Her makeup is usually understated and attractive. The makeup she is wearing in this picture is overdone and makes her look tarty.

Women wear eyeshadow and lipstick everyday, but because it’s Kate Middleton, then she looks ‘tarty’?

Please spare us the nasty comments crap, thank you very much. Obviously the woman just looks made up, like many other women with makeup. If she had red blotches of blush on either side of her face, and 2 or 3 different colours of eyeshadow with some extremely heavy foundation that made her face look a totally different colour than her neck, then the ‘tarty’ comment would make sense.

But as Kate isn’t wearing all that junk, and she has on normal sort of makeup – eyeshadow, liner, mascara, lipstick – the ‘tarty’ comment just sounds mean and uncalled for.

I think she’s hiding her face because of the makeup she is wearing. Never seen a picture of her with green eye shadow and red lipstick. She looks a little tarty. Perhaps the red dress is part of a costume?

Well, first of all, thank you Britt and Dagsi. I was unaware of that whole ‘lets-destroy-Kate’ situation, because there are a lot of comments on her of different persons (I thought). Now I have even more respect for her! She is a very strong woman, you must be standing very strong in your shoes (dutch expression don’t now if you use the same) to stand all this. I couldn’t. She is damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t.

sometimes a few things bother us about something and then it is hard to see
anything nice about the person…

even a dinner out with boyfriend isn’t great

I think that her dress was demure, i quite liked it, she looks incredibly thin though

and i wondered about the hiding of her face..

why she does it sometimes and not others…
