Thanks for the updates. William is coming off very well in these appearances. he is beginning to really connect with the people. Maybe the RAF plan was really best for him. Instead of him bolting right into fulltime royal duties, they are able to ease him in slowly while he trains. By the time his training is done,he will be a pro at these events and comfortable enough to take them on fulltime. I wish these papers would stop making headlines out of personal stuff like his hair and his teeth. It is hardly newsworthy and seems to be quite tacky.

Lisa, I couldn’t agree more. In my opinion the press were being stupid and childish, and frankly it is an insult to its readerships intelligence.
I couldn’t give a toss about William’s hairline or his brace. What I wanted to read about was his responses to adult and childrens questions alike. I’m sure some of them would have been amusing.
That’s why I am grateful for the video link. It was fun and joyous to watch.

Yeah I don’t know why people are making such a big deal about his hair and braces.
Lisa, I seeing William doing his duties and he gets lots of attention. Sometime you hardly ever notice some of the other royals doing duties because the attention is not always focused on them. It’s the young royals that the public is craving for, I think.

I am glad to see that William is getting some positive press. It will help the royal family. I am looking forward to seeing Kate getting some positive press as well. I am also hoping that she and William are seen together soon. By the way Deacon, just because Kate is not written about in every post doesn’t mean that she is forgotten. It just means that people have well rounded interests in all things royal.
I am anticipating the release of the new book William & Kate next weekend. I am sure that the book is interesting. Hopefully, it will answer some questions about Kate & William.
Maybe, Kate will make an appearance somewhere soon.

Hi When William gives the media something disrespectful or negative real or imagined he can expect to get a bad press. People react to people and if they are treated well they treat you well. William has been obnoxious with the press for years and they always get their own back. He like his father and mother before him must learn to control them by giving a little and he will then find that they will be more respectful and not concentrate on his fraialties.
Diana and Charles both learned the hard way but fist Diana won them over and Charles eventually did the same. With regard to his hair it is a pity that he hasnt got more of Harry’s type hair Strange how same genes bestow such different hair and other characteristics.

Hale, I agree w/you and Deacon. I think PW evasiveness w/the media and KM terse agreement will hurt them when they need it, especially KM. If and when she wants to start getting press for doing charity, etc. the media will be very skeptical. I wonder what Tatler is talking about w/her “new look?” I can’t imagine her chopping her off like Posh. I think she is running in the marathon tomorrow under a different name.

gracie,I can’t imagine Kate running in a marathon. The word would spread and it would turn into a field day for the paps.
I am anxious to see this so called “new look” myself. As much as I love Kate’s beautiful hair, I do think she has needed to cut and style it for quite some time now.

William needs to learn how to use the press to his advantage.

I think that the press will continue to sensationalize every little thing about William-his hair, his retainer, the way he looks etc until they get what they want. The press first wants access to William and not just at the photo shoots, They want to get to know him. He grew up with the press very much aware of who he is. Now he wants to cut them out except for on his terms. Next, they want Kate. More so than that, they want to know the truth about their relationship. They want to know where it is and where it is headed.
They don’t have access to her either. So they are not happy about all of it. The press are not going to go out of their way to discover the good works that they are doing. I agree with all of you. As the saying goes you can win more people to your side with honey. William needs to bring out Kate and do more about winning the press/people over to his side. This is just as I see things from the other side of the pond.

Hi again I know that Kate doesnt have to mentioned to prove she is being talked about but as I see it there is amajority on here who seemingly prefer William to Kate. So if in fact there was a split , witrhin a few weeks most obviously would be contemplating the new one and kate would soon be forgotton Someone here forecast months ago how this would pan out and so far it has all happened as forecast. All to bring William to the fore and hoping that Kate would be confined tro the ether. Its happening.

deacon, nothing is happening. Kate is a very important person in his life, it’s not about how we feel but what William has lets us all know. I accepted long ago that this bald headed guy is in love with this woman and and they are conducting their relationship in private and they see a lot of each other. We don’t see much of her these days and I don’t blame her for wanting to stay behind the scenes for awhile. The girl has been treated badly by the press and the blogging world. All she is doing is loving a guy that has a very interesting life. William is a very busy man, he’s training and doing royal duties but he makes a great effort to keep this woman by his side through it all. And Kate is going through the fire for this guy, people talk about her and her family like a dog at times but no matter what she keeps a smile on her face and keep going. I know we often have debates on if they are truly in love with each other but in my book, what they are doing is out of love from their hearts. I really think things has gotten serious this year and it’s still possible that an engagement will come.

Kate will NOT be at official functions until she is an official member of the Royal Family. That’s jsut the way it works. So, just because she is not seen with Prince William is not proof that they broke up. It just means she is not an official member of the family. Which we all know.
As for the facebook thing, yes people do believe that contacting Prince William through Facebook will mean they are bestest friends forever. It is amazing how divorced from reality otherwise sane people can be. Here in the States, there was an article in the Washington Post about little girls in the US going nuts over the Obama girls (not getting political here, no comment on their fahter). One little girl was quoted as saying that she just knew she would be their best friend. People just want to believe certain things without looking at it objectively.
Heck some people do that on this site. Prince William and Kate Middleton are together no matter, period. Prince William dumped Ms. Middleton long ago and all the sightings of them together are just a sham to fool the public, period. Face it. We don’t know either way. Although, I lean towards the “they are still together and just trying to keep things private for as long as possible knowing that once the engagement is official, there will never be privacy int he relationship again.”

Hello again! Deacon, yes I am of that part which prefers William. But not to Kate Middleton or anyone else. I am convinced that he is a very smart, hardworking and intelligent young man who deserves to become one of the most significant, powerfull, and bright sovereigns. I can see a huge potential in him and will except any young lady next to him, if he loves her of course. But Deacon, how come that you found such an inside information out?

The problem I think is because William hates the press and goes out of his way to avoid them, he expects Kate to follow suit.
Unfortunately, William has an office who protects and speaks up for him. Whereas Kate is left to her own devices.

I have no idea where you got the idea that individuals on this website were more pro William or Kate. In my opinion & I don’t speak for everybody most individuals are for them both & want to see both of them do well together. They are conducting their relationship in private. Whether they make it or not will be up to them & I find it very hard to understand where the stories about her forcefully being made to stay in the background so that she can fade from public life. It actually would paint the Royal family in a very nasty light if this were the case.

Hmmm,,,not a good article thats for sure. I just wonder why it is not in the DM if it actually occurred? I can’t see the pics to know if they are new or not, but either way, Kate needs to avoid incidents like this. Frankly,though, the Royal family has little or no legs to stand on when it comes to this sort of thing and it is not like she was the one who was drunk.
Kate does need to start getting some good press,though. And soon,IMO.

I agree Lisa. To tell you the truth, although I continue to preach about us all being patient, I really do get very tierd of this long wait and the negative press. I mean it’s just time we get to know her better, see her out and about doing great things. But I guess appearences are now on the slow side because William is busy with his training and duties. Since they spend their weekends together, they could at least give us a sighting but the royals seem to be laying low these days. So I guess once the summer kicks in things will probably get better but I need to see some positive energy now and enough with the bull.

SJP/Miguel Head needs to start packaging them as a couple soon if they are to be married in the not so distant future. I feel like all the PR energy is directed at Wills. Harry is not even getting anything. It is like they threw him to the wolves. They are in a bit of a tough position with Kate because there is no formal engagement so there is little officially she can do but if it were me, I would have them seen at the theatre or a charity function or two.
My only bright spot this week is that the Robin Nunn book is scheduled out late this week. I hope it is actually released and not pushed back again. I have my doubts there too but we will have to see.
