Princess Diana and royal butler, Paul BurrellIn a move that’s sure to upset princes William and Harry former royal butler Paul Burrell has appeared on Italian television speaking about the ‘disintegration’ of Prince Charles’ and Princess Diana’s marriage. The Daily Mail reports

Burrell, 51, has already enraged the young princes after he ruthlessly cashed in on the time he spent with their mother in a series of books.

‘It was five years into their marriage, Harry had just been born. The day he was born Prince Charles went to visit him peeped into the cot for five minutes and said ‘Oh it’s a boy’ then he went to the opera,’ he told host Alda D’Eusanio.

‘She said that she cried throughout the night and so I think she knew then things were not right. The people closest to her knew that there were three people in that marriage.’

that’s so rude to write things like that even if it were true.
Show some respect to the dead!

You notice the man (I use that term loosely) stayed out of the UK to make his attacks this time. I wonder if there is an EU law that can shut him up. Geez, his 15 minutes of fame were up several hours ago.

Paul Burrell should be hung, drawn and quartered.

What is he saying we don’t know already? But he is deterimed to milk it for all its worth.

This is the one guy that keep the royals and the media on their toes. Paul is very good at fooling people and making them think he has some major secrets up his sleeve. I wish I could sit down and talk with him so I could really let him know how I feel. He really is a horrible person.

    Bookmakers are “knowledgable sources”? Sheesh!

  • Rman #8 - May 13, 2009 at 12:46 pm

One thing about this couple that I find so interesting is that they have a big fan base and everybody is waiting to hear the news from them. We just get excited about William & Kate and I have a feeling that we will get the big news soon. I think we just have to face that there’s going to be lots of engagement speculation until St. James’s Palace, Buckingham Palace and Clarence House confirm the engagement. William & Kate knew this would happen when they made their appearence so we just have to wait. This wait will not be long though.

  • jj #9 - May 13, 2009 at 12:55 pm

Lets hope not Rman. I also questioned the “book makers” being a reliable source. I genuienly don’t think any announcement will come until the end of the year and any intense speculation before that will hopefully not send them running for cover again.

  • Rman #10 - May 13, 2009 at 1:19 pm

I don’t think the “bookmakers” are the reliable source but they said that they got the “well-informed” info from a source. I’m not totally believeing them but William & Kate are not dumb, they knew that the engagement stories would come up again when they made an appearence so I don’t think they will run for cover again. They are just keeping a low profile and controlling the press they get. I think this new team helped them realize that they can control the majority of the press they get just by laying low and make an appearence everynow and then. I really get the feeling though that next year we will finally get the wedding that we hoped for.

Sorry to be such a kill joy, but I truly believe that William will stand by his quote, and that is he will not marry until he turns 28/30.

But I am still relishing those pics taken at the Polo tournament. The fact that W & K are still obviously together, for me say’s a great deal.

They won’t be pushed, and are determined to go about things at their own pace, is enough for me. So let’s all enjoy it and respect their wishes.

  • Rman #12 - May 13, 2009 at 2:04 pm

I agree Hale they are simply doing things their way and William will be 28 next year so I really do think it will all come to full circle next year. Them keeping a low profile seem to really work for them and they gave us a good treat on Sunday by letting us know that everything is still going great for them and they are happy.

Poor Diana. Nearly twelve years now and Burrell still won’t let her memory rest. What a disgusting man!

  • Jade Falzon #14 - May 13, 2009 at 4:14 pm

Paul Burrell is a desperate, despicable little man! Where are the confidentiality agreements that employees are supposed to sign when they’re employed by the Royal Family?

  • Hale #15 - May 13, 2009 at 4:44 pm

Jade Falzon, with regards to the confidential agreements. Apparently, when Diana died, so did the confidentiality agreement with her.

I don’t know if it’s possible, but I think the agreement should be to the RF and not necessarily to the individual.

  • Rman #16 - May 13, 2009 at 5:39 pm

Here is the interview from paul.

  • Jade Falzon #17 - May 13, 2009 at 6:26 pm

Absolutely Hale. I agree that confidentiality agreement need to be more encompassing. Paul Burrell and his wife used to work for Prince Philip before they went to Diana. This happens often so for their protection, the Royals need to have a wider agreement and also possibly include deceased royals. Or perhaps they cannot come out with books, stories, etc. for a deceased royal until 20 or 30 years after their death. It’s just hurting the kids and Burrell is very cruel to do this to Harry and William time and time again.

  • Phoebe #18 - May 13, 2009 at 6:39 pm

    They are not enforceable.

  • Rman #19 - May 13, 2009 at 6:43 pm

I think he is trying to hit back at William & Harry because they won’t meet with him.

  • atx #20 - May 13, 2009 at 6:52 pm

William and Harry shouldn’t meet with them. Burrell has been spewing BS for years now. I think W and H are totally justified in their resentment towards that snake.

  • atx #21 - May 13, 2009 at 6:53 pm

    “Him” not “them,” sorry.

  • atx #22 - May 13, 2009 at 7:38 pm

This is fun! There is a ranking of Europe’s Most Eligible Young Royals on the Royal Round up. Why do they never include Andrea Casiraghi?
