Prince William misses the bus with Princess Madeleine – Telegraph
William was certainly not alone in being impressed by the 27-year-old princess’s beauty, but now, alas, she is taken. Sweden’s royal palace announced yesterday that she was engaged to Jonas Bergstroem, a 30-year-old lawyer whom she had been dating for seven years…

Maternal Zara keeps her young godson happy – Hello!
While motherhood hasn’t beckoned yet, the 28-year-old royal is clearly something of a natural when it comes to keeping children entertained. In between competing at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park at the weekend, Zara squeezed in time to play around with her three-year-old godson Ted Maude…

Pity poor Beatrice for being a princess – Telegraph
On Saturday, one of the unluckiest people in Britain celebrated her 21st birthday. On the face of it, she is in a position many of us would envy. Although her parents are divorced, they are still close. Moreover, she has lived a life of luxury, hob-nobbing with the rich and famous, even having her student flat done up – at the taxpayer’s expense – at a cost of £256,000…

£96-a-week student digs for Princess Eugenie – Daily Mail
Her family home is a 775-room palace. But Princess Eugenie has opted for something more modest when she embarks on life as a student at Newcastle University next month. The Queen’s granddaughter has taken up a place in a £96-a-week hall of residence…

Aside from the fact that Princess Madeleine and Prince William barely knew each other, if at all, she spent some time in London and quickly left, because she was appalled by the behavior of the British paparazzi. I can hardly blame the woman.

The only reasons that she was touted as a possible bride for William were that she was an age peer who studied Art History at university, Protestant, and quite pretty. Oh, and evidently, she likes horses. 300 years ago, a marriage might well have been arranged when the two were teenagers (before disease and complicated childbirth could carry one or both of them off), but in this day and age, royal marriages are generally handled in a rather more humane manner. The “Madeleine-William” match was merely a tabloid invention, which is the case with most comments on royal lives.

I do wish the Princess and her fiance the best, not that they care. We are eager to comment on the lives of royals, but of course, our opinions mean nothing to them. Nor should they. We don’t know them, and their lives are their own, as we want our own lives to be.

I tend to agree with Hale.

I don’t believe a reunion between Harry and Chelsy is in the cards. IF they were meeting secretly, I’m sure we would have seen proof by now. Perhaps this is wishful thinking on Chelsy’s part – or that of her friends. ;)

Just getting back home and I came across this documentary by Andrew Morton called The Queen-Behind the Mask. It was made back in 2000 but I think this is the most interesting documentary I have ever seen. Andrew goes on this fascinating journey to find out who the Queen really is, and the doc really leave you asking questions.

    Here is the doc:

It left me asking questions about the future of the Monarchy. If you guys are interested, do take a look at this doc.

Fiametta you are right, the “Madeleine-William” idea was created by the tabs.

The royals really do get on with their lives despite what we think. I just hope that this William & kate engagement comes soon.

You are welcome Clover. I have another royal documentary to post up but I will do that tomorrow after work.

For those of you that are looking forward to the official biography of the late Queen Mother by William Shawcross, here is your chance to visit St.James’s Palace and Clarence House. There will be two events to mark the release of the book, a talk in the Throne Room of St. James’s Palace and then a tour of the ground floors of Clarence House.

    Here is the info:

If I was in London at that time, I would go to this event.

“Buckingham Palace said it was impossible for the Queen to attend all the invitations she receives”

I had a giggle with this comment.

For the next six years it’s going to be the 70th anniversary of every single event of the Second World War, right up to 2015. And even then there’s the NHS, Korea and so on. We’ll have to be a bit selective, or half the Royal Family might as well set up camp in St Paul’s and the other half in Westminster Abbey, since that’s where they’ll be pretty much all the time if they commemorate everything.

Surely sending a minor royal would also be considered a snub regarding the historical importance of the event.

I’m very disappointed none of the senior royals are attending. Pull your socks up!

The main thing is a member of the RF should go. Doesn’t matter if they are minor or not. About time Bea and Eugenie did something, after all their protection is paid for by the tax payer.

Irregardless of how many commemorative events there are in the next six years, a royal should go.

So what are Ann, Charles, Camilla, Andrew, Edward, Sophie, Alexandria, D&D of G, D&D of K and Michael doing that is more important than WWII memorial events? Surely one of them can go.

Maybe all their social secretaries need to get together and do a little comparision of schedules and planning…..

At this stage, anyone who does go, with perhaps the exception of the Queen herself, will find their presence diminished/tarnished.

I guess I am willing to give the Queen, who is always so above reproach in her behavior, the benefit of the doubt in this one. And everyone makes mistakes, even the Queen. ;-)

Thanks for the videos Hale and Rman.

I can’t believe the hysteria surrounding the birth of Prince Harry, especially the cheer from the awaiting media/public. I wonder if Prince William’s future children will cause a similar reaction? I don’t think so…times have changed in such a short period of time. It’s scary.

I love the video of Lauren Conrad!! Nice to see she’s tip top on her royal gossip! Heehee. Now I wonder how long it will take before the ‘haters’ start posting comments on that video? I slightly hope they do as it would bring their ignorance to a global level and may be the wake up call some of them need to come back down to reality.

It was interesting to me that what did they say, 82 percent of the audience knew aboaut Kate. That shows that more people follow Prince William and Kate than just the people who are a part of forums. I would not count on any of the Kate “haters” to change their view right now. The only way some of them willl change is when she and William marry. Then she will prove to the people about what kind of wife she will make. There will always be people who do not like her. What does surprise me is the nasty comments that they make. It is almost like they find happiness with someone else’s misery. I am not saying everyone who doesn’t like Kate feels this way. A lot of people are skeptical. They need to see exactly what she will do. It is my guess that she will do great for William and for Great Britain. I hope everyone is willing to give her a chance.

kat I agree, that’s just one of the reasons why they are so hard on Kate, they want to see what she can do now but they don’t understand that can’t happen until she is royal. They have an image of what a future princess and Queen should be like and in their minds Kate is not fitting that image, so they rip her apart.

Kate just need the chance to show people what she can do and how she will bring a breath of fresh air into the monarchy. Not everyone will like her but many of them will change their feelings once they see her in action. Their impatience is getting the best of them.

JJ Kate practices yoga, which in turn have various hand gesture postures.

The hand gesture which Kate Middleton appears in the 3 getty pictures are middle finger and thumb touching, which in yoga means gesture of great compassion.

You may also notice she is wearing a gold band in her wedding finger. Picture No. #89786906 and #89786896

Other than JJ, in general and to not make it complex of yoga comprehension, the non verbal communication for the yogist (yoga comes from India – buddhism) is a powerful communication better than spoken words, specially if the other person (s) know what the other hand gesture communication is expressing.

Remember the Queen uses her bag to express exactly what she wants or feels to do…
