Kate Middleton attends movie Premiere
Kate Middleton has made a rare public appearence attending the premiere of Tenacity on the Tasman, held at the Odeon Leicester Square. The Daily Mail reports…
Prince William’s girlfriend joined her friend Holly Branson at the premiere. The 27-year-old wore a light blue mini dress, blazer and boots to watch the film – which charts the story of Olly Hicks, who at 23 became the first person to row solo from America to England.
In recent weeks rumours of a royal wedding planned for 2012 have intensified…
‘Nothing is set in stone but 2012 is the date that is now being talked about… Whether William and Kate get married in 2012 or the year before, it will be the Queen who will throw them the most wonderful party and the line of thinking at the moment is that 2012 could be the perfect date.’

I do love the idea of the outfit, the dress with a jacket. I also like the colour of the dress. Her Hair looks the best, I love that style. But there is something slightly off about the outfit? Like it isn’t balanced. I may be being to picky but this isn’t the best I have ever seen her. On the up side she is out with her friends which I think is good.

There’s a lot of tweets today of W, H, K and C, which run as follows:
W and H: will be attending the Phantom of the Opera tonight (2-3 tweets by the same person whom apparently sings in the show; from I’m nervous, to can’t believe will be performing for W&H, to on my way to the theatre)
K: was seen in the Rugby (1 tweet) and another tweet said she was shopping in the Givenchy Storein Kings Road (Tweet by Dean Pipper)
C: two different tweets she was spotted last night in Embargo Club with Charlie Simpson from the band ‘Busted’.

Again I’ve been catching up on the ‘happenings’ and thgere doesn’t seem that very much has changed .
Stories and theories abound but in all honesty non of us really know what is happening either within the RF or within the lives of PW,PH,CD,KM.
Perhaps it’s wrong to speculate without being able to actually produce confirmation but I seem to think that PW is out of the country or at least has been out of the country but can’t really say where or why.
We have many times thought that KM has had regular meetings with PW’s “suit people” sometimes with and sometimes without PW and about three weeks ago didn’t exactly agree or accept (dont know which) what was said but didn’t stay around to clarify matters with PW.
Whoops!
True or false ? Sorry can’t answer.
Strange that we should now be classifying the regularity of the features of some of PW’s girl friends. Perhaps we should just stick to saying that KM has an ethereal aura about her and is many times more beautiful in the flesh than in photographs but for Hollywood glamour or even Miss Universe looks then ‘Lady Nats’ is the real thing. (Am I in trouble now!?)

Crap no on Lady Nats her eyes are so wide apart she looks like she has them on another head! Three weeks ago is the heathrow shots or thereabouts…. I don’t believe she would visit the suits without William, unless he was out of the county on official duty such as war! I don’t think they would have the time of day for her until she is engaged to him unless they were instructed to do something by him, it is william in charge of the suits not the other way around. In life you should always pick the path of least resistance when figuring things out or simply put move from point a to point b. As I see it there are only three things she could have been asked to do 1. Go into hiding/exile while pw is ‘fighting’ in Corsica or seeing someone else and not kate while holly and guy and the gang cover pw’s tracks. 2 change the date of an important event…perhaps she was to go on holiday and that isn’t going to happen now because of the overall exposure plan for william. 3 pose for paps or do more charity, change of tack and she doesn’t want to look silly doing either. Do this to take away from william being away. I wonder if he is at Lewa.

Well, these two mustnt like to spend time together. He’s only in London for the weekends and goes out on his own. I’m really starting to doubt if they are together at all. Am I the only one who finds it completely normal for William and Kate to go out separately? Just because William left Raffles alone doesn’t mean he cheated on Kate with the Buckingham Palace maid and a catastrophic breakup is imminent! When I was in a relationship a year ago me and my boyfriend would go out separately despite being in the same city and no-one questioned our relationship. Why should Kate and William be any different?
Perhaps the reason for Kate’s absence is that shes smart enough to not get photographed leaving a VIP club knowing full well the horrible media criticism that will follow it!

Guys these two have gone out without each other before so there’s nothing more to it.
Ked my friend we are approaching 2010 very fast and yes I do think something will come up next year. The couple has come a long way since their university days and and I think decisions are being made up now.

I just watch again the photos at the movie premier: too much happiness in kate’s smile. No worry. This couple is still together, until William’s staff confirms differrently, as they did when he and Kate split in 2007. Until then, I will assume, as should other level-headed royal watchers, that Kate and William are together in a happy, comfortable relationship. That photo was taken in 2007. Also, the hairstyle was completely different anyway.
When Kate engages in active leisure activities, she does pull her hair back – most people do.
That was a classic ponytail and in this week’s picture is was a upsweep. Besides there are hundreds of pictures of Kate with her hair down.
We are talking about Kate going to an event with paparazzi and wearing her hair in an upsweep style. This is new for her.

Wills and Kate ought to be able to go out separately without the sky falling in or an assumption that they are not together any more being made. They’ve gone out separately this year and they went out separately last year. It’s not a new thing, and it’s not critical.
The only people who are making something out of it are the people who don’t want Wills and Kate to be together. Those people are anxious to see any sort of sign that their wishes are coming true, so they project their hopes of a break up onto every occurance that happens, hoping and wishing that THIS time, their wishes will come true and it really will be a break up. Those people have been hoping and wishing for a break up ever since Wills and Kate got back together in 2007, and so far they’ve continued to be disappointed, as no break up has happened.
I’m sure the people hoping for a break up are upset that one has not occurred, so they continue to try to reshape reality by pretending everything that happens is a bad sign, no matter what.
This is real life, not a television show or a bunch of movie sequels. And in real life, even the most loving couples go out without each other occasionally. If Wills and Kate were going out without each other even 2 times a month every single month, then it would look like there was a problem between them. But that isn’t happening. Both of them are rarely seen out and about, Kate even more rarely than Wills. They’ve both been out with each other (but not clubbing) this year and they’ve been out without each other this year.
It is illogical and silly to assume that a couple is broken up just because they went out without each other, unless they’re going out like that on a regular basis, which Wills and Kate have not done. Therefore, what is all the ‘hoopla’ about?
It’s the people who don’t want to see Wills and Kate together who are stirring up the most comments and controversy.
IMO, P, Guest, Lisa, Phoebe, NYme, Me, and Rman are all correct.

Ok is someone posting for ked? I now think the 1 M comment was a joke and if I didn’t know any better I would guess Ked was James Middleton _ pulling everyones leg including kates! For what it is worth someone who.knows them has told me that the original break up was Kates doing afterall. She pulled the plug on him for the flirting bit as she has many times before. Only that time it was over and she walked away. What ensued was months of PW desperate to have her back and her only agreeing much later than everyone thinks. The story is that she is going to New York but for a very short time in the new year – about 4 weeks. Where she will make her decision as to whether she is up to the job or not. And contrary to my beleifs She has NO interest in TVS. Apparently William is absolutely lost with out her. She provides him with a grounding he cannot get from royal life or family. They are tiffing right now but it is only a tiff nothing serious. Kate has said that she needs time to figure out if she can do the role. William is no where near ready to marry but soon after NYC she figures she will either bow out for good or they will agree and plan marry in 2011. Oh and the royal who doesn’t like Kate? It is Camilla – perhaps afraid that the public will go back to Camilla hating days with the young ‘ethereal’ beauty permanently in their midst. The Queen has met her and likes her.

I also don’t see why this should mean breakup at all… and I won’t until I see many more regular occurrences of them going out separately; or if the media confirms it; or if either is seen with someone else.
Because even if they’ve been out separately this week, we can’t say they haven’t seen each other at all. There’s no way to prove it. Besides,
(1) Why is Kate in London this weekend? Twitter says so. Doesn’t she normally spend weekends in the country unless Wills is in town?
(2) Kate attended a premiere of Wills’ good friend. Shows she’s still tight with the royal crowd.

Well, Mapleleaf this time you’re not totally right.. I am one of those who have a problem believing in this relationship right now. And I have always wated the two to be together. For life. But the way they behave now worries me a lot and I’m not able to fool myself much longer. Yes, they have gone out seperately before. Many times. And why would you do that when you don’t see eachother through the week? Why don’t they want to spend their free time together?? Yes, a lot of people do things seperately, but they spend more time together than apart. Kate and Will spend very little time together, so why seperate lives when they can be together?? Good Night My Royal Peeps,
I was only gone for a couple of hours and you guys are already at each others throats. Our friend Ked is known to shake things up a bit so there’s nothing new there.
From what I can tell is that William & Kate are doing just fine but just spent a night out without each other, it don’t mean that they are not in contact with one another or going back home to each other. They are doing what many couples do and that’s having your own night out. It’s very healthy for every relationship. I remember we were at this same page when William went out to a club before he and Harry went to Africa for the charity bike ride. Kate did not accompany William to the club and all hell broke loose on the royal forums. Still everything was okay on the William & Kate front.
We just have to learn to keep calm even when things look a bit funny and lets not be too quick to jump to conclusions. I think we get this way because this couple are total pros at keeping us all on our toes and on the edge of our seats. They give us smiles, polo outings, clubbing nights, vacations, hunting sessions, society wedding pics, and sometimes even royal family events and still they don’t say so much as a syllable about one another. That is what keep us guessing and the media speculating.
You guys may disagree with me on this but one thing I can tell is that William & Kate are in love with each other and they do whatever it takes to keep the love going despite the worlds eyes on them. That tells me that this couple will make it. They will hit a few bumps in the road but as long as they keep walking hand in hand through the fire they will make it.
atx, I think that happens because Kate is judged so unfairly on so many levels by some people. She gives no reason for people to be so nasty towards her and that really bothers many of us. But I now realize that this will continue to happen until this girl speak for the first time and begin to show us that there’s more to her than just being the pretty royal girlfriend in the background. Things are going to change once people get to know her better. Not everyone will like her even then but people will have a better understanding of Kate Middleton. That royal engagement is the key to a new beginning.
Now only if we can get that key!

Sorry but the “entrainement” at the RAF has been cancelled due to dangerous wether conditions. So william was back to london before saturday. So how can you say “why would you do that when you don’t see eachother through the week?” you ask the question and anwser it yourself. We dont know if they spend friday and saturday together or not.
“Why don’t they want to spend their free time together??” Really they dont want??? how can we say that? I’m pretty sure they spend more time together than apart when william is not at the base. We all know for a long time kate and william wont go any more together clubbing. More photos paparazzi when they are together and more bad press. When william is alone, just a short article in the sun (this morning) without compromised comments from the newspaper and nothing in the daily mail. That’s the point!!! not to feed the papers. It will be counterproductive for kate to go clubbing with william and face the paparazzi regarding the arrangement made by her lawyers concerning the press. She just cant!! when she goes with girlfriends (if this is really the case) we have no pics and no prooves. So she plays it very softly. We will not have any more photos of kate and william together out of a club, never more. This week end I had a party for a friend who’is going to marry in two weeks. My husband was not invited it was a girl affair (dont know the name in english : enterrement de vie de jeune fille). And tomorrow I go to the basket because I do sport, and on saturday afternoon my husband play tennis with his mates, we love each other very much and are married for 12 years.

We have to remember that this couple have a private life too. Their togetherness will not always be for public viewing. We have to get use to them not always being together because that’s how it’s going to be even when they get married. at the premiere, KM wore her hair in a different “going out” hair style; and, she wore considerably more eye makeup than usual; she was clearly wearing dark eyeliner on both upper and lower eyelids. the difference was noticeable.
the pictures reminded me of her 2007 breakup, when she made a point of flashing a beaming smile to the cameras and wearing her skirts considerably shorter. in 2007, she was making a concerted effort to look unfazed by the breakup and “happy to be free”
sure, maybe this recent outing was just girls night out. but there has been a string of coincidences, starting with her rather crestfallen facial expressions at LHR, and trying to shield herself from the cameras
i don’t think it’s envy at all that drives posters to question where things are headed.

i’m simplifying things greatly, but on many blogs, people post back and forth in a fairly civil and mature manner, mainly focusing on aspects of the issues under discussion; this blog used to be that kind of blog. it used to accomodate more nuance and display more sophistication.
on other kinds of blogs, posters become fairly emotional; they may approach issues in a very non-nuanced way, and insist on a single “groupthink” viewpoint regarding an issue; they may not be able to tolerate any disagreement or divergence of opinion; they may also gang up on one poster or another, and form coalitions; or they may condemn any posters who express any dissenting views; or they may publicly choose sides, as school children might do in the schoolyard during childish squabbles.

I think everyone should be able to express their opinions staying on target (article or the BRF in discussion) without bashing a/the poster. We all in some way or another criticise, play the guessing game (positive or negative) and speculate. No one has the absolute truth.

Mapleleaf I did have a wonderful sleep.
I know we are getting tired of this but we just have to wait and see what’s going to happen. I do think something is in the works and I hope we will some evidence next year.
The people we are waiting on is William & Kate and they have yet to tell us anything. We need to hear from them. The Palace can plan all they want but it’s the couple that has to set things in stone. I think because they have put this high guarded wall up since they left university, it’s what got everyone including the media guessing on which year the wedding will take place. The media is busy linking the wedding to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations but in reality they really don’t know when it’s going to happen. We have yet to hear from the couple and the members of the media are already going out to buy their suits and dresses for a 2012 wedding.
What we need is the engagement announcement and then everything can kick off. With the Queen going to Canada in 2010 and William going on a official trip to down under in 2010, that lets me know that an election is not ruining the royals plans so I’m hoping that something will be made by next year.

Hello everyone! As you may realise, I am fairly new to posting on this site altho I do run round all the royal sites for news/pictures. I prefer to post here as everyone always seems so positive, not just re Kate and Will but show a positive attitude to each other’s opinions.
If what poster Really has to say is true, well, we shall all find out pretty soon! As I’ve said before, I view a little trip for Kate as something else that’s positive. Sometimes to gain a bit of perspective, it’s a good thing to get away for a bit. I shall be doing the same thing myself in just a few days for a few weeks.
All the constant speculation must really take a toll after a while. In any case, if Kate does go abroad for a while, what does it prove? It proves she’s thinking! Well, good for her. I’m pleased so far that they have not rushed into anything.

That’s 2 persons with similar Kate stories (one was given to me in private).
We’ve had stories here from someone who went to Mustique and met W&K.
A French sister of a worker who was hired (the entire catering company) to Highgrove last years PC birthday detailing the Kate and Chelsy actions/reactions with the invites and what they where wearing, and how they acted. Many believed her because of coincidential behaviour, one going from table to table the other clinging to her redhead?! And why believe? Because one has lived her entire life in the UK, while the other not and hasn’t been much in the fold like the one.
An Elizabeth also came here claiming to know and gave lots of inside interesting information.
Our Redlady neighbour of the area (KM parents house in Berks) and so on.
Believing it or not is upto each person. Let’s be respectful. We all have cherry picked and yes I also try hard not to crack up (laughter or cry in disbelief) with posts like of Karagiosis!
So what is seen or perhaps portrayed in the outside by the press may be different from the inside.
IMO, W&K will sooner or later marry.

I’m not really sure about this New York trip because Richard Palmer did mention that the New York rumor is not true even though the press was printing that story. If she goes to New York that would be fine but I’m not sure if it’s true. Sometimes the false rumors travel for awhile.
Lisa, Clover or Mapleleaf I would like to see a scan of the Hello! articles on Kate and Anne. If you guys could scan if for me I would really appreciate it.
I just think the media is speculating and waiting just like us all.
I hope William & Kate keep strong and not let the speculations ruin what they have together. You can try to continue to ignore the press but like you said LadyB it can take it’s toll. This couple has come a long way from their university days and I’m sure their love had deepened since that time.
People can say what they want about Kate but I think she has handled the stress of this long courtship pretty well and that is one of the reasons why we are so interested in her. I know on the other royal forums, YouTube and even the tabloid sites people have become pros at ripping her apart about every little thing but they have failed to realize that after all the stuff they put this girl through (on the internet) she has remained strong, continues to smile and she is till with her prince. That should put things into perspective for them and I think it does but they just have a hard time admitting it.
I continue to pray for this couple because I think they deserve it.

sarcastic, I think when people say that she wears the pants in the relationship I don’t think they mean that she bosses him around and goes on to demand a marriage. People think that whatever William tell her to do she will do but this girl don’t look like she can be pushed around by anyone, including William. I’m sure William don’t mistreat her in anyway.
This girl would not have made it this far if she wasn’t a strong woman. I know on the other forums they like to dub Kate as a weak girl that has no control over her relationship and where it’s going but I think there’s more to this girl and she don’t let anyone just walk all over her. I also don’t think everything is completely on William’s terms. When you are in a long-term relationship like this you talk things through and you make decisions together. I’m with you Kd, they got this girl all wrong.
Ked, William & Harry will go on to do great things together because they are the future of the Monarchy. They will collaborate on many charities together and try to make a difference and once William & Kate marry she will join them. She will be William’s support and help the young royals turn the Monarchy around. She will be a part of this Ked, just wait until the announcement comes. They are not leaving this girl on the side of the road for a decade. Lets be reasonable here. I do believe that KM is a self confident young lady. However, I somehow doubt that she really needs time to (quote) think it through if she can fill the role (unquote). Come on ! Its been 7 years or so now. Perhaps she had second thoughts the first months or so – because then everybody in a new relationship is trying to figure out if it works or not. But I am very certain that by now, after 7 years or so, Kate knows what she wants. I think she has genuine feelings for him and she is determined.
Also, the ‘William is lost without her’ story seems a bit exaggerated. That he is happier with than without her – that is probably true. I still think that it is not only William that postpones any official engagement. I think it is also the palace – they want to build up William and Harry before they both get married.
JMO – my guess is he proposed in private already – he would not leave her hanging in limbo. The Queen and Philip were engaged for a long time until it became official – so it has happened before.
And as for Camilla – I think she is okay with Kate. I understand that she is rather grounded, this is why Charles loves her so much. She will not make the mistake and play for the press (or anybody else) the ‘evil’ mother in law – because she and everybody else knows she could only loose this ‘war’. I understand she has a good relationship with both William and Harry. And lets be reasonable here – with the history of Charles – William and Harry will be allowed to marry whomever they want. I am certain that Charles (and Camilla) will not let the young men go through what they had to go through.

Of the interview, I thought that the most interesting part was the fact that the wedding of Willliam and Kate would probably happen two months after the engagement announcement. If that is the case, they could get married at any time. I am hoping that they don’t wait until 2012. As someone who is routing for william and Kate I hope it is sooner than later. For them, I hope that they will be very happpy together whenever they get married.

Well yes, really?, I believe Kate has the harder part to accept or not, she wasn’t born into it, she has choices she may take. Any other UK citizen retires at the corresponding age and does whatever they want to do. If she accepts, it will be married to the BRF and work forever until death. She has enjoyed the girlfriend status and every year that goes by there is pressure to both, but more goes her way.
As many have said that Prince William cannot get it wrong (divorcing like his father, uncle Andy and auntie Anne), I also put my feet in Kate’s shoes and all the what ifs of being married to the baggage that the Monarchy and its rules represent.

Me, I hear what you are saying but I really think Kate would have had to have thought this thing over long before now. They could have gone their seperate ways in 2007 but didn’t. Kate knows the deal and has accepted it,I believe. I don’t think either Kate or William, knowing full well his duty to marry and produce an heir, would have gone this far if there was no future or if that future was in question. We just have to wait til they announce their plans and all will be revealed.

Kate most definitely consented to the lifestyle by staying with William. No worries there. I believe all this speculation has gotten waay out of hand. People need to just leave these two alone and let them live their life. When they have something to tell,we will hear about it. I really hate to see what would happen if they decide to put off marriage for a few years, which is possible. They live in a fishbowl now but that fishbowl gets a whole lot smaller once they day “I do”. I sometimes feel really bad for them in that sense.

I think someone very close to kate reads this site and that is all I will say about the matter. I would say that she didn’t sign it if that is what it was and where was her lawyer? Her mother? My feeling is most definitely the engagement will be two months with them, people would go nuts with another waiting period and the hate would mount. Again this is what I have heard I know something critical is to happen but not yet. By critical I mean decisions but that is not until at least 4-5 months after January. Kate has had a long time to get use to being Williams girlfriend. William has pushed back on marriage for a long time because he beleived it would hem him into everything. He is figuring out a way to stay away from the Royal Life as much as possible because that is when he feels he has no longer has choice. This has nothing to do with kate as she is ok with the way things are right now and has a tendancy to wait things out (pardon the expression) I don’t think she is the type to think things through until they are a reality , not an insult but just the way she is.

All the speculations just lets us know that we really don’t know when it’s going to happen. My guess it that something will happen between 2010/2011 but that’s just my guess and I hope I’m lucky. We just have to wait until Buckingham Palace, St. James’s Palace or Clarence House give us the word.

Really, is your friend a really good friend of KM or her family?
The spin about how PW is lost without KM leaves one gaping in astonishment.In reality how many areas of PW´s life can KM influence?Career,investments,choice of place of residence,day to day activities…!!!?This is a man who has people to run every aspect of his life.KM`s claim is to say the least absurd.Unless of course she means the services she as a young woman can provide him.
I also find it hard to believe that after more than 5 years in this relationship,she will need time to think whether she is ready for the job or not,and especially a job which has not been offered yet.( How funny this sounds:KM is going to NY to think about a marriage ,the proposal of which has not been offered because the prince is not ready,and when he gets ready, then they will marry in 2011.)IMO if kate is going to NY it is because she starting to realise that this marriage may not happen and she is exploring other prospects for her life .If she finds something she will stay there,if not she will come back and continue to see PW when he has free.
I personally do not belive PW is anywhere near marrying anybody(not in his 20s) and this is known and supported by his family.And at the same time I do not think he will break it off with Kate.If he does not want to marry her ,i believe he will drag it out ,see her only occassionally to keep people guessing,with only KM and family knowing how undedicated he is(basically putting KM in the position of having to walk away and at the same time avoid being called a cad).

Me, I don’t know where you got that from but I can say that a wedding or even an announcement this side of June next year is completely out of the question.
There is going to be an election in this country at around about that time and it is against the constitution for the royal family to pre-empt that at any point.
Forget a wedding or engagement at least until the election has taken place, I am absolutely sure that is a given.

If a wedding is due next year, the royal team will have lots of time on their hands during the election to put a wedding together. It can take place after the elections because the royals can go on about their business once the government is settled. The Queen is going to Canada next year. If one is scheduled to happen an announcement can be made early within the year. Folks we just have to wait and see because we are already talking about a wedding without an announcement.
Although talking about it is fun and I like that it brings lots of joy to the BRW site.

I think KM is extremely influential in PW’s life. I think she keeps him grounded and is probably one of the very few who is completely honest 100% w/him even when he doesn’ want to hear the truth. I think she may even guide him the way Diana did – remember both women came from the real world, not the BRF.

Me,you are right.When in college I can see how KM could have been his balance.Today ? doubtful.I mean even their friends are first and foremost his friends.
Anyway I like your sense of fun about all this engagement rumours .I at first took them seriously but after waiting in vain and doing some investigation ,I have come to conclude this is just talk/writing to sell newspapers,books ,for I have not read,seen,heard anything to suggest there is an engagement on the way.Just look at the nonsense KN writes:-and the editors don`t blush putting them to print.
KM and PW are continuing to date as they were doing 5 years ago and PW is doing more and more royal duties ,period.
However Iam willing to hear from anybody who can give reason as to why they believe there is an engagement on the way whichever the year(2010,2011,2012…2014….).

Accordingly of what I’ve heard the real interesting article is Princess Anne interview and walk through at the Buckingham Palace.
Now if I where the editor and I placed the cornered photo of Princess Anne as she appears, would it be appeasable to the public to purchase? I don’t think so.

With regard to pre-nuptial agreements: apparently they were only found to be legally enforceable in the UK this year. On the other hand, there are pre-nups and then there are pre-nups: I understand that Mary Donaldson signed one before she married Fred which did not deal with money, but which said that she would no seek custody of any children if they ever divorced. But it is correct that anyone party to the proceedings who would reveal such information would be at risk of firing, at best, or disbarment at worst.
