Im really sorry (or not) , but I don’t believe that you saw “the original list of people helping”. She didnt “take the glory”. Tom and his mother also got attention. That the photographers take lots more pix of her than any other guest, isn’t anybody’s fault . It’s how it has to be really.
From what I have seen, even those who really hate/dislike Kate, approve of this coat. Even on the “we hate Kate and make up totally silly stories about her” -forum, they like her coat.

So far I haven’t seen any tabloids report this story so there truely isn’t any glory to be had. Just blogger websites & picture agencies…. Kate looks nice & I’m glad she helped out. There was much a do about nothing made from a picture is Kate supposedly sneaking into the church with booze on the we hate Kate website. The picture was edited as there is another persons hands with a glass which Kate is probably helping pour alcohol into….

They should post this video on the sites that don’t think Kate is good enough for William. Think of who else poor England could get stuck with as their queen. Kate starts looking pretty good.

    Well Rman

Unfortunately I have no sympathy for Charles. I adore (from the internet) William and Harry but Charles made a decision which caused all of this strife so he has to deal with the fall out. I’m not surprised the Queen wanted no part of it. It was a mess and had the potential to bring down the monarchy..

from the prince of wales website (secton diary)

Tuesday 15th December 2009: The Prince of Wales will attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen where he will deliver an opening address at the start of the High Level segment of the Conference.

Prince William and Prince Harry will attend ‘A Night of Heroes’: The Sun Military Awards at the Imperial War Museum, London. (Prince William’s attendance is dependant upon his availability during his Royal Air Force flying exams, which take place during the month of December.)

So the sun is the ONE with the right information and news always. I supposed the Daily Mail is black outed (remember they wanted to buy the diary of the prince of wales and the supreme court has put a no on their request).

kd I’m guessing that there is some sort of restriction on stories which can be printed about kate. The movie outing was a public event so the press were able to report on that. I’m not sure if the Carol Service concert was the same thing???

I don’t know what is going on with the newspapers and Kate at the moment. There have been rumors that she does indeed live in London

Kd, no, but perhaps they will leave it to their Editor in Chief – Royal Correspondents; DM Katie Nicholl writes Sundays and The Sun Duncan Larcombe (IMO) has the ace card, waiting for authorization to publish, he hasn’t written any W&K story since beginning of September 2009, recall the last one was “Jibes won’t faze W&K they already set their date” article, if that sends a message…
I think KM lives at Berks. And once in a while drops in at Chelsea. That event was a week day from 7 pm to 10 pm – I don’t see a problem of working and then participating in some evening function. Berks to London is about 1 ½ hour drive.

The press restrictions are getting weirder and weirder. If I was not so utterly confused about where this thing is going,I would be inclined to think all this is a way of manipulating her press ahead of an announcement. I guess we will find out after the holidays. I doubt any announcement before that. I also cannot imagine they can keep this press “ban” or whatever it is going on forever.

jj, yes that might be the case.

During a Carol Service we do not allow photographs to be taken and it is inappropriate for applause.
Refreshments are welcome and should be set up and served under the portico – not inside the church – to minimize congestion and keep exits clear.

I read somewhere – Kate is out and about as ever, she apparently never went into ‘hiding’. However, for a time, the press were not allowed to report about it.
As for the book of the secretary – I cannot help but think that she is now trying to make money and increase her retirement budget. I doubt that Charles would have married without his beloved mothers consent. So, the book is a no no.

“I doubt that Charles would have married without his beloved mothers consent.”

I believe that he can’t marry without it. Regardless of her personal feelings (he is her son, after all), she probably bowed to the inevitable, and felt that it looked better to have them married rather than just living together.

    Good Evening Folks,

yup, it’s always been known that Kate is a hands on kind of girl but people ignored that in their efforts to bash her. Even at William’s birthday picnic last year she helped unpack the car, help set up the tent and even help packup the picnic items. We have seen that she is not lazy like people like to claim. This is why I think people got this girl all wrong in my opinion. She just seem to be a down to earth young lady that captured the heart of a prince.

    @yup post #56:

;) yup, you might as well spare us the made-up stuff.

Of course I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m not buying into what you’re trying to sell and I think a lot of the regulars who post here on BRW feel the same as I do.

Rman made a valid point: Kate Middleton has been photographed helping to unpack a car, taking out boxes at PP, and unpacking picnic items, and doing other things. It’s very easy to check Getty Images or Isifa to see pics of Kate engaged in various activities.

And it’s stated on the Starlight Foundation website as well that Kate helped with a children’s party early on the same day of the Starlight auction party.

What all that boils down to is: none of us has any idea what is or is not “certainly not like her”. We don’t know what Kate likes or doesn’t like to do, and we literally don’t have a single clue what her daily activities consist of.

I am with you too Mapleleaf. After this length of time, William knows Kate. She does not have anything to prove to him. In fact, she has nothing to prove because he know who she is. From where I stand, she is a genuine person who cares about others. It was not until recently that her envolvement in the Starlight foundation was revealed. Since then, she has been shown to work on other charity events. By now, I think that they both know in what direction the relationship is headed. In their own time, they will inform the worls.
