Kate Middleton to quit family firm for Photography Career?
The Daily Mail reckons Kate Middleton is ready to chuck in her Party Pieces job to persue a career in photography. The paper claims she will head to New York in January to work with Count Nikolai von Bismarck…
A friend of 27-year-old Kate said she had ‘loved’ working at her parents’ firm, Party Pieces, which sells children’s party goods over the internet but is now looking for a different challenge.
‘Kate wants to make her favourite hobby, photography, her full-time career,’ says the friend. ‘She would like to be taken more seriously. …She needs a new challenge – she wants to do more with her photography than take pictures of children in party hats.’
‘Nikolai initially introduced Kate to the idea of working with Testino but there was not time in either diary to accommodate it. With his help, she hopes to get settled in photography in time for an engagement announcement with Prince William around Easter.’

Kate is indeed fortunate. While the rest of us struggle to balance work, school, and family while pursuing our dream career, Kate gets handed every opportunity to try out a new career each month if it suits her. Not only that, but she becomes an apprentice to notable names right off the bat. Must be nice.

One would wish the rehashed story to be true for once.

How many times have we heard this story. How tedious.

Why do people keep believing this drivel and then react as if it’s true?
Hale is right, it’s completely tedious. Katie Nicholl says this every single year, and it never comes true.

It’s tabloid stories like this, is what make people think Kate is workshy. They believe what KN writes and if they don’t see Kate following through with the job, they come down hard on her.

I never believe anything published in the Daily Mail, which pretends not to be a tacky tabloid but is. We’ve heard plenty of tales regarding Ms. Middleton’s plans to head off to New York to work with Mario Testino or Anna Wintour, and they proved to be untrue.
The U.K. press has always been desperate when they can’t get scandalous stories. Their solution is to make up stories about royals (sourcing them to anonymous “friends” and “palace personnel”), but as one editor once admitted, “We invent stories all the time. They don’t have to be true; they just have to be plausible.”
No one here, I hope, thinks that any seriously good friends of Prince William and Ms. Middleton, or any serious, professional personnel at Buck House or CH, are talking to tabloid reporters. Of course they’re not.

Hmmm… Funny how the Lady Nats and the photography stories came out right after Kate and William got good press after they attended the Van Cutsem wedding. “Agenda,” anyone?
