Hello,
I wish PW would make the decision to get out of the RAF for many reasons, safety being the biggest as I do believe that is the main obstacle to an official engagement and marriage but I understand why many don’t agree with that.
I’m not sure if he copied me or vice versa with his A8 (or S8) and do wonder if/when he may make another decision similar to mine but as I previously said he has to do something about his ‘job’ first.

Lisa I don’t think that the time lines match up. What it does show though is that they are able to come and go to a lot of things without the press knowing. If those two individuals hadn’t snapped a picture we would have been none the wiser. It also suggests possibly that they had a very good reason not to go to the other wedding?
I’m glad things appear to be going well and loved the pictures of them this weekend.
Things seem to be moving along nicely with Harry and the TV presenter… I wonder how that will pan out.

I don’t believe that PM or CM was ever the “mole”. However, I do think there was someone in PW’s and KM’s inner circle that was. I think they have distanced themselves from that someone, and made a concerted effort to fly under the radar, with the assistance of their respective families. On the other hand, maybe the agreement with the press is that they will lay off any kind of family gathering, including the Spencer family.

It was really nice to see W/K at this wedding and it totally confirms that they are flying under the radar and they are fine. I personally believe that have been able to keep alot of their whereabouts private including their living arrangements and that is the way it should be. People don’t need to know everything about them all the time.
Redlady,in regards to Harry and Chelsy, I don’t think they will reunite mainly because I don’t think we know all the facts regarding why they split to begin with. My personal opinion is that Chelsy, as lovely as she is, is not the right person to be in Harry’s world. It is far too restricting for her and I think that is why things came to an end. I also think her loose lipped friends did not help the situation one bit,either. JMO.

Hale, my first thought was that the two wedding were on the same weekend but reading posts elsewhere,it seems that the Boyd wedding was the weekend prior. Mandrakes article is dated 5/30 and it refers to the Boyd wedding as “last weekend”.
I would also not put too much weight on the quote in the Mandrake article because he contradicts himself at least twice.
William and Kate had their reasons for not attending and we will likely never know them, which is really ok,IMO.

this is like a circle, we see PW and KM together but without getting anywhere. I have seen them together for many yrs going to weddings, polo matches, parties, etc..etc..and nothing happens. They have been doing this for so long that I cant understand why people get surprised to see them together or why people ever think that this will lead to something else. I don’t comment much about Harry and this lady but I think they both should stop playing games and if they are going to date, then date and stop sneaking around like little rats. This is why the tabs make such a big deal about them is because all they do is sneak around. If they want privacy, then take fling to the countryside like people use to do back in the day. Rman,ITA. Harry needs to find himself a woman who can keep her mouth shut. I said the same thing yesterday. A fling is fine but for heavens sake,use some common sense and keep things quiet. I personally think anyone “dating” these senior royals should be required to shut down their facebook/myspace accounts. There is a price you pay to be in a high profile relationship. Kate Middleton obviously knows this and is able to accept it,but I think it takes alot of sacrifice which is partly why Harry stated in 2007 that he and Wills “come with alot of baggage”

Harry’s longterm relationship was of years of practically “lets not see each other, but on holidays”. Sorry, but its true. 3 1/2 years Harry in UK, Chelsy in SA.
When she came to the UK, they hardly saw each other either. Harry went once to Lead, and she was the one who had to come to London, just to be in a group of bubble girls + Harry (sometimes). These ocassions were few.
They grew out of it. Fedup Chelsy with Harry’s surprise decision with the AirCorps, November 2008, after the Africa Enduro.
So, even if they chated on skype, msn, facebook, myspace, IMO they hardly know each other.

Me, you make good points. I always wondered if the courtiers were behind Harry taking up flying. It’s an intensive course and Harry doesn’t come up to London as much as he used to.
Also, the flying course has curtailed his drinking. Interesting that this course should also coincide with Chelsy nearing the end of her course at Leeds.
I maintain that Chelsy never had the royal approval that Kate did. Therefore it was only a matter of time before the palace stepped in.
I still recall the pics from H & C’s last holiday. In one of them Chelsy looked as if she was going to cry. I always wondered if on that holiday she was trying to ascertain further commitments from Harry?

Now the DM is saying that Chelsy is desperate to see Harry.

Me,I think Kate is a girl who is easy-going enough to have put up with what she has over the last whatever years William has been in her life. I think she is a low maintenance girl who is OK with standing in the shadows and letting him shine. She wlil support him,raise the kids and do the outings as required but I don’t see Kate grabbing the spotlight by her own accord.I think this is largely why she has been so well received by the RF. What the press will try to make her is a whole different story.

With regards to Chelsy. Sorry, but I said it before and I will say it again. I never saw this girl as royal material.
Me, I agree with you. I do think that Harry did the gentlemanly thing and let Chelsy break it off. But I also thought that Chelsy was gambling here. She was counting on the fact that as Harry did the running to ask her back last time they broke up. He would do the same again.
The difference here is, the first time round Harry was on his way to Afghanistan. He desperately needed some emotional support. This was not the case next time they broke up.
As for Chelsy and the media. I am very skeptical about that. All Chelsy has to do is compalin to the PCC. If Chelsy wanted, she could even ask the palace to intervene on her behalf. I do believe they would step in for her.
The palace does not want an ex girlfriend blabbing to the press because she is being pressurised by them, nor do they want anyone releasing their personal account of their time with Harry and others who Chelsy may have rubbed shoulders with.
If Chelsy takes up her position with A & O, perhaps they will step in on her behalf.
But until then, I remain cynical about Chelsy’s motives here.
Lisa, I take a different view of Kate. I do not think her easy going, but rather someone who is tenacious. In her own way, Kate fights her corner.
I know, I know, the press have been spiteful to Kate, but she is standing her ground and maintaining a dignified silence to boot. You don’t here of her friends blabbing to the press.

I disagree with the first break up between Chelsy and Harry. I firmly believe that situation was manufactured so that less people would ask questions about why they had not been seen together and where he was. The press knew that he was going but slips from Chelsy’s friends happen all the time. If the façade was in place that they had broken up not many people would question it.
Although I believe you may be right that Chelsy isn’t cut out for royal life, I don’t think love is that practical. I believe she is very good for him but not for the Royal Family.
To be honest I thought that a re-branding of sorts was starting to take place with CD just before they split. The dresses got a lot longer there were positive stories being spun about her being a “breath of fresh air” for the Royal Family and she started to show up at important events.
Who broke up with who? who knows. I agree that he may always be attracted to the out going slightly brash sort of girl and that is going to pose a problem when it comes to falling in line with the RF. How he is going to manage his modern day “fergie” I don’t know..

jj, I agree with what you said about Chelsy’s attire. I happen to think at Peter Phillips wedding she wore the better outfit compared to Kate. I also think the first time Chelsy was photographed going to ‘Raffles’ (I think) following her split with Harry, she looked really smart in her outfit.
I put that down to age though. Our tastes come to be more defined as we get older.

I think that is harsh. You know Chelsy is who she is. Like Kate her only crime was to fall in love with a member of the royal family and having less than trustworthy friends who sold her out at the first chance to make a pound. Yes she appeared in a lot of photographs which by “royal” standards were embarrassing/inappropriate BUT is it inline with what most individuals are doing her age including Harry. Yes, it was kind of weird to see all of these people together (wasn’t Emilia d’Whatshername an ex-GF of PW?) but just as someone pointed out with the Brother Charles/Camilla/Andrew PB/Sister Anne aka the Sloppy Seconds Crew, it is a rather incestuous bunch. Alsgal supposes that, much like Alsgal sitting on her Forest Green Port-O-Potty all day, that these people don’t have that much to do. So, they share bodily fluids and alcohol whilst partying for A Really Good Cause.
At least the Queen and Anne are the sorts Alsgal can look up to and admire from afar — some of these others, not so sure.

A friend did go, not royal related. Guess everyone learns a lesson or two from public charity – rollerdisco anyone. In fact for example, anyone may carry out a charity in their name, check out their website, just follow the rules and there you go.
Be carefull and wise, anonymous donations for the bros and Kate. Very seeked by the media, so they DO have to be picky and careful where to go and show up.
