Really ?, I agree that William is concerned about the media frenzy, and with good reason, but I believe the rest of the royals are too. Diana eclipsed them and they fear that happening again…especially Charles, IMO. But it WILL happen.

The idea of bringing her to the forefront before they are engaged is a tricky one, IMO. It would cause a whole new wave of “he won’t commit,” “she’s waiting/hanging on” commentary. In addition, William and the RF could be criticized for giving her a “test run” and that wouldn’t be good for ANY of the individuals involved. Finally, giving her a more public role without the full backing and protection of the royal machine isn’t an ideal situation for her.

I think it’s time to make it official and I don’t see why William would have to finish his military commitments before they marry. If she lives with him as an officer’s wife, and they both do a limited number of royal engagements, it might be an ideal start to a very structured and demanding royal routine.

i dont think it is bp or ch that are hopint not to have another media frenzy i think it is Wills

I think he also gets his main advice from his father which in someways is good and someways is very bad

If BP or CH hopes not to have another media frenzy on their hands once William gets engaged/married, they are mistaken. It is inevitable. The best they can do is come to terms with it and recognize it for the asset it can be for the monarchy. Hopefully they learned that particular lesson.

I really think that PW and Jecca are just very good friends.

PW hase shown a pattern of keeping friends once they prove that they are trustworthy and will not speak to the press. I think this is the case with Jecca, she has been loyal and does not speak to the press, two qualities he values.

I don’t think that there is a good story here, although the media may sniff around it.

IMO, there is no smoke or fire here.

I agree Ked, we just have to wait and see what next year will bring us. I’m sure at this point all is not revealed to us yet.
