Royal Marriage proposal hinges on Gold Medal Win

Zara & Mike

This is Gloucestershire reports that rugby star Mike Tindall could propose to Zara Phillips after the 2012 Olympics – as long as she wins a gold medal!

The Queen’s granddaughter and world champion eventer has set her sights on Olympic gold in London in three years time. And if she does won the coveted medal then Mike has said he’ll pop the question.

The news was revealed by former England rugby player Will Greenwood. Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Will says it was Mike who was talking passionately about horses rather than Zara.

“I am surprised when he talks of ‘flying changes’, ‘rein backs’, the four-star horses, and the promise that an Olympic gold medal might, if she’s lucky, be exchanged for a wedding ring”, he says.

I’m not criticizing their choices because they are just that — THEIR choices — but I don’t understand why they can’t get married. Putting off having children is one thing if you have a goal like this — and more power to her– but they’re already living together and I pressume they won’t do royal engagements anyway.

On the other hand, it could just be a slow news day where the royals are concerned. Lol!!

I find this story a bit funny. If Mike said that, he was probably joking.

You’re probably right, Rman… :) Like I said, it must be a slow royal news day.

They’ve been in a relationship for 6 years. They started dating in 2003, just before William and Kate started dating.
