Prince William tipped to tour Australia & New Zealand
The Age reports that Prince William could make his first official tour to Australia and New Zealand as early as January next year…
The second in line to the throne is expected to take the Queen’s place on a trip to Australia and possibly New Zealand as the British monarch scales back her overseas travel, The Mail on Sunday reported.
A senior aide told the newspaper: “The Duke is 88 and he and the Queen have decided that travelling long-haul is too much for them. It is hard work and the thought is that the younger royals should be carrying out more duties.”
A source at the prince’s Clarence House office said: “William sees it as an honour to be asked to carry out an official duty on behalf of the Queen.
He sees himself as stepping up to his role as shadow King. He has put off official visits for long enough and is ready to embrace his duty.”

I don’t get why everytime of of their friends gets engaged or married,the press makes it seem like it put pressure on W/K to do the same. Their situation is very unique and can’t really be compared to others.

Guys I just came across a video on YouTube of Tina Brown talking about Diana back in 07. She goes on to mention Kate and say that William was going to make Kate a presenter at the Concert for Diana but she says the Queen put her foot down because she thought Kate would get too much media attention.

She talks about Kate at 6:48. I guess that is why they sat apart at the concert, too much attention on them would have overshadowed the event. Tell me what you guys think of that.

I don’t buy the story. I don’t see how Tina Brown would know and any sources with real access to the RF wouldn’t touch her with a 10-foot pole.

I really don’t know what Tina said is true. These people like to tell stories that they got from a bunch of unnamed sources.
I did agree with some things she said about Diana and it’s true that not many people would like to to be in Kate’s position but I really don’t know about Kate being a presenter.
I just think they sat apart at the concert because they just didn’t want too much attention on them at the time. They were probably still working things out and just trying to get back on track.

I get the feelin with Tina it is all about Tina and not about anyone else
She misses alot about Diana in her description
she gets some of it right …
