It may sound dramatic, but I seriously don't take it lightly that a lot of people have sacrificed their lives so that people can state their comparatively petty opinions in public forum such as this. I thank my lucky stars that even those with whom I disagree have freedom of speech, because threatening someone else's freedom of speech is the same as threatening your own.

There are definitely some Kate supporters who come across as being incredibly defensive, lashing out, at the drop of the hat, at anyone whose views they consider to be very foreign to their own. I think the whole point of a forum is for people to surmise, and everyone does it, including Kate supporters. Being critical of Kate or the Middletons is not synonymous with hatred.

Actually, it's ironic, that some people accuse others of being hateful, and are hateful themselves in the process!

There seems to be some sort of misconception and paranoia that everyday people sitting alone at their computers are part of some sort of organized network of people conspiring to discredit Kate and her family. While that may be the case at major publishers, in reality, many of the people who come here and are treated like "hateful" posters are everyday people who have a right to their own opinions, and who are often expressing opinions that are probably somewhat widespread in society, and maybe that is the source of agitation among Kate supporters. I think talk about "hate" campaigns may just be a convenient, blanket device used to run people off for personal reasons.

To those people who indescriminately point fingers at people and say that they "hate" Kate Middleton or are trying to trash the Middletons, have you never yourself been critical of a person you've seen in the media, such as a Politician, Movie Star, an everyday person enjoying 15 minutes of fame. If you say you never have, I don't believe you.

And if you were critical, was it because you hated a person with whom you had no personal connection? Probably not.

In many cases, for a Kate supporter on this website to criticize someone for being too extreme, is the pot calling the kettle black IMO.

i half-agree with WTF? on post #70.
not about kate doing something wrong. she is simply being william's loyal companion and she hasn't harmed anyone so no, she's not doing anything bad.

but kate supporters like myself should let the neutrals and people who don't support kate(and i'm not talking about ANTI-kates. i'm talking about the non-kate-supporters. not kate HATERS. i'm not making much sense but i don't know how to explain this.) have their own say.

i've seen quite a bit of "mannered bullying" in BRW and frankly that's quite unfair. we all seem to be assuming that if one does not support kate then he or she is a kate-hater. and sometimes that's really not the case. i know because i used to strongly think that way. if someone makes an inappropriate and judgment al comment about kate then just simply ignore it. they are clearly jealous and have nothing better to do with their lives than criticise someone else's life. but if they aren't being disrespectful, then we shouldn't shoot down anyone's comments/opinions.

just my thoughts.

And while we are on the subject of genetics, I will bring up the one about history, in which for many centuries British monarchs did not marry aristos.

Long live the rabble! Three cheers for the prince and the plebe!

oh, lord, you see? lost my script already...

People should be more familiar with the law, common and otherwise. Nowhere in UK or US legal precedent writ large does it state that you can say whatever you want whenever you want. Nowhere. Because regulation is what laws are about.

And if you are using BRW as your soapbox, don't be surprised when other users do not agree with your views and say so clearly.

Because no matter how loud, how often, and how offensively you yell, people still have the option to disagree or ignore your comments.

Peace.

The dress Pippa wore to the Starlight charity event looks like the dress KM wore to the "out of Africa' play last year. I wonder if it's the same dress?

goals

based on your post - It’s not anyone’s fault because Kate wasted her years waiting with no engagement still and she’s almost 30 - are you saying all women who wait to marry until they are 30 have wasted those years?

just wondering....
