Kate Middleton insists she’s “not bothered” that Prince William has not proposed despite their seven-year relationship – but she’s clearly getting used to royal life.
For the 27-year-old, who’s been “mucking in” at her parents’ mail-order depot Party Pieces, has launched the “make your own throne”. The online business aims the product at children aged two and up, saying parents could “paint and decorate a special throne for the birthday girl or boy”.
We can’t help but wonder if Kate, in anticipation of one day being Queen, tested it herself as the pitch says: “Great for role play and you can also use it as furniture in your bedroom.” (via Daily Express)

Nice to see them out & about having fun. Nice to also see Charles going to support his sons. Shame they lost when their father was there. Who is Tom Iskip? He was being very friendly. Regardless great pics & I’m glad they are enjoying polo season.

Thanks for the pictures. So Kate’s in London now. She doesn’t looked more tanned than others. If she was in Mustique (like Rebecca English told us), she should have a tan.
I’m actually beginning to wonder if this story is true about Kate going on holiday.
A tan? I slather myself with 70 SPF sunblock whenever I’m going to be in the sun on a beach for any extended period, and I try to cover up when I’m not in the water. A tan I do not want. If you really want to look tan, you can use upscale self-tanning products or visit a spray-on tanning salon. Anyone who actually uses the sun to tan these days is an idiot. It ruins your skin and can lead to skin cancer.
A few minutes of sun exposure each day will provide you with necessary Vitamin D, but you can also take supplements. Don’t try to get a tan. Believe me. I hope that Ms. Middleton, who has a nice, medium-olive complexion, understands this.
Nasty story about KMs uncle. There’s gotta be one in every family I suppose… But he seems to be worth a million (types of trouble).

I just watched that video and now my head hurts. My guess her uncle is going to get busted, which is good. Carole & Kate should go to his house and knock his head right off his shoulders.

There were a couple of interesting tidbits though. Like, there being a possible engagement announcement later this year, and Kate being invited shooting with the RF one Christmas. I wonder if any of that is true?
It’s sad that people try to take down Kate for being William’s girlfriend and I see on the other royal forum that they are very happy that an artical like this came out.
I guess her uncle ruined the surprise announcement, if that’s true. This has nothing to do with Kate.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the British press cover this story especially with the Phone Hacking scandal currently playing itself out…
Ehhh. Look at all the stories that came out about Autumn Kelly’s family before the wedding. The Royal family is smart enough to separate the relatives from the prospect.

Clover I would hope not. Even though this has got nothing to do with Kate, people will try to bring this down on her. She goes through so much but she is never knocked down.

This would not be the first scandal to follow someone in the BRF. If Charles married Camilla after all that happened between Charles, Diana and Camilla then this incident should not change Prince William’s plans with Kate in any way.
The Charles and Camilla scandal was a million times worse then this IMO and how did that end for Camilla? In a wedding and possible the future Queen of England. Not a bad outcome.
This is very minor and I predict will not have an impact on Kate and William’s future.

No one not even KM is responsible for the actions of a family member. That man is the only one accountable. I am sure KM and PW won’t be visiting him again. He will probably be in jail. We all have this type of person in our family.

Her attackers always want to say how high and mighty her family acts and what climbers they are — well I’m glad to see they have not shunned her mother’s brother. Flaws and all. I don’t see a breath of fresh air in the future KING OF ENGLAND, who repeatedly broke his wedding vows and carried his girlfriend in the trunk of his car to their trysts. I can’t see a breath of fresh air to the Queen’s sister, who loved to party, with many partners. Nor did I see a breath of fresh air in a joint smoking, brown shirt swastika wearing SECOND IN LINE TO THE THRONE. I don’t care how many babies he kisses or ribbons he cuts.
Give me a break. I rather think Kate Middleton now fits into that family she’s about to marry into, and the social circles she’s now a part of, really well, now that it has been exposed that her Brady Bunch immediate family, very much like the family she is about to marry into, does contain a bit of dysfunction.

I thought that it was interesting to see that Kate was at the polo match and not in Mustique.I was glad to see her there. About her uncle, it is rediculous. How can Kate be held responsible for her Uncle’s actions? The people who don’t like Kate will probably never like her, no matter what she does. I would hope that the RF would stand behind her. There are many people who would like to see them together. Many of those people are at the BRW. I am hopint that William and Kate announce soon. It would put a lot of negative feelings in a new light.

Guys I don’t think William or any member of the royal family will blame Kate for her uncles actions. They probably didn’t know what he was up to and this is a major shock for them. Yeah the N-sers will try to use this aganist Kate and try to trash her entire family becuase what her uncle did but it will not hurt the couple.
I feel sorry for Carole because I’m sure she didn’t know that her brother was involved in something horrible like this. I don’t think William & Kate knew either. This shall pass.

Guest…I think I love you. Thank you for telling it like it is. The RF has plenty of scandal in their backyard, so it would be quite hypocritical for them to snub their nose at Kate. I remember when those article came out about Chelsy’s father. People were tripping over themselves trying to explain that she was not responsible for her father’s actions. Now some of those same people are claiming that Kate is a disgrace because of her uncle. Why the double standard?
There is no doubt that Kate’s uncle is sleazy, but that has no bearing on Kate. She wasn’t the one using drugs, and paying for hookers.
I highly doubt the royals would do anything like that. Over the past seven years they have gotton to know Kate and her family. They will not pay attention to this. This guy will not likely get an invitation to the wedding, that will be their way of snubbing him.
I think Prince Charles showed his support for Kate attending a charity Polo game yesterday.
They will always stand by Kate.

The royal family have no right to act ‘offended’ over this article considering the vast majority of their family is made up of black sheep. The royals are built on a legacy of murder…a little more serious than drug dealing.
Lets not forget that yesterday Kate was openly photographed with Prince Charles, Camilla, William, Harry and the ‘inner circle’…to me that was an act of solidarity towards Kate on the eve of the ‘scandal’.
It’s pretty clear to me Kate has full support from everyone. The only people who are hoping for Kate’s downfall from this ‘scandal’ are the evil haters who have no doubt spammed the NOTW with 20 different comments today!

The only thing I’m concerned about in this ’scandal’ is the story Kate’s uncle told about William smashing glass ornaments in a guests house during a game of kick-about. How can Will be so careless in a guests house?! If I had been Kate’s uncle, Will would have been in for a world of trouble…I don’t care if he’s royalty! You don’t smash other peoples belongings!

The Middletons are supposed to go into hiding to prove to YOU that they are not benefitting from their royal connection? Have you seen the pictures of well-connected HANGERS-ON that William and Harry surround themselves with? Please. Even his closests friends benefit from their association with William/Harry. The premise of your criticism is ridiculous and quite frankly just sounds like idle bitterness and jealousy.
There is nothing wrong with being middle class. It’s better than twisted, snobbish, useless, aristocrats and royalty who do and have done things that would make Kate’s Uncle blush.
I am not a Charles and Camilla hater, I am happy that they have finally found peace with each other. But for Charles, the FUTURE KING OF ENGLAND, to stand before God at the alter on his wedding day and make a MOCKERY of his wedding vows to an innocent, 19-year old GIRL, then SMUGGLE HIS MISTRESS IN THE TRUNK OF HIS CAR to a tryst are not some of his most shining moments.
Really, people need to lay off a young woman who has publicly conducted herself with grace during her courtship with William. Kate is no more responsible for or should be looked down upon for the conduct of her uncle than William should be held UNSUITABLE FOR THE THRONE based on his father’s conduct during his first marriage.
