Here’s another bad artical on Sarah.
http://tinyurl.com/yjkam3t
I truly think the British media will continue to dog this woman until the day she dies. Despite her financial problems, Sarah continues to devote herself to her charity work and she truly make a difference in peoples lives. I find it incredibly sad that people pay little to no attention to her charitable work, it seems like people just want to celebrate her mistakes and they truly enjoy rubbing her mistakes in her face.
I just find it all sad but that lady is a fighter and she will recover from her current problems.
I wish you the best Sarah.
October 14th, 2009 22:43
They are very mean to Sarah! She should have changed her name, gone into hiding, or done something like a witness protection program. It must be horrible to leave with that level of bad press forever!
October 14th, 2009 22:44
ETA: to live with that level of bad press forever!

Rman I 100% agree with your post. You can’t blame the woman for wanting to be in the USA. It seems Americans are much more willing to cut Sarah, DoY, some slack, not for her indescetions, but for the way she has battled back from them. I, for one, hope that Sarah will see better days ahead & wish a very happy 50th!
October 15th, 2009 11:11
The article certainly has an “ouch” factor to it. I firmly believe that Sarah has a good heart and her intentions are good, however, quite often her own words/actions undermine her. In that sense, I don’t think she has learned from her mistakes. Just my two cents…

Evening Folks,
I came across the Evening Standards artical on Elizabeth & Philip’s night out.
http://tinyurl.com/yfoqc3n
It’s good to see that they can still go out without much fuss. I guess I would be shocked too, just imagine the Queen suddenly sitting next to you.
October 15th, 2009 18:33
Thanks, Rman. Nice to know they can “get out a bit.” Lol.

RE: William’s gaffe.
I don’t get why that was such an offensive thing for him to do – he probably had shaken so many people’s hands that he just didn’t think before he said it. It wasn’t like he said something awful about the military, he just made a mistake. Poor William – he can’t seem to catch a break no matter how hard he tries.
October 16th, 2009 11:41
AJ I guess that tells us that the royal news is pretty slow.
I came across this little artical on the Queen finding this little boys ballon at Windsor.
http://tinyurl.com/ygz6fmq
It goes to prove that the Queen is not only nice but very down to earth. I would like to meet this lady in person (lol) because I’m always hearing such nice things about her.

Is there some reason why Beatrice always has her mouth hanging open in every photo? She must know her photo is being taken, and her mouth always hanging open makes her look a little less than intelligent, whether that it is the actual case or not.

Speaking of Bea, this article was in yesterday’s DM. I guess we know where Bea gets her big eyes from:

That’s a nice story about the little boy and the balloon.

Phoebe I think Beatrice has some features of Queen Victoria.
October 16th, 2009 19:08
Phoebe and Rman that is exactly what I thought too!
Re Fergie’s birthday
loved her outfit
loved that euginie and beatrice showed up together
loved there outfits too
thought they were very appropriate for your mom’s party…

this is from katie’ nichols blog on the dm
“Lisa B and her property developer husband Anton dropped in – keep an eye on my column for news on that handsome duo! The Middleton siblings, Pippa and James also turned up for the night. James who runs his own company called Cake Kit was busily eyeing up the amazing spread of miniature desserts and Pippa looked lovely in a yellow dress that wasn’t Issa – her and Kate’s favourite designer. ‘It’s old, actually I have no idea who it’s by, I found it in the back of my wardrobe,’ Pippa, who was on fabulous form told me. The pair were happy and relaxed as they mingled with the A list guests and clearly seemed to be enjoying themselves together with Prince William and Harry’s best friend Guy Pelly and Kitts nightclub owner Charlie Gilkes.”
phoebe you pointed out certain people could be said were there or photos taken for legal purposes
why would they all be there but kate ?
This strikes me as very odd
and also pippa has said she doesn’t know what she is wearing???? funny isn’t it???? she seems like a girl who wouldn’t pull the first thing out of her closet ?
October 16th, 2009 19:56
Pippa was probably doing her best to blow off Katie Nicholl without being rude. She is a better woman then I who would have told KN to go buzz off….
Kate would probably not be caught dead at that party, although some say she may have been there,I doubt it. I still think she is residing wherever Wills is…JMO. I also kind of think that this sort of party is one that Pippa and James might just as well stayed away from unless they were employed in some manner…
October 16th, 2009 20:20
Kate usually don’t attend these kind of parties. She make very rare appearences.
October 16th, 2009 21:18
I don’t think KM was there. There is no reason why she shouldn’t be mentioned if Pippa and James were. Maybe some more senior royals, who might not want to be seen favoring one magazine over others. If KN was in fact present and we haven’t heard of royals who don’t want their names mentioned, then I think they were forced to sign agreements in return for access.
October 16th, 2009 22:32
yeah i agree on you phoebe in fact their are magazines that km in favor with tatler who don’t want to put out their name to be more popular
October 17th, 2009 04:55
Pippa may have made those comments and that choice of dress due to the staggering price ot the Issa dress she wore to the Starlight event which was revealed in Hello! I think… The Middletons seem to be an impossible position. They must constantly reflect and wonder of their actions ‘will this/could attract negative media attention..’
October 17th, 2009 10:23
true shivs
very true
how much did Hello! said the dress was?
October 17th, 2009 11:23
1500 pounds. But it never said how much Pippa paid for the dress she wore. There is a difference.
October 17th, 2009 11:24
Morning All,
True Shivs but I really didn’t see the point of anyone making a big deal about Pippa’s dress at the Starlight event because we don’t know if she actually paid for that dress. Pippa could have been modeling the dress for a designer. If I remember correctly, the press just mentioned to price of the dress but did not say if she actually bought the dress.
I do think some of the negative attention the Middletons receives is due to people jumping to the wrong conclusions.
October 17th, 2009 11:26
Exactement!
October 17th, 2009 11:29
That’s right Phoebe, we have to be careful when we read these articals because the press mentioned how much the dress was that Pippa was wearing but never mentioned if she actually paid for the dress or paid the actual price.
October 17th, 2009 12:25
I agree. I feel Pippa should be able to wear and spend as she pleases. Or model if that is the case. My point was that they may feel paranoid about such things which is an unenviable position to be in. I wonder has the family of any previous royal girlfriend ever been under the scrutiny the Middletons are under? The media have an awful lot to answer for in my opinion.
October 17th, 2009 12:27
Also, where is Hale? I really miss her posts. (I don’t always write but read the comments on this site most days!
October 17th, 2009 14:22
i think other famlies were minor
i thnk to some extent the middletons are unprotected because they have no idea what they are dealing with
i also think they do like to be out and about and that lays them out for a stoning
you didn’t see sophie’s parents at a club for example
October 17th, 2009 14:23
thanks phoebe
1500 is alot
i think the dress was lovely
i think pippa could make a career for herself in the public eye even if her sister didn’t marry into the royal family
she seems a go getter to me
October 17th, 2009 14:43
I don’t know Shivs, there had been some down talk about Diana’s father & mother because of the bitter custody battle between them in the early 70’s and people looked down on Sophie’s father because he was a retired tyre salesman but I never really seen such horrible attitudes towards a royal girlfriend’s family.
I know a lot of people got all bent out of shape when the press pinpointed the issue of snobbery towards the Middletons but it was the truth. Also there has been soo many silly tabloid articals about this family that it really did influence the way people think about them.
We really like to avoid this topic because is produces horrible arguments on this site and other sites but I do believe a great deal of misunderstandings is partly the blame for the high level of scrutiny the Middletons has been under.
October 17th, 2009 14:47
“you didn’t see sophie’s parents at a club”
That’s true really? but that’s because her parents were older and retired people.
October 17th, 2009 15:02
I think after all this time the Middletons know what they are dealing with. I think during these years that Kate has been in a relationship with William, the Middletons has been dealing with this attention one day at a time. I also think William gives them the comfort they need from time to time.
October 17th, 2009 15:17
There’s no rehearsal for the role Kate or her family are in and I think they’ve all done a commendable job.
October 17th, 2009 17:17
i dont; think it has been a commendable job
just my opinion
they could have been alot ‘quieter’
they seem to get it a bit more now
October 17th, 2009 17:52
Well I think they have done a very good job too. They don’t talk to the media about the royal couple and I think that has caused a great deal of frustration to the media. They are very supportive to Kate and William and they seem to be one big happy family.
really? some may think that Kate’s sister and brother shouldn’t been seen much but I think people seem to forget that they are young and they should be able to go out and enjoy themselves. William don’t seem to have a problem with them going out and at times he even joins them. I think people still expect the future king to have stiff in-laws but thats no longer the case.
October 18th, 2009 10:15
^ Very true Rman. AND Sophie’s parents didn’t have a business that requires a certain amount of networking.
