Prince William & Kate Middleton to wed in 2012?
Royal Courtiers have apparently been briefed to begin preparations for a Royal Wedding in 2012. Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper reports…
A wedding is now being openly talked about at Buckingham Palace and early-stage talks are under way to dovetail William and Kate’s wedding with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Significantly, it is the year when Prince William turns 30, the age he famously said he was likely to get married.
According to a source, the Queen, who has insisted that her jubilee celebrations are kept separate from the London Olympics in the summer of 2012, has privately said she would be delighted if William and Kate’s wedding were to coincide with her diamond celebrations.
Nothing is set in stone but 2012 is the date that is now being talked about,’ one royal insider told The Mail on Sunday. ‘Whether William and Kate get married in 2012 or the year before, it will be the Queen who will throw them the most wonderful party and the line of thinking at the moment is that 2012 could be the perfect date. It would be the opportune time to put Britain and the Royal Family on the world stage.’

All I can say that by 2012 William & Kate will most likely be busy traveling around the Commonwealth to help celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. That will be a very busy year for the royal family. I do not see a wedding being put on at that time.

Guys, Guys, just think who is writing this. 2012 is just not feasible when the itineraries of possisble guests are involved. For most royal and ruling guests three visits to UK will be a bit much in the same half year. HM’s Jubilee and the Olympics will take care of police and security planning and this wedding will need the highest security as the route and several buildings have to be checked , rechecked and secured for quite a time..
If PW is out of the RAF during the next few months then I wouldn’t be surprised if they marry in 2011 despite my oft favorite year of 2014 which I still believe is their destined date, unless a possible ‘heartbrake’ occures which I do not completely ruleout. If that were to happen then 2010 – 2020 could be barren years for us and it could still happen.
It is also in my thoughts that KM’s overseas visit next year is still a possibility and I wouldn’t be surprised if her sister accompanies her for what may be a fair chunk of the year and could indeed be a catalyst one way or another.
My reason for saying this is that long term emotional and highly intensive relationships can suffer a ‘burn out’ over an eight to ten year period even though individuals retain great feelings for one another because over such time any and all doubts are exaggerated and fear can take over and the one thing the RF fear is doubt and another breakdown.
PW’s decision in Aug/Sept 2008 could still prove to be a huge complication both for the RF’s constitutional affairs and for KM.
All we can do is wait and hope.

I tend to believe Nichols this time. The Queen and Prince Philip are not getting any younger. If PW wants his grandparent(S) to see him wed they need to move things along. Kate is not getting any younger. I am hoping they will not want to start a family as soon they are married, so hopefully a married life without children for a few years first. That is a pipe dream I know, because if they think they are being hounded to the alter now, wait until the baby speculation begins after they are married. But one can hope.
William is coming off as a stubborn, rather self-centered p**ck for allowing his girlfriend to be dragged through the mud as a hanger-on without any VERBAL indication from HIM — even if not true — that SHE is the one dragging her feet. Selfish little jerk.

If there is no understanding between these two by now then I fear something has to give. May be KM should go to NYC and spread her wings a little, give PW something to ponder while she is away meeting new people, doing new things.
I think this could be a good move for them both ultimately, but only if one can view such a decision positively. I certainly would.

Guys we just have to remain patient. I know this waiting game is driving us nuts and maybe even to drink ( a shot of Hennessy don’t sound too bad) but all we can do is wait.
Everything is very quiet on the W&K front so it leaving me to believe that something good is going on behind the scenes. We have no idea what’s coming around the new year corner and we probably won’t know until after the new year.
Lets just hope that we will get put out of our misery soon.

There is no guarantee for Kate until he decides to propose officially. All the talk of everything else, promises, understandings mean nothing.
Only a official proposal announced by the Palace means it’s the real event. Every other story of supposed weddings are just tommorrows rubbish bin liners. Until William proposes to Kate she is his longterm girlfriend with no official standing.
How can there possibly be a wedding when he has not even proposed? The public nor the press can propose for him. No amount of predicting has made him propose so far.Maybe he feels he is not ready or still young and does not want a wife yet. Or is he stubborn as said before?
LisaB may be on to something, maybe a trip to ny or somewhere to let him miss her and she can spread her career wings for awhile.

I was under the impression that alsgal was very disappointed when the engagement last March did not come. And after that she lost interest in the couple, or at least blogging about it. I think once she wrote something like – ‘oh, we keep writing the same stuff since 2006, we might as well copy and paste it.’
I might be wrong. But I rather think she lost interest than think that sth bad happened to her.

Alsgal was a writer — or a comedian. Her stories where hilarious, and the characters she created were fully draw with just a few sentences. I assume that she is working on her own material for publication or performance, and as Rman suggests, she may well return if the engagement is announced.
