Prince William joins Students for impromptu Soccer Match

A group of school students were stunned when Prince William joined them for an impromptu game of football reports the St Helens Star…

The Up Holland High School year 10 students, including youngsters from St Helens area, were visiting RAF Shawbury in Shrewsbury as part of a team-building exercise. But after a day climbing high ropes and making their way around obstacle courses the last thing the group expected was to be joined by the prince for a five-a-side football match!

Jack, of Beacon Road, Billinge, said: “He was class. He was speaking dead posh and I couldn’t understand him at first but he shook all our hands. He wasn’t very good at football and we were all skinning him, especially Mr Murphy!”

    Me,

So true! Reading this piece makes even this strong PW skeptic smile. THIS is the type of common touch the public wants to see. :-D
