflatable wading pool…. it looked pretty interesting, to say the least.

Supposedly at some point Wills and Kate were seen snogging on a couch whilst people around them were dancing and wrestling in lime-green jello.

;) I think a good time was probably had by all who attended that party!

  • rosettaresearch #18 - April 20, 2009 at 6:38 pm

How come I never get invited to parties like that?

  • Lisa #19 - April 20, 2009 at 6:55 pm

mapleleaf, thank or the info. Sounds like quite a party, lol. I am almost afraid to ask this question but could you explain to this American girl what snogging is? Hopefully it is not too terrible if they were doing in a semi public(gosh Zoe,where are the pictures of that?) ;)

Is this the famous(or infamous, depending on your POV) party where they got back together after the “breakup”?

Thanks again for all your info and sorry for all the questions :)

  • jj #20 - April 20, 2009 at 7:02 pm

    Lisa

Snogging is the same as making out & yes it was the infamous party that they got back together. Or were first pubically seen as being affectionate.

Thanks for the link. Nice to get some official information.

Who is Zoe and what was the inside info?”

If I remember correctly, at another site Zoe provided proof, complete with picture, that Kate & William had reunited and attended a barracks costume party — Kate in nurse’s costume.

these kids may be rich and overprivileged but by looking at the things they do, we can see they have no direction. People behave like this when they feel emptiness in their hearts.
They think that because they have wealth they have it all, but I can guarantee that a person who behaves like this always ends up being a miserable person.
These kids need to learn more about life and what it is like to make a sacrifice. It looks like they get everything in a silver plate and at the end, this will lead them to be like a parasite who doesnt know how to do anything.

  • Hale #40 - April 21, 2009 at 5:01 pm

Me, I always thought the police thing was about retrieving personal things regarding Harry.

I was sorry to read about the trooper being killed. I understand he was Fijian. Fijian’s have an excellant reputation as fighting men. Many of them usually make their way to the SAS.

As for Charles, I have a sought of love/hate thing about him. I suppose a lot of it has to do with his treatment of Diana, but also him personally. Although, I don’t think he knows any better because of the way he was brought up.

But I also believe he will be one of the best educated monarchs we have ever had, and I happen to think his work with the Prince of Wales Trust is just out of this world.

  • Just an ordinary Girl #41 - April 21, 2009 at 6:09 pm

Happy Birthday to Queen Elizabeth have a wonderful birthday party with friends and family.

  • jj #42 - April 21, 2009 at 6:13 pm

    Yes Hale

I have also struggled with Charles, mainly because of his treatment of Diana. I know she was not without fault but it completely put me off of him. I do however think he has done an admiral job with PH & PW. Although Harry has been a handful and continues to walk the fine line I don’t think they have turned out too badly. I also struggle with Camilla Parker Bowles. I don’t think I will ever come around to liking her but such is life..

  • Hale #43 - April 21, 2009 at 6:44 pm

jj, I feel the same way about Camilla. When PC married her, I decided to give her a break. Unfortunately, she doesn’t help herself. The woman is lazy and doesn’t pull her weight.

I truly believe, she would have been happier if she had remained PC’s mistress.

  • sojourner #44 - April 21, 2009 at 7:16 pm

    JJ,

    Interesting NZ poll.

IMHO, the ties among the commonwealth nations, specially those in the pacific, are bound to slowly yet steadily weaken. I do not know if even the Queen (Long Live!) could hold on to them forever.

I think that Charles gets a very bad rap. He is very hard working, has a true devotion to very important social issues. Like his father, he pioneered green and sustainable causes, for which he was often ridiculed.

PW and PH have long lives to live yet, and may very well prove to be a better men than their father. But only time will tell.

Morning guys. I do miss talking to my fellow royal peeps but I’m working a lot these days.

I think it’s time for the press start acknowledging her devotion to the second in line to the throne. I think it’s a beautiful thing and it makes William a very lucky man.

  • Hale #55 - April 22, 2009 at 1:11 pm

Rman, have you forgotten the video Steve posted sometime ago, in which Richard Jobson said ‘I wish he’d hurry up and marry that sweet girl?’ Richard Jobson was talking about Kate.

The thing I should like to see is St.J’s coming forward a lot more. Not only for Kate, but for Harry in particular. Afterall he shares that office with William.

  • Redlady #56 - April 22, 2009 at 1:27 pm

What a beautiful photo of KM, she will certainly jazz up the Royal family – can’t wait for the engagement announcement.

I can’t take this lack of royal news. Only thing remotely exciting in C&C going to Rome to visit Pope. I wonder if he really is going to give them copies of Henry requests for annullment of Catherine of Aragon? The Pope just has that stuff in Vatican basement. Maybe they need “Cash in the Attic” to come and clear out some of it?

  • Me #61 - April 23, 2009 at 9:22 am

Dear Ked, your welcome, I am a staunch supporter of “internet security” and believe that Penny owes you an apology. This should never happen and I hope “if” both find to be “known” that it may be fixed outside this (internet) tunel.

This will be Victoria and Daniel’s official residence after their wedding.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haga_Palace

  • LRose #63 - April 23, 2009 at 12:06 pm

Several people have mentioned how Harry’s PR staff seems to be a bit lackadaisical; is it possible this is so that when William does screw up occasionally, he at least comes off as the better of the two? Or do they just not care as much about Harry?

  • Hale #64 - April 23, 2009 at 1:10 pm

LRose, In my opinion Harry is a sacrificial lamb. That PR team isn’t here for William & Harry, it is there for William. Their whole brief is ‘keep William out of the papers.’ That is all they exist for.

A couple of weeks back, William is supposed to have revealed some of his opinions to a journalist. Whether the story is true or not, we don’t know. But what I did find odd was that it wasn’t his office that denied the story, but Clarence House.

  • jj #65 - April 23, 2009 at 1:13 pm

Rman that is an amazing residence for Victoria and Daniel. The architects are really going to have to step up with Harewood Park, if that is indeed the home to be for William and Kate…

Lrose I’m not sure what the staff are up to with regards to PW & PH. PH does seem to get the negative wrap a lot, but he isn’t the heir apparent and under as much pressure…

  • Rman #66 - April 23, 2009 at 2:22 pm

JJ I agree it’s a nice home. I guess William & Kate want to move into a new home, but I really think their London base will be St. James’s Palace.
