I have to agree with Ingrid on this, not only the focus this year is on William’s training but this bad recession really put a damper on a wedding. We have been in recessions before but this year’s recession is just bad. But us walking around all depressed won’t help none. After the wedding next year, we will hopefully forget that we was in a recession.

I mean it’s just so odd that they would announce it before an engagement announcement or that she wasn’t there when he had his surgery. I guess that is the life of the Royal Families…. Puzzling

Hello! Sojourner, definitely Prince William is a very good-looking young man. And still may I repeat again that I can see a huge potential of his intellect, his leader position,which count so much for the future king. And altogether look at him when he attends some sort of events that have something to do with children or old people.You all just look at him – he is sincerely happy.I am sure he is a perfect example of modern royal conception. The main problem in my opinion is that we don’t give him a little chance to show his real ideas,character,and ability to cope,to deal with the press. Notice please that every time there are lots of “walls” in front of the prince – his girlfriend, those eternal questions about engagement or wedding or his duty to produce an heir etc. Is it normal to discuss all this and not to let this bright and strong man recommend himself as a person. Do we know him? No. So I am convinced that if people and therefore our press will try to change an imperative from william-the husband to william-the prince or william-the leader than our point of view will expance. Of course I want all of you to know that I am not a hater or a… uhm troll and have nothing against any woman in prince william’s life. Just wish him to realize best lines of character inherited from his parents and great ancestors by himself without any other image on the stage yet. I cannot accept and actually don’t want to see him as a mirror reflecting other images or opinions.Correct me

I think that’s because those William has to be “on” during his official outings. When he is out in his private capacity with or without girlfriend his body language for the most part screams press go away. I think he will never be comfortable with the paparazzi. Can’t say I blame him.

None of the royals are comfortable with the paparazzi, not even the Queen but they do their royal duties no matter what.
I know we often look at what the media writes about William & Kate and a possible engagement, some think the media is putting too much pressure on him to marry but I honestly think he don’t pay attention to public/media pressure and what we are seeing is guy that is ready to take that next step. If William wasn’t ready, he wouldn’t have included Kate in his family events, he would have kept the the relationship under wraps and Kate wouldn’t be near the royal scene. When he and The Queen brung Kate to the Order of the Garter service, that was a sign that the relationship is going the next level. Then came the royal weddings, it’s just simply progressing on it’s own and not by public/media pressure.
