It is a very interesting article and with a very very different perspective of what the actual young royals will do or are planning to do.
I recommend the read.
Who knows, Prince William might be Governor General for Australia one day, instead of having the loooong wait, like his father to be King?!

Andrew Pierce is the Royal Editor for the Telegraph.
Its the first time I read the perspectives he puts out, apparently the Queen, PP, PC are in accord with the William and Harry Plan.
It seems like they (or he; Andrew Pierce) is throwing the ball to the Australians and Canadians for a ‘possible future’ postings when their time comes and to be considered for William and Harry.
I’d love to see both boys; one posted in Australia and the other in Canada.

It would nice to see Harry take on that job. But somehow I really don’t think the princes would get it. They are better off in Britain.

Unlike other members of the Royal family, they do not have equerries to lay out their clothes and they do their own ironing in the rented cottage they share near RAF Shawbury in Shropshire. The flunkeys who will wait upon them hand and foot (and who will be officers they have worked alongside) will not arrive until they go back to civilian life.
i wish this kind of thing was reported on more .. it really shows Di’s influence without being in your face about it….

The comments to that Herald Sun article from the “man on the street,” which were HILARIOUS, say it all. Best William and Harry find something to do in their own country and leave Australia to the Australians. Lest they too want to be known as followup acts to George III. I’m just sayin.

Me, Sorry don’t get the significance of your dedication of #1 above to me and I must say I was a little surprised. We had just arrived home from ‘Strictly’ and decided to catch the latest news and noticed your post. OK thanks anyway.
Interesting but old history now really. PH left RF Shawbury several weeks ago upon the completion of his course and PW reputedly has been living in London for the past 4/5 months.
I think I mentioned that of all the stories on here there are at least 50x that number in and around King’s Road. Amongst others is one that hints that KM knows that over the past few months further developements may be of a longer time into the future than the timetable originally planned even a couple of years ago, but it is also not thought to worry her too much.
I don’t know why PW is being considered as a GG for Australia when a distant cousin, Lord Mauchline , is Australian born and probably (dependant on the legitimacy of Edward 4th) has a better claim to the British Crown than PC, PH or PW.
It’s not clear if PW has ever met Lord Mauchline or his two sisters Rebecca and Mandy(who I think may even be princesses) but as he is visiting Australia shortly perhaps that may be rectified.
Away sunday for ten days or so but will catch up one way or another. Bye all for now

I think the couple is in some planning stages at the moment and I hope that we will start to see some serious moves in the upcoming year. I hope.
I’m not sure the princes will be considered for the GG post despite reports. I think it’s been made clear that post is only for an Australian citizen.

Thx for the pics of HM, Rman.
I like HM’s fashion sense, it is always very appropriate. Unfortunately, she looks very tired in some photos. Even with all the conveniences of traveling with a private plane and all, traveling must be tiring for her. She is in her 80s now, other people at that age enjoy retirement by then. As for the white dress with the birds – she is working hard, leave her a moment to be silly. It is okay, really. However, she is wearing the wrong underwear (no offense, Your Majesty). Her breasts seem really heavy, and the bra does not seem to give her the right support.

I posted the above link because it strikes me as if something similar is going on here when you see the RF pushing W & H forward together.
Also, for sometime now I have been thinking that until William is married then they are unlikely to send Harry to a war zone again.
Lisa, I agree with you its not because W & K do not love each other that they have as yet failed to take it to the altar but because I maintain the W sees marriage as a prep to full time royal duties. In W’s mind these two things are inextricably linked.
I’m still with the 2011 date.
Also, for those who thought they that W & K had split…….again, take note they are at Sandringham……..together.
