I share Harry’s views on Piers Morgan.

I wonder if Kate uses a relaxer in her hair? Based on the new photo, her hair is very curly and it would take forever to get her hair straight as a board w/out any kinks! Why this is bothering me, I have no idea?

Hale, I feel sorry for Susan Boyle and Morgan does not look good saying she was fine while she was performing, no signs of any break downs. Not nice to say when she is in treatment so I agree w/you and Harry. I always agree w/you though. :)

  • Hale #3 - June 2, 2009 at 8:00 am

gracie, your to kind. Meanwhile, don’t worry about Susan Boyle, Harry was right, she has the fame, she’s on her way. As I understand it, they’ve heard of her in the US, Canada & Australia. I think that is extroadinary.

As for PMorgan, no it wasn’t nice, but…..well lets just say he always comes across to me as a bit sanctimonious and very pleased with himself.

Dare I say it, he’s one of those guys you just want to slap him.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1190288/Prince-Charles-attend-D-Day-65th-anniversary.html

After reading this piece, it is pretty plain to me why William and Kate elected not to attend a wedding in France.

I also am becoming increasingly convinced that the wedding or lack of it it has nothing to do with William and Kate and everything to do with strained relations between HM and Mr brown, who cannot seem to do anything right. Are we sure he is not a Bush?

  • Hale #5 - June 2, 2009 at 9:19 am

Lisa, I happen to think you make an excellent point.

Q & Brown, do not get on. Brown harbours republican sympathies. Also, he is arrogant, and an elitist.

Under New Labour, there has been a huge increase in perks for MP’s, only for it to blow up in their face.

Then the whole mishandlng of the D Day thing.

Brown’s ego knows no bounds, as did Blair’s before him. Whatsmore, Brown comes across as a bully.

If I may quote that link you provided.

”The Queen is thought to have been embarrassed when Gordon Brown said he had ‘done his duty’ by accepting an invitation for himself.”

I think the above quote tells you everything you wish to know about Brown. Please God, I hope he goes next year.

The Queen has had to tread very, very carefully for over ten years. Though the Queen has powers, she does not excercise them. Furthermore, she is not a confrontational person. The Queen, does endeavour to work with her prime minsters.

However, the Q, did clash with Blair over countryside, farmers etc. As I am sure she clashed with Brown over the same issues.

Again, I do not wish to sound mean spirited, but I truly hope there is no engagement announcement before the election next year. I say this because, I want nothing to divert attention from Brown, his government and the MP’s expenses scandal.

    It truly is despicable.

    Kate’s university dissertation:

    MIDDLETON, Catherine
‘Angels from Heaven’: Lewis Carroll’s Photographic Interpretation of Childhood

What happened to this girl? She did this in 2005. She could have center in photography or, if really interested in children’s literature, why not become a librarian? Nice job.

  • Rman #8 - June 2, 2009 at 11:13 am

I understand the the Queen & PM Brown may have some issues but I don’t want to sound like I don’t care about the issue because I really do think it’s sad that they may have some tension between them but I think they need to solve their issues quick so they can let William & Kate have the wedding that they deserve, if that’s the case. I just think it’s time for all this mumbo jumbo to end, they need to get with the program and think about the couple.

I do think the whole D day arrangement was mishandled like Hale said but I’m glad they are sending Charles and the Queen can go to the Epsom Derby, which I don’t think she wanted to miss.

  • Rman #9 - June 2, 2009 at 11:20 am

Now with this whole “Kate’s university dissertation” issue, if people would pay attention they would know that Kate now works in the field of photography by working at her family’s business Party Pieces. I find it so dumb that on the other royal forum they refuse to accept that Kate works.

  • Hale #10 - June 2, 2009 at 11:21 am

Rman, I to read the article in the Daily Ex, and frankly I didn’t believe it for one minute.

One thing no one can accuse the Q of is that she ever puts pleasure before duty.

The Q is all duty, duty, duty. Even I think to the detriment of her family.

My guess is, that journalist who wrote that article is someone who is friendly to Brown’s government and is attempting a meagre damage control limitation on behalf of Brown.

Brown has come out of this with egg on his face.

    Meanwhile, God Bless your President.

But trust you to dilute this whole issue down to W & K’s relationship.

    You are such sweetie.

  • Rman #13 - June 2, 2009 at 12:20 pm

I personally find making love in the countryside very sexy. It’s much more peaceful than the city. You can take long walks in the gardens, plan romantic picnic’s, enjoy country pursuits and just enjoy nature and become one with it.

LOL “rustic nookie” lol, that probably made the couple laugh a lot but if you notice W&K seem to be more in love than ever so the countryside is doing wonders for them. I think William did say that Highgrove is his favorite place to be as well. I bought Charles’s book “The Elements of Organic Gardening” and Charles has made that place into a paradise so no wonder William loves that place and I’m sure Kate loves it too.

  • Clover #14 - June 2, 2009 at 12:27 pm

    Rman,
Not only are you sweet but we can add to that a wild and sexy side as well. ; )

  • Redlady #15 - June 2, 2009 at 12:35 pm

Don’t the British MPs make you ashamed. They have all been claiming for their homes to be renovated and then Labour has the cheeck to tell HM The Queen she has to pay for Buckingham Palace to be renovated. How dare they. I hope they are voted out soon.

  • Rman #16 - June 2, 2009 at 1:09 pm

Clover lol. You know, I’m not afraid to let it be known that I’m the romantic type of guy. I think us young people need learn more about being romantic to our better halves. I believe W&K’s relationship is full of romance, I can just tell by their body language. “rustic nookie” lol, I’m still laughing at that.

Redlady I have to admitt, people have to stop spending money like it grows on tress or flows like water.

  • Hale #17 - June 2, 2009 at 1:29 pm

Redlady, I’m with you on that one. BP is owned by us the people. It needs renovating. Old buildings like that, the longer they leave it the more it will cost.

The worst thing I heard about MP’s expenses was yesterday, when a labour MP put £5 into the collection at a church service for Battle of Britain pilots, and then had the odasity to put in an expenses claim form for the £5.

In England, £5 will get you a double quarter pounder, fries and a drink and some loose change.

  • Clover #18 - June 2, 2009 at 1:37 pm

    Rman,
You have me blushing over here! I like it that you are into the romance and perhaps a little rustic activity. LOL!

  • rosettaresearch #42 - June 5, 2009 at 9:28 am

I had the weirdest dream last night.

I was at Highgrove today to assist on some event. Everyone who was there were big William and Kate supporters — so I can only assume it was all you guys. I don’t know what the event was but we were in and out of the house, running around doing stuff. Then there was a rumor that a big announcement was coming. We were all wondering what it was. We thought it might be bad news. All of sudden William comes out to a podium set up in the courtyard. He says “We all get a three day weekend. I am declaring a national holiday in honor of my engagment.” Kate comes out with this GINORMOUS opal ring. It is clearly her engagment ring, but it is on her index finger. Everyone is very happy and starts congratulating the couple.

The dream ended there. But, wow. I think I have been thinking about this engagment a tad too much.

  • Rman #43 - June 5, 2009 at 9:38 am

    Morning,

I would like Kate to go to the Garter Service but I don’t think she will. Last year the ceremony was special because Wiliam was getting invested into the order so Her Majesty and William invited Kate but I just don’t know about this year. I could be totally wrong and we could spot her with the Duchess of Cornwall, Countess of Wessex. I hope we see her there.

  • Lisa #44 - June 5, 2009 at 12:28 pm

Rman,I suppose it depends on how much they care or don’t care about the heightened speculation Kate’s presence at the event will bring. Since it seems like the spouses of the other GK do attend,I would imagine Kate would as well. She is William’s signifigant other, afterall.

  • mapleleaf #45 - June 5, 2009 at 1:23 pm

I don’t think Kate will be there. As Rman said, last year was a special occasion because Wills was being Invested as a Knight of the Garter. Kate is Wills’ girlfriend, and she was present for that special reason, to see him being Invested as the 1000th Knight.

This year is a normal year and Wills has already been Invested. Because it’s a normal year and nothing special is happening with regards to Wills, it’s unlikely that Kate would be present.

I do think it would be nice if Kate were to be present, but I don’t expect her to be there at all.

The Order of the Garter service takes place every year, and under regular circumstances only the members of the Royal Family stand outside the Chapel doors and watch from that special location.

I guess it’s possible that Kate could stand somewhere along the route like everyone else and wave when the Knights all walk past, but I don’t think she would do that, it would look kind of weird.

If an engagement had already been announced, then Kate would be there, and of course every year after that. But until that happens, she’ll probably not be there.

  • Rman #46 - June 5, 2009 at 4:30 pm

I don’t expect her to be there either but when it comes down to these two, you never know. We may just see her there in the same spot she stood in last year, we just have to wait and see. I hope we see her tomorrow though.

  • Me #47 - June 5, 2009 at 7:01 pm

    She will be there.

  • bluefire #48 - June 5, 2009 at 10:49 pm

    yes she will be there
